This was my first Ramadan as a Muslim. It was definitely wonderful. I made it 29 of the 30 days. (One of the days I got very sick and needed to drink water / take medicine). I hope you enjoyed your experience!
Respect! I'm a revert and this was my 31st Ramadan. That's 31 months of fasting, or more than 2.5 years! It adds up. May God bless you and great effort!

Congratulations Jannie Sis for experiencing 7 days fasting. Well done Janine, hopefully this fasting experience will inspire you that there are less fortunates out there who can't drink or eat like we do, thank you!
You said "hopefully this fasting experience will inspire you that there are less fortunates out there who can't drink or eat like we do" ???? Ok, we all know all year round that there are less fortunate people in this world and we all know the harshness of hunger. My question how can it help these poor people when we fast for 30 days? these people just need help, that's all. To fast is to preserve our physical and mental health, that's all.

Lots of non Muslims say how we survive during whole Ramadan, and they say that they can’t do it a day with fasting! I really admired your courage and experimenting the fasting for yourself and observing how are the feelings. All the hats off for you and experiencing your thoughts within respect to all Muslims. Thanks Janine and you can do this in Turkey 🇹🇷 some day 😊
Fasting teaches us patience, and we can feel the people out there who find it difficult to get food, and makes us more grateful for what God has given us in life.
Wow,I'm from Iran and I'm muslim and I fasting every single year In ramadan, But it was so amazing to see non-Muslims fasting and sharing their feelings about it. Congratulations 😍
Proud of you Janine. I think you did amazingly well. I used to work in a mechanic workshop full time. I was ok for most of the fasting day. I'm convinced it was my faith that gave me the extra strength to pull through. I think the sweating was just your body getting rid of the toxins accumulated. I had the sweats once in the morning at work. As for the dreams perhaps it was you tapping more in to your spiritual side. I find myself more grateful and getting more connected to my Creator.
I’m really proud of you for taking part in Ramadan. It takes a lot of discipline to not eat or drink liquids during the day but it’s so beneficial for your body. You have no idea how much it helps you. It actually promotes life longevity.
Really respect and congratulation for Janine that you have already finished fasting for seven days .. that's so good..and when you late .. Will eat sahur but started adzan / call for prayer ..its ok immediately continue eat ..for Muslim before we started to pray .. terimakasih Janine..your incredible

It’s always difficult at the beginning this is why we used to do intermittent fasting when we were kids and started fasting the whole month when we became adults.. but you were awesome, great work 👏👏greetings from Yemen 🇾🇪 hoping to see you visit Socotra Island soon..
❤❤❤ This is my 3rd month i fast in a row this year. I started fasting 2.5 months ago. 13 days left 😺 i wanted to push my limits. I was really challenging but than i get used to it. Now i believe that i must do it every year. Because this is life changing.
Ramadan is a month of self reflection and to spread happiness. This month makes us realize that just how much lucky we are to have food on the table throughout the year and how hungry and thirsty people feel who can't afford to buy a bread unlike we do. Really loved this video. Keep spreading positivity and love. Much respects from Pakistan Janine
Apa yang kita pikirkan itulah yang akan terjadi.jadi cukup pikirkan yang positif saja dan jangan pikirkan lapar, panas, capek dll..maka segalanya akan jadi mudah saat puasa.❤

What you have done is beautiful. Fasting is a great blessing, as it also has benefits for the body. The month of Ramadan in Egypt🇪🇬 has a wonderful atmosphere. I wish you to go to Egypt next year. You will enjoy all your time there. I wish you more success and happiness💜💙
@@janinefreuling I have been in Egypt 7 times. And the Egyptian people are really friendly and have humor. AS for how we Muslims do it while having a fulltime job is pretty easy, We take Ramadan as an order and obligation from the Creator which He will reward us abundantly in the Hereafter while also get enormous benefits in this life as well. And One thing I wanted to emphasis is That Our Prophet recommended us to begin Dates at iftar first then water(i.e if you have Dates else just plain water) and I see that a lot of not only None-Muslims trying Ramadan but also a lot of Muslims begin with the water. And finally Congrats on finishing it, you nailed it and thanks for your words of appreciation & respect.

