    Very good project.I used it to test a 2.4g cavity filter.There was little difference between the results and those measured by kc901.

    This is a really great piece of software you've coded! It makes Spectrum Analyzers easily accessible in the hands of many at a very affordable price.
    Question: Was your ADALM PLUTO modified to improve the TCXO and USB ground shields to get such great results with a very low SA noise floor?

      No, it's an ADALM-PLUTO not modified, with his original case, anyway the more precise TCXO, USB ground shield, and a metallic case are recommended!

    Hi Alberto... magnificent work... !! Top piece of software !! The spectrum analyzer for SDR Uno.. is good, but this is better.. specially with the TSA ! Any plans to extend to VNA possibilities ? Schmitt Chart etc.. ?
    Some friend of mine, asked me if there will be other HW devices like Lime SDR will be available for the future ?

      Hi Jempi! Thank you so much for your feedback! We working on to extend to VNA, but we don't found a cheap solution at the moment. I plan (I hope) to support other devices, stay tuned!

      Thank you, Georg!!! We working on developing a version for Linux, meantime I tested SATSAGEN on Wine and works well, with very little limitation!

      Thanks, Alberto. I've installed SATSAGEN with wine (--version: "wine-3.0 (Ubuntu 3.0-1ubuntu1)", it was installed and starts up without problems. Tested only basic functionality so far - seems to work!

    Awesome piece of software! Connection IP (192.168.2.1) happened to be my gateway. How to change it in Satsagen setting?

    why its scane rate is too slow in wideband mode , comparing to si4432 chip ?
    is it because sdr use fft and si4432 is sweep based tunner ?

      Hi, regarding r820t-based SDR devices, the slow scan is mainly due to the si4432 VCO settling time being about 50 faster than the r820 tuner PLL locking time. A faster scan can be reachable with other devices. For example, with an ADALM-PLUTO and SATSAGEN, the sweep time from 55MHz to 6000MHz takes about 600ms.

      @@albertoferraris is it possible to use si4432 as sdr with pc interface just for spectrum analyser purpose?
      And what causes problem in spectrum analyser with fast sweeping timing as r820 is 50 times slower what limits this ?

      @@omsingharjit Not yet, but I'll try to add that device next version. Regarding the r820 slow PLL locking time.
      Imagine you have a 100MHZ span to do (for example in a 100MHz to 200MHz sweep).
      An r820 / rtl2832 device allows a maximum error-free sampling rate of 2.4MSPS, which translates into an effective 1.2MHz of bandwidth following the Nyquist theorem. 100MHz / 1.2MHz = 84 steps. 84 steps * about 50ms (this is the time it takes the r820 / rtl2832 system to stabilize every step) correspond to about 4.2 seconds of sweep time.

      @@albertoferraris thanks you , you did your best to explaining but , what I think I understood that it's not because of its Analogue parts of sweeping or Pall but instead it's slow because of Digital Conversion Like FFT , ADC etc right ??
      And why chiper chip Si4432 is faster i have seen this chip is also used in Nano SA and heard that it's Sweeping based Spectrum scanning instead of FFt !! So is that FFT vs direct Sweeping Making Si4432 faster than rtl sdr based chip ? Or both chip Uses FFT anyway ?

      @@omsingharjit The slowest performance is not due to a sweep-based or FFT approach (at parity of resolution band setting used). Moving the r820t VCO through the frequency of a sweep requires time, about 50ms every 1.2 MHz step. The r820t was designed for TV tuner application, where changing TV channels so fast is not required, except in channel surfing competitions! 🙂

      you could use a bridge or a directional coupler suitable in the frequency range of your antenna.

    ADALM PLUTO is not working with this software and gives error "The CMDsrv port is invalid" .
    RTL SDR is also not working, the drivers are installed correctly with Zadig "and is tested with SDR#" but this software can not see the device at all.
    Any advice?

      Please check the TCP Port field from Settings->EXT In/Out tab. It should be 6570. If you can't fix it, try to reset the settings to defaults from the main menu File-> Special Func.->Reset to defaults.
