You are welcome! I usually keep the thermostate at around 90, to allow easy flow and minimal smoke. I've never checked whether this is the actual temperature of the wax.

There are usually some residues of old wax that help to keep the reeds in place. As to closely spaced reeds: this method also works nicely with a 1 mm gap. I sometimes widen the gap to maybe 1.5 mm, let the wax flow and then push the reed closer to its neighbour while the wax is still hot. When there is very little space I wax the left edge of the reed already in place and place the new reed while the wax is still warm.

where I can get a tuning kit like yours? I'm from mexico, I need to repair and tune my accordion myself! and make some money repairing other accordions. because is very difficult to find a good repairman accordions. help please!
I'm afraid you will either have to make it yourself or have someone (brass instrument repairers are usually good at this kind of work) make it for you.
That's odd, because I've seen the same tool in several videos... I'd be surprised if someone in the last 200 years hasn't thought of mass-producing them..