@@ahmedkamel7065 I am a Muslim and I’ve also studied theology including the Bible. In fact, Jesus in the Bible was a Muslim because he preached and worshiped only ONE God exactly the same way Muslims preach and worship ONE God (pure monotheism). Here's proof from both the Holy Quran and the Bible…. 1) Holy Quran 5:72 72 "They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers." Holy Quran 19:36 36 [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path." Now let’s take a look what Jesus has said in the Bible and commanded his followers to do so... Mark 12:29 29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord OUR God, the Lord is ONE." John 17:3 3 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have SENT." John 14:24 24 “Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who SENT me.” John 5:30 30 “By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who SENT me.” Matthew 15:24 24 He answered, “I was SENT only to the lost sheep of Israel.” Matthew 26:39 39 "Going a little farther, he fell with his FACE to the GROUND and prayed." Noticed how Jesus (peace be upon him) always gives credit to God Almighty and he worships his Creator just like Muslims do by placing his head on the ground. 2) Jesus also called his lord as Allah just like Muslims do today. Here's the Aramaic proof... Jesus spoke Aramaic NOT Hebrew which most people think. The word for God in Aramaic is Alah or Allah which is a slight accent/dialect within the Semitic language. Even the Christian scholars who were behind the film Passion of Christ do acknowledge and confirm that Jesus has always called his Lord as Allah... th-cam.com/video/gRr48TIpzro/w-d-xo.html 3) Jesus also greeted people exactly like the Muslims do by, saying Assalaamu Alaykum in Aramaic. Here's the Biblical proof... John 20:21 21 "Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” Luke 24:36 36 "While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." 4) And finally, Jesus himself and those who met and knew him had called him, a Great Prophet exactly the way Muslims refer to him. Here's more Biblical proof... Matthew 21:10-11 10 "When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?' 11 "The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the PROPHET from Nazareth in Galilee.” (Jesus) Luke 13:33 33 "Nevertheless I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a PROPHET perish out of Jerusalem.” Luke 24:19 19 “What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a PROPHET, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. Matthew 13:57 57 “And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, “A PROPHET is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.” Matthew 5:17 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the PROPHETS; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” Acts 2:22 22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a MAN accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.” Even those who witness his miracles at first hand called him a Great Prophet! Luke 7:15-16 15 "The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother." 16 "They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great PROPHET has appeared among us,” they said.” John 4:19-21 19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a PROPHET. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.’ 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.” So who should we believe? Those who knew, met, and witness his miracles or those who NEVER met him nor ate/drank with him telling us he’s “god” or “son of god”? Seriously, those people need to study the Bible carefully and thoroughly about what Jesus himself said because their eternal salvation depends on it. Jesus prayed to and worshiped Allah only yet they refused and want to pray and worship Allah’s creation (Jesus) instead of the Creator who is Allah. If they continue to reject the true teachings of Prophet Jesus, then Jesus himself has already warned them on what he will do/say to those who claimed to worship him on the Day of Judgment when he and everyone else are in front of Allah Almighty. Matthew 7:22-23 22 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Subhan’Allah! Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction. Even the word Hallelujah is the same as Alhamdullilah since both words are praising Allah in his actual name yet they don’t even realize it. May Allah guide them and continue to guide us. Jazakallah Khair and Assalaamu Alaykum (Peace Be With You).
2 years ago during covid-19 crisis in ramadan i was at a hospital seeing patients from morning till before iftar running many rooms and floors, checking results, giving medications etc during fasting, those days were most exhausted days in my life but i was enjoying them really :)
In the meditation you could listen to quran and understand if you would like to , it's a peaceful recitation 😌 And when we pray 5 times it makes us more connected to God which I can try👍 It is really nice that you tried I hope you the best way, we try fasting to have gratitude and feel the poor we also give (zakaat ) money to needy

May Allah Bless you Janine. Love how you showed appreciation and gratitude for the things we take for granted on a daily basis. Yes, if the Adhan starts when you have something to eat in your hand, you can finish eating it, as well as if you're drinking. That's the beautiful and incomparable mercy and love from Allah (SWT) ❤
There is countless benefits for fasting, either spiritual or phisical.. and one of the most beautiful benefit is understanding the blessing of having FOOD.. and how priceless it is to have Food and Water... and when you dont eat for a long period.. you actually taste and enjoy food.. that only one benefit from many more

MashaAllah sister. I am very happy you took the step to try Ramadan, even if you are not a moslim. Your soul becomes rich and your mind is awake, because we think about surviving ( becomes our first goal) so we are not busy with all other worries we use to have every day. And in the end of the day we feel this great feeling to join brothers and sisters for the meal. And then we start to feel how poeple in difficult situations are. It is a great human experience. I love Ramadan ❤.
Hal yang benar supaya anda tidak haus dan lapar saat puasa adalah dengan berpikir positif, jangan pernah berpikir melakukan dosa, jangan benci temanmu, jangan berkata buruk, jangan melakukan dosa. Saya sarankan anda selalu berbuat baik. InsyaAllah kamu tidak akan haus dan lapar.

