    Oh dear!😅
Funny story now but so sad…
I remember sitting down helplessly at a corner of d airport with 4 children and 20 bags not knowing what next to do with my life😂.. almost everything at home sold..just sent away, no provisions for us made ,not even a new date given.. Just sent away and SOLD OUR TICKETS despite we bought straight from their website many months ago.
Its a very very very terrible experience.
Nne m so sorry a/b this.. everyone has their immigration story, Im glad its ended beautifully 💕

This same thing happened to a friend who was supposed to fly qatar Airways, too. Makes me wonder if they target women flying alone with just their kids. Hers was so frustrating. She had 2 toddlers and a baby, and those wicked people were so callous.

To be honest Nigerian immigration staff and airport staff are one of the most traumatising people you will ever meet. I don’t know if it’s jealousy or envy, there is just this air of arrogance, like they’re not happy one has to travel or maybe the traveller is the government that has not been paying them regularly. Point is,their attitude stinks inside and out. 😢

I was speechless and confused, not knowing what to do. But pls o hope you filed a complaint? As long as you have the employee names please report them and tell them exactly what happen. They won’t tell you the actions they took on the employee/employees but they will tell you it will be rectified and sometimes they reward you for the inconvenience. I had to do that because my experience was too terrible!

As I was watching your video I went to confirm from my kids visa if their dad's name was on all of the visas since I also relocated with my 3 boys to join my husband in the UK. I just realized my 2nd son does not have his dad's name on his visa but it wasn't an issue at the airport. This man had it for you. So petty!!

My dear, send a petition to the airline stating the name of the man who caused you to miss your flight out of his mischief. Tell them that if you don't have an answer within a specified period you would hand over the case to your lawyer. Please take this as serious. Don't listen to those who say the case has been resolved. That man who did this would not go unpunished.

I think some of these airport and airline staff working in African countries are jealous of people who are relocating or those who travel a lot. They are seeing you living your best lives, spending on travel and migrating for better lives, and maybe they are not satisfied with their lives back home. I dislike their attitude.

This is so true I remember going to Cameroon with my sister(we have American passports), when we were leaving from there back to the US they tried to ask us for residence permit, telling us that if we don’t provide it we’ll stay there🤣🤣, (in my mind I was like, aren’t u instead suppose to repatriate me to the US if I don’t hv a residence permit?).

I couldn’t reach my partner cos he was at work (night shift) I had to call my in-law, he drove to my partner’s place of work at 5am to get a picture of the brp, you won’t believe the so called officer was nowhere to be found after I received the picture, I finally checked in without showing anyone the picture, they stressed me.

Meanwhile I was coming for school I explained to them that it’s normal, next thing they said they had to confirm my visa. Dem show me shege 😂 I watched the flight leave in my presence. This reminds me of a similar occurrence when I relocated temporarily with my kids to the USA in 2015. There was an issue with the sponsor's name on my kids' Visas. Luckily the immigration guys were able to get through to the US embassy to confirm the authenticity of the Visa and further took responsibility for the so-called mistake. We were eventually allowed to fly that night after a little back and forth with the officer. Trust me it was not a palatable experience.

I had to pause this video the minute you mentioned Qatar airways in Nigeria. Those guys are horrible. 1 year ago I bought a flexible ticket for my trip to Melbourne and arrived at the airport 30mins after the check in had closed. The flexible ticket meant I could cancel or change my date anytime without any fees. These people refused to check me in for my flight and that was how I kissed $2000AUD goodbye. I had to buy another seat for the next day that turned out to be a nightmare. It is also wild that you will go through security with scanning and you will still have people searching you at Qatar airways Nigerian boarding gate in lagos. One of their airport staff in Nigeria was telling me that she doesn't like how I had goldenmorn in my hand luggage ,she informed me that I should have checked it in my box. Anyway with Turkish airlines flying from Melbourne, we will now have more options other than Qatar.

Sadly their response is typical of most service providing company in Nigeria where their staff aren’t empowered to think for themselves. They are always afraid to be called out for bad service hence why the guy refused to take the call

Qatar air personnel in Nigeria are so annoying. I went through a similar experience and almost missed my exam.
The second time, one of the lady checking people in was so rude when I asked a question, I had to check her tone, and she was shocked. On the same trip they were trying to delay me for a luggage issue, I had to tell them that if I get delayed this day, that I will sue them this time around.
This foreign airlines that have branches in Nigeria need to carry out quality improvements plans. Or are they capitalising in a country that don’t give a care about their people so they can treat them anyhow.
Sorry about the trouble you went through, thank God you all made it safe against all odds.

Sorry about all you went through Adaeze, there is just this anger that lives in the heart of an average Nigerian who thinks your life is better than theirs, they try every means to exert their small power on you when they get the chance, e.g immigration officers, passport officers, gatekeepers etc

I met that type of guy at the American embassy in Lagos when I and my siblings went to renew our passports in anticipation of moving back to the US after High School. My elder sister also came with us to renew hers. Mind you my elder sister is 13 years my senior. This guy switched my passport with my elder sister’s. My mom was like are you telling me that I don’t know my children? He said that to prove it, my mom had to get proof from my sister’s elementary school. 😂😂😂😂 mind you my sister’s primary school in Brooklyn had closed down by that time going on 20 years. So my mom raised hell and asked to speak with his supervisor. She had our birth certificate, social s😢cards, and immunization records from infancy plus our passports which was the only requirement for renewal at that time. I guess the higher ups heard my mom yelling at the guy and came out. They took our documents and took us to a room. The supervisor came in, and apologized took our forms, signed it and told us to come back in two weeks to pick our new passports. People like that can frustrate your life. I think it is envy.

Like when they see that you’ve packed your things with your kids and you’re about to leave permanently, something in their bodies gets so annoyed that they just want to frustrate you (most likely out of jealousy). So sorry Ada, thank God it’s in the past.

Reactors keep on inventing stories and doing "reactor maths" 1+1= 47! It's only when you see Nelo in Ada's house in Norwich that you will understand those two are Paddy's for Life! 😂😂😂

What kept me going was I focused on her leaving Nigeria so much so that i dint care how much dollars it cost me to buy another ticket.
