  • In this tutorial, I show how to use curve profiles for jewelry modeling in Blender. This is a simple technique that's great for quickly achieving a professional design. This design will be 3D printed and cast in silver in a future video.
    Timecodes:

    0:53 - Making/Editing a Curve
    2:22 - Curve Settings

    Josiah you did a great tutorial on making this pendant. Your instructions are very easy to follow and informative. Keep making these high quality videos on jewelry designs. You’re an asset to the jewelry industry and the blender community.

    Thanks for this! I won’t say any names, but every other Blender jewelry making video I have seen is terrible. You do a good job of staying on track, and I also appreciate that you repeat the shortcuts you’re using, it really helps solidify them in my memory.

      Agreed, a lot of other courses don't seem to be grounded in reality.

    Hey buddy. Amazing video. Can we have a tutorial for the final animation and texture? How you build the surrounding and how you animate the object. I’m really interested in that :)

    Blender 4 appears to be different than what was there in 2. Can you do an updated version? Mine will not render subdivisional modifier without applying it.

    Amazing tutorial🙂 Quick question, at 22:00, after selecting "Object" under "Bevel options", and then Click the object. Nothing happens in my design, as in I can only see the lines.. Would you know why this is?

    this tutorial is great - thankyou. As a complete beginner I can't work out why the shortcuts you use don't work for me. Do you have to set thia up first?

      Is there any particular one you're having issues with? Those should be the default ones, though some of them require other buttons to be pressed or for the numpad to be used rather than number keys.

    Hello what is your g short cut ? I can’t seem to edit the circle with it

    • @GraceNoteForge
      @GraceNoteForge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I was editing the curve, I changed my select tool to "tweak" instead of "box select". This allows you to just click and drag vertices to move them without having to hit the "G" key first. Hope this helps!

    When trying this, I don't seem to have to "Round-Object-Profile" under the Bezel menu. Am I missing something, I can't seem to find it anywhere?

    • @GraceNoteForge
      @GraceNoteForge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the bevel geometry options are relatively new so if you're running an older version of Blender, that might be why you aren't seeing it.

    What do I click to get tweak

    • @GraceNoteForge
      @GraceNoteForge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In Edit mode, if you click and hold the select tool ("Select Box" is the default) a dropdown will appear. Tweak is the first on the list.