I loved when you said Bismillah before eating. ❤ Moody happens when you fast without purpose, for Muslims our purpose is to please our Lord so we feel we don’t have valid reason to be moody.
Admirable and very respectable i hope you take your journey into shahadath InshAllah. Fasting isnt just a cleansing of the body but your nafs which is difficult. You just need to stay focused. Lots of people eat in the morning it might be difficult but dont force feed, eat a little and focus more. Do some reading on Islam, it will compliment your fast...u made us proud my sister.
The problem of headache and anger without food is faced by many Muslims, but we must bear this bad mood and steadfastness for a feeling of gratitude for the constant presence of food and the many blessings from God, and fasting Ramadan is considered a divine upbringing to feel the poor in the world and feel their suffering and pain without food and drink so that we do not overlook them and help them 🤝

Hey Janine, ik vind het erg mooi om te zien hoe je Ramadan hebt ervaren, en dat je met respect omgaat met de Islamitische gebruiken. Wees trots op jezelf, Masha'Allah. Liefs uit Nederland 😊.
There are normally 2 azans for Fajr (morning) prayer. The first is normally around 10 minutes early and is intended to give people time to get dressed and walk to the mosque. Also, for people who plan to fast that day, it is giving them a warning to eat & drink before Fajr begins, which is when fasting begins. So if you heard the first azan, you should be ok to eat/drink until the second azan, which is about 10 minutes later.
Ma'shaa'Allah ❤️ let you know that Ramadan month and every Monday & Thursday fasting is huge benefits for body reduce cancer and disease in body. For non-Muslim often use it called intermittent fasting. Some people successful their journey story from cancer to zero through diet, veg, intermittent fasting in many TH-cam and interview articles. Even scientists & doctors high recommend to take intermittent fast to stay body shape and healthy.

To know the time of iftar just write in google : maghrib prayer time in bali indonisia . And for Suhoor try to write this : fajr prayer time in bali indonisia . The next time add the date of the daz that you will be fasting in so the reaserches become with the earlier updates .

Bravo Janine. That took alit of guts to go through. May Allah grant you all the blessing of Ramadan. I’d like to answer 2 of your questions: 1- you were sweating because fasting actually helps you get rid of all of the acsess metals and toxics accumulated in your body. 2- Muslims can bare 30 days of fasting plus 6 more day starting from the second day of eid because God told us that every thing we do in terms of worship is for us, for our own good, except fasting, which we do only for God. So for us, thirst and hunger are easy price when we are giving God the gift of fasting.

I really admired your courage and experimenting the fasting for yourself and observing how are the feelings. All the hats off for you and experiencing your thoughts within respect to all Muslims. Thanks Janine and you can do this in Turkey 🇹🇷 some day 😊
Fasting teaches us patience, and we can feel the people out there who find it difficult to get food,
and makes us more grateful for what God has given us in life.
Wow,I'm from Iran and I'm muslim and I fasting every single year In ramadan, But it was so amazing to see non-Muslims fasting and sharing their feelings about it. Congratulations 😍
With the dedellorization movement and China's growth, how are things there? Is it not so bad now compared to prior years?
Proud of you Janine. I think you did amazingly well.
I used to work in a mechanic workshop full time. I was ok for most of the fasting day. I'm convinced it was my faith that gave me the extra strength to pull through.
I think the sweating was just your body getting rid of the toxins accumulated. I had the sweats once in the morning at work. As for the dreams perhaps it was you tapping more in to your spiritual side. I find myself more grateful and getting more connected to my Creator.
Thank you for your comment! I love to hear how others do it and have the faith. 🙏🏼😊
@@janinefreuling It's a pleasure :) May you be blessed with contentment, happiness and success ahead.

Ramadan Kareem and Eid mubarak to all muslims🌙⭐🤲❤💗
One of my two favorite Bali vlogger is back Happy Ramadan Janine. If you are use to eating 3 times a day its a big challenge but for sure you can do it. 👍👍❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭
It is very nice to see beautiful people like you respecting Islam and Muslims.. May God guide you and protect you. And good luck in your life.may god bless you
The intense dream happens to me as well. I think it does related to fasting because I rarely experience it outside Ramadhan. Btw hats off, fasting for 7 days for the first time.. really impressive😄👍

Slow down....
Yes exactly!
My wife brother from Poland too and she try to fast first time and she love that because she feel happy and good hamdolilah my Allah guide u inshallah to the truth
I would love to go to Egypt one day! 😊
@@janinefreuling I have been in Egypt 7 times. And the Egyptian people are really friendly and have humor. Some can be pushy if you are a western tourist (but many there also have a very tuff time with sometimes not even food on the table and desperate ) , but in general its nice and a lot of cool historical sites to visit. / Greetings from a revert Muslimah in Sweden.

You are welcome anytime dear
Masha’Allah! This was a GREAT video sis. May Allah continue to BLESS you as well as all of us in this life and hereafter.

