I don’t recall I haven’t seen that video in a while. In the message sent to him, the guy said Mussolini was being incompetent and got naval invaded.
The reason why Mussolini doesn't make troops is because of what was historically called "Operation Axis," which was ehere Italian troops were disarmed, and German troops start to hold the Italian front.
Only naval forts provide attack penalties against naval invasions. While the land forts do guard against the surrounding landed divisions, it would have been more worthwhile for you to build up naval forts in Normandy.
Why? The ports defended successfully against the direct naval invasions, so more naval forts wouldn't have made a difference. I have to think that his forts were indeed built to defend against the landed divisions on the sides, which arguably they did.

It does help to get veteran divisions + manpower. The reason he took them off is because he had plenty of manpower, and therefore its better to produce something other than the support equipment needed to maintain field hospitals.
@@Hedlum generally in singleplayer the AI tanks that get made don't have enough armor for you to need dedicaed anti-tank, where artillery (and even sometimes anti-air because that has piercing) will do to pierce the tanks- not sure what the tanks premade in this mod are though so maybe the anti-tank would've been nice
like m8 cav recon is so op now, it gives 25% boost to soft attack from lline and support arty which like you didnt even mention, and line AA is very very VERY useful in this situation cause both the soviets and allies will have air supremacy

Actually the 'Port Cheese' Tactic is a real military tactic. You let the enemy take ground and then surround it from 3 sides, ideally destroy supply lines and the enemy will have huge losses
Well the reason it's cheese is because the AI will continue to funnel it even after the units are destroyed. Where a real commander (or even player) will understand that such a place is surrounded and won't try it again.

Bro, that plane design was really not optimal 1. Fill in ALL the slots with: drop tanks/extra fuel tanks and armour plates 2. Put in 2 lvl 3 engines in it, it increases agility and thrust, dosnt decrease anything else but increases fuel usage
but trades very well@@Bitt3rSteeli did some tests by myself and it was very ic efficient, due to the high air defence its losses are minimal and its high air attack kills so many fighters (my tests where i had an equal amout of ic on both sides testing my design against other popular designs)

I beat downfall on my first try but it took me a week and 13 hours of speed 2 and micromanagement to hold. It was 1947 when i beat the soviets. You beating the soviets without even trying that much hurts my soul.

Also question, do ya prefer to just have puppets or do ya plan on integrating them over time? Cause I feel like Italy at this point would have been better to be integrated once ya pushed the allies out.
i really wish there is a mod/ future dlc where you get a small 5% output bonus for having factories from one state assigned to making one type of equipment .... the idea of having all my t-34s made specificaly by factories from magnitogorsk is apealing

Maybe this will be remedied when everyone gets revisited one day...or randomly part of the Khazakstan DLC that we'll totally be getting in 2025.
Hoi4 really needs the Soviet Offensives to get buffed they should be like the Unplanned Offensive of the Spanish Civil War but in the opposite direction. Also I think it would be cool if they added false naval invasions.
I have a question about focuses: While you have a focus selected, pp gain is reduced by 1 per day. However, focuses give you 10 days to select one without losing progress, and during that time, pp gain is not reduced by 1 per day. Are there any disadvantages to using this for extra pp aside from the micro? (It's not much but in certain situations it might be useful)
havent played in a while so im not sure how accurate this is, but i remember seeing a pp cost for starting focuses if you let the 10 free days build up

For example, you finish a focus on 130 pp and you want an advisor, you can wait until the last moment in order to hire them quicker (for example a silent workhorse) then select the focus and deduct 10 pp from 0. The use cases are very few and rare though. The most useful scenario I can think of is if you're playing some kind of mod that reduces pp gain (if overall pp gain is +1.2 or even something like +0.8 the -1 from a focus is a lot bigger). For example if you're playing KR and you have negative pp gain (below +1, so positive when not doing a focus) if you get just below a necessary amount of pp (say 144 pp) and you finish a focus it is the difference between getting the advisor or not (and if it is a silent workhorse maybe even restoring positive pp flow much sooner, gaining you lots of pp long term). These scenarios where it lines up like this are very rare though, and in these cases you may want to just waste some days to get that extra pp. Most of the time when using it it is more of the first example.

True, but there's little interesting footage in staring at the battles. You should check out the average defensive battle in your own games. Defensive losses are negligible, and can be offset very easily even with the bombing debuff. The AI doesn't actually do much real bombing using Strategic bombers...it's really just that debuff. Now,once you start attacking is when the equipment and manpower starts to evaporate

This for persuade the victorious power to be lenient after the war. Anyway thanks to the "collaboration government" now we can simulate this event on every nation.... oh I remember, democracies still can't use collaboration government.

You mostly don't, you deal with it by supply light divisions and motorized logistics. Most of the time it is a waste of resources to build infrastructure there.
Without industry you can't really build much supply infrastructure. Maybe a single railway and a hub or two on the border. Otherwise invest in logistics companies and trucks to make supplies last longer/go further on the map. Small divisions that don't use much supply also help

I have a question, if I am playing historical finland in arms against tyranny I don't have much hope of building a worth while airforce in the short term so is it better to only use support AA in my divisions or would unit AA be better in that situation
My opinion is that every heavy tank that can destroy fifteen enemy medium tanks, is worth manufacturing. However, a Tiger that is destroyed by a Sherman Firefly or a British QF-17 Pounder early in its first battle is a total waste of metal. Also, are you sure XXI Elektroboot is not worth manufacturing? Maybe not in this game but I would think twice about real life.

Yeah the debuffs basically allows germany to full blitz soviets with divs that are 80% tanks lol
Every time I play Germany in Hoi4, I always plug the Vitebsk gab with forts and I build AA in the province, just to be save on that front.

You mostly don't, you deal with it by supply light divisions and motorized logistics.
Most of the time it is a waste of resources to build infrastructure there.
Without industry you can't really build much supply infrastructure. Maybe a single railway and a hub or two on the border. Otherwise invest in logistics companies and trucks to make supplies last longer/go further on the map. Small divisions that don't use much supply also help
The best mod out there atm that still is realistic and hard.

I have a question, if I am playing historical finland in arms against tyranny I don't have much hope of building a worth while airforce in the short term so is it better to only use support AA in my divisions or would unit AA be better in that situation
AA would be the better bet, yes
My opinion is that every heavy tank that can destroy fifteen enemy medium tanks, is worth manufacturing. However, a Tiger that is destroyed by a Sherman Firefly or a British QF-17 Pounder early in its first battle is a total waste of metal. Also, are you sure XXI Elektroboot is not worth manufacturing? Maybe not in this game but I would think twice about real life.
