No one's appreciating the acting of the child that played Ning Xiang. Like in the kidnapping scene, bro blew my mind. His crying was on point because many actor just sound cringe while doing their crying part but he was so real + he made it really look like he's their son.

I bet the doctor regrets how bad he treated his ex-wife in the past. I am glad that she is taking her time and not running back to him. He broke her heart. Dr Ning should learn how to treat Dr Ruan better if he wants to get her back. Her wounds are very deep. Even though she still cares for him, her pain is blocking him. Dr Ning is a good mentor for her as a doctor but not yet as a loving partner.

I think the writer of the drama is very good. He/she manages to make everyone form a judgement against the doctor. Somehow i think that the doctor has a hidden story and it somehow contributes to why he is the way he is. Like some ppl say how can he be full of love towards Ning Xiang and not others. Maybe he sees himself in Ning Xiang 🤔🤔 why he has the principle of not getting too close to patients and such. I think he might have his backgrd story but it was not shown yet and he is someone who doesn't seem to bother explaining himself when ppl misjudged him.
I started this series a few days later than you and my comments were always more favorable towards the ML.This series is one of the few that is written realistic, not perfect but better than most. The lead isn't a perfect man , he has flaws and when the viewers stops to think the world be sble to see that is the charms of the character. I don't think that the writers have him suffering a overly traumatic incident but one that most doctors face and that is the lost and coming to terms that you can't save everyone. The ML character is gor myself more a favorable personality that I would in reality associate myself with as I find the lawyer low-key controlling. Some may say ' assertive ' ( which the character should be to practice his profession ) but, he does recognise the fact that the FL is timid. Shortly after meeting her he proceeds to tell her what and what not she shouldn't do. Ste has not confirmed day relationship with him but he under the pretense invaded her personal space. Had the actor who plays the role of the lawyer been less attractive, I am positive the comments would've been unfavourable towards the character.
I agree, the writers are doing a good job. Even the patients' stories are interesting. Such as the mother who passed away; the missing shoe on her foot was a small detail but very haunting and emotional. Plus, in this episode, it's starting to show the FL getting a first hand experience of what her ex-husband was going through. Hopefully, she'll understand his difficulty better through the experience.

What a dear little boy… he comes across so believable, genuine and sincere. He is a unique little fellow. I have dealt with many hundreds of children in my career, and every now and then a very unique and mature child comes along. Of course, every child is special in his/her own way, but some children are exceedingly clever, mature and different. This little boy is so lovely… he’s so delightful… he made me smile!

That is not snobbery, it reserved. He is an introvert. Oh , by the way in reality and make-believe worlds the villains are always very nice people until they are not. There's a saying " Never trust the ones who always smiles at all times, they have the most to hid ".
Ruan is in the same situation where Ning was seven years ago. When he failed to save his one patient and lost his appetite. As a result, he threw away the food. Ruan also lost her appetite after the death of the mother of the little girl. It is actually easy to judge people but when you are in their shoes you know what they have to go through. :)

Actually you didn't get the point. I was telling that his job created hectic pressure. And his wife's love became a burden for him as it was unusual for him. But even I also skip dinner after getting home completing classes of 12 hours.

Man the developing relationship of Dr. Cheng and Dr. Ding is way, way more interesting than the story of Dr. Ning and Dr. Ruan. There story is a bit bland and boring right now. Dr. Ruan and the lawyer Xue seems much more interesting :) But alas the drama was not written for them :(

Does that woman thinks bearing a child makes her mother? She has the audacity to tell him of his shortcomings when she abandoned her child. Looking at the environment she lives ( not in terms of the lack of material possession ) an abusive brother which left his mother to die in the stairway, the wife of said brother without a heart or soul for an elderly and the mother herself who has to care for her mother and is defenceless against her brother. If that woman truly loves that child she would haved not disturb his life to ease her conscience. After all ' love is senseless '.

So is the kid really his so years ago when they broke up because she had confessed to him and everything he took in a child that wasn't his or did he mess around with someone? So now they're getting close together again and he proposes to her but she finds that was planned by someone else and he didn't know those people were there and he got upset so it's like okay do you really love me or do you just want me to take care of your kid for you or so that you won't lose the kid it's kind of sad because she's actually has put her heart out to him and he's always like putting up barriers and okay and I know he has family dysfunction but you can always blame it on that and the thing is obviously you have the family nurture in you if you're willing to raise a child and give it Loving Care usually people that have trauma don't even want to have children or a relationship they just mess around with whoever and then that's it so sometimes he doesn't make sense
You are the first person to mention his family disfunction despite his mother said it was because she failed as a mother and he did not know what love was. Nice to see someone paying attention to that important detail. helps you to understand why he is the way he is.
