    Mr. Dance, I want to thank you for making this video. I watched it last night and adopted the philosophy to my trip today taking a customer fishing at a limestone quarry in Florida. I landed a SLOB today, my 2nd biggest bass to date, 9.6lb. I discussed the video with my customer and he also slowed it down. It made for an amzing day and I owe it to you. Folks, the method works. I plan to soon retrieve my baits in a swimming pool so I can see how best I can get it to swim looking natural. I'm 55 and still learning. Mr. Dance, I'd love to fish with you one day, you are welcome to come as my guest in some special places in central FL, I have access to, Appreciate you.

    Bill you are so right. I watch these folks retrieve at warp,speed almost jerking the bass out of the water. When did that become the norm for receiving nice fish. Great video and wisdom Bill!

    For those of us who started on the bank or in a kayak, the lesson of fishing slow and thorough is a deeply ingrained one. Now that I have a boat, I haven’t forgotten it!

    Bill, do you use monofilament line while jig fishing? If so, why? A lot of pros today say you should never use it.

    • @krdpoutdoors
      @krdpoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i use monofillament all the time , some pros such as Brian Latimer say use monofillament is a hell of a lot cheaper then braid and its so forgiving that monofillament wont give you backlashes or nightmare headaches to deal with. instead monofillament has tendency to wanna be forgiving and help your line float off the bottom.

    • @chancelr
      @chancelr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@krdpoutdoors I like the sensitivity of braid and fluoro but they feel so limiting when I am in tournaments as a coangler.

    • @krdpoutdoors
      @krdpoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chancelr monofillament is gonna be your best friend , because with monofillament line especially the zebco omniflex monofillament at walmart for $2 "now" but pick that up and you can feel when they bite because when they bite on monofillament you're gonna feel a thump or when they bite it so you can set the hook if you feel a thump then that means they are hooked and ready to fight guns blazing all i will use is 12 pound monofillament zebco omniflex , plus iwith monofillament it dont matter how much you backlash on your baitcasters or how many times your line breaks monnfillament is extremely forgiving and cooperates with you meaning that monofillament will work with you vs the unforgiving headache nightmare you would have to deal with if to say for exmaple using spider wire.

    • @smallfish6355
      @smallfish6355 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion 15lb flurocarbon can’t be beat for jig fishing. The line has a bit less stretch than mono which helps for hooksets and gives better sensitivity. I use a braid backing 50% of my spool an I tie fluro leader the rest that way if I nest I don’t have to throw as much line out

    • @krdpoutdoors
      @krdpoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว

      @@smallfish6355 if thats 100% your prefrence then by all means do what works best for you. What im saying is that from using monofilament for over 27 years and seeing from exsperience when my brother's used spider wire the unforging nature of braid that the spier wire alone made my brother's switch to monofillament , from my personal exsperience monofillament alone has saved me a hell ton , its extremely forgiving which because las october i got stuck or caught up so i was pulling hard as i could to the point that i thought either my Ugly Stick GX2 pole is gonna break or my spinning reel is gonna break something is gonna give well much to my suprise the monofillament due to its forgivng ness ended up breaking on me while my spinning reel broke beyond the point of no repair

    Fellas, it's a TV show. You know like yellow stone is. He's been making half hour of content every week for a hundred YEARS. Just think about that for a minute, if you can concentrate that long and close your mouth while you breath. If he wants to shoot a show on private lakes who cares. You can watch all the public lake fishing you want it's called tournament fishing. Talk about BORING. ITS A TV SHOW!

  • @jaybeee4003
    @jaybeee4003 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yea pretty easy on an trophy stocked private lake that nobody fishes! Notice how he never states where he’s fishing? Never a public lake! Hence every bass being huge!

    The local neighborhood lake that I fish everyday even if for only 15 min was a great spot here in southeast Virginia small but productive until this past weekend I showed up and noticed a couple dead bass floating the walked down the bank and noticed at the one end was full of dead and dying bass and some other species but mainly bass after reporting it to the epa the test showed salinity levels were 1.8 so they died from saltwater I assume from the Elizabeth River but idk and I don't know if anything is going to be done about it. My heart broke when I seen so many dead bass and dying I felt helpless I've saved multiple water birds from fishing line and tried to clean up trash all the time but I couldn't fix this I don't know what to do if anyone has any suggestions please let me know thanks
    don't take your favorite spot for granted because it can be gone overnight

    Bill , I just had a good idea ! Uh oh. Have Johnny start a QVC/ home shopping network to sell his goods. It would be a big hit , he could get rid of returns . Sell limited production items. Have celebrity's on the set . Lure designers, manufacturing big wigs and even bass fishing legends like yourself. I'm telling you it would work and work well. And I don't mean banjo minnow infomercial. I'm talking a full on sporting goods shopping channel. I'm sure his competition is looking into it. Dad always said , it's who gets there, firstist with the mostist is the one who wins the fight.