1) Holy Quran 5:72
72 "They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers."
Holy Quran 19:36
36 [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path."
Now let’s take a look what Jesus has said in the Bible and commanded his followers to do so...
Mark 12:29
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord OUR God, the Lord is ONE."
John 17:3
3 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have SENT."
John 14:24
24 “Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who SENT me.”
John 5:30
30 “By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who SENT me.”
Matthew 15:24
24 He answered, “I was SENT only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
Matthew 26:39
39 "Going a little farther, he fell with his FACE to the GROUND and prayed."
Noticed how Jesus (peace be upon him) always gives credit to God Almighty and he worships his Creator just like Muslims do by placing his head on the ground.
Even the Christian scholars who were behind the film Passion of Christ do acknowledge and confirm that Jesus has always called his Lord as Allah...
th-cam.com/video/gRr48TIpzro/w-d-xo.html
3) Jesus also greeted people exactly like the Muslims do by, saying Assalaamu Alaykum in Aramaic. Here's the Biblical proof...
John 20:21
21 "Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
Luke 24:36
36 "While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
4) And finally, Jesus himself and those who met and knew him had called him, a Great Prophet exactly the way Muslims refer to him. Here's more Biblical proof...
Matthew 21:10-11
10 "When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?' 11 "The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the PROPHET from Nazareth in Galilee.”
(Jesus)
Luke 13:33
33 "Nevertheless I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a PROPHET perish out of Jerusalem.”
Luke 24:19
19 “What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a PROPHET, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.
Matthew 13:57
57 “And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, “A PROPHET is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.”
Matthew 5:17
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the PROPHETS; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
Acts 2:22
22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a MAN accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”
Even those who witness his miracles at first hand called him a Great Prophet!
Luke 7:15-16
15 "The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother." 16 "They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great PROPHET has appeared among us,” they said.”
John 4:19-21
19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a PROPHET. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.’ 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.”
So who should we believe?
Matthew 7:22-23
22 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”
Subhan’Allah!
In the meditation you could listen to quran and understand if you would like to , it's a peaceful recitation 😌
And when we pray 5 times it makes us more connected to God which I can try👍
It is really nice that you tried I hope you the best way, we try fasting to have gratitude and feel the poor we also give (zakaat ) money to needy
Fasting teaches you about self reflection, thanking God for food, health, life and it reminds of about poor ppl who doesn't have good food and shelter so, we're blessed with so much ❤

May Allah Bless you Janine. Love how you showed appreciation and gratitude for the things we take for granted on a daily basis. You have experienced one of the many reasons why we are called to fast in Ramadan.
Yes, if the Adhan starts when you have something to eat in your hand, you can finish eating it, as well as if you're drinking. That's the beautiful and incomparable mercy and love from Allah (SWT) ❤
Respect! Proud of you and your efforts for Ramadan! May God Bless you! 🎉
There is countless benefits for fasting, either spiritual or phisical.. and one of the most beautiful benefit is understanding the blessing of having FOOD.. and how priceless it is to have Food and Water... and when you dont eat for a long period.. you actually taste and enjoy food.. that only one benefit from many more
Janine, happy fasting, I hope this will be a lesson for you, don't be a burden on fasting, but make it a lesson for life. for example respecting fellow living creatures, sharing and caring. life is learning. Keep it up.😃

You were really respectful throughout the whole process and I really enjoyed your video. Congratulations, Janine, for fasting for 7 days! It's a great accomplishment and I really liked your conclusions in the end. It is really rewarding to do and it looks like you felt this as well - which is great! Congratulations for your hard efforts to do fasting during Ramadhan. 7 days for the first time to do fasting is great accomplishment.👍👍👍 Anyway for a muslims, we do fasting not only stopping eating and drinking, there are more important things, those are "belief and faith". These are like energy to help a muslim doing fasting easily.

I loved when you said Bismillah before eating. ❤
Moody happens when you fast without purpose, for Muslims our purpose is to please our Lord so we feel we don’t have valid reason to be moody.

The problem of headache and anger without food is faced by many Muslims, but we must bear this bad mood and steadfastness for a feeling of gratitude for the constant presence of food and the many blessings from God, and fasting Ramadan is considered a divine upbringing to feel the poor in the world and feel their suffering and pain without food and drink so that we do not overlook them and help them 🤝
Ok, take a moment to appreciate people like here for inspo:

Btw girl you should feel proud that you have achieved your goal of 7 days fast.

Bravo Janine. That took alit of guts to go through. May Allah grant you all the blessing of Ramadan. I’d like to answer 2 of your questions:
1- you were sweating because fasting actually helps you get rid of all of the acsess metals and toxics accumulated in your body.
2- Muslims can bare 30 days of fasting plus 6 more day starting from the second day of eid because God told us that every thing we do in terms of worship is for us, for our own good, except fasting, which we do only for God. So for us, thirst and hunger are easy price when we are giving God the gift of fasting.
