Heather Trail 43km through-hike (BC, Manning Park)

The Heather Trail is a 43km through-hike in Manning Park. There are several backcountry campsites along the way and endless views of mountain meadows and surrounding peaks. The hiking is pretty easy but the sheer distance gives challenge to most travelers. We started at Blackwall Peak and made camp nearby at Buckhorn. From there we hiked a 20km+ day past the Brothers Peaks and Kicking Horse Camp all the way to Nicomen Lake. There are a few options from here but we opted to exit at Cayuse Flats via Grainger Creek.

That was a great hike! Your kids must be very active to make it through that.
Too bad about the vehicles😞 That really sucks that people go out there to steal!!! Did they get anything?
Hopefully, the ending didn't put too much of a damper on a great hike!

Yeah they got all ID, all credit/debit cards, wedding ring… it was painful. A lesson or two to learn I think.

Finally you have done something that I have done. Really too bad about the cars being broken into. I am so hesitant now to leave my car in a location where that can happen.

Avoid parking lots at the start of multi-day trails. Maybe the entire lower mainland :)
