Puran Poli is a popular Maharashtrian sweet flatbread made with flour, lentils, jaggery and cardamoms. Sometimes nutmeg & dried ginger is also added for a punch of flavors. It is a festive delicacy and is made during most festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi and Holi.
We know that very well.. Thats Varuns one of the fav dish . But the outlet was selling just anything😊
I feel you should come to Maharashtra and try authentic puran poli and other stuff I am sure you gonna love itt...
There is big difference between a purnapoli and a Paratha if you don't know don't speak bruh..... Purnapoli is maharashtrian people's emotion and playing with people's emotions doesn't give you a good content

that’s not authentic puranpoli and as long as you don’t eat the real authentic one don’t make any statement and please don’t even call it meetha parantha as you respect all other regions food i’ve always seen you disrespecting maharashtraian cuisine idk if it’s by chance every time or done with any intention you always look unwilling to try maharashtrian cuisine sorry to mention but as you empathise so much on your bengali cuisine and continuously praising about it maharashtrian cuisine is our emotion and we respect it way too much as much as you do for your bengali cuisine you’ve always disrespected Maharashtrian try the authentic one by coming to mumbai or anywhere like nagpur or anywhere try original one and then talk about it, just in half knowledge never judge our food ! sorry but you lost all the respect in my vision cus i also respect all the cuisines although i’m vegetarian every time u show authentic bengali fish or any non vegetarian authentic dishes i watch it without judging or anything we get it that you’re foodie and u like to eat new food so exactly just do that and don’t JUDGE

As a maharashtrian, I was here to comment about puranpoli but happy to see there are already many comments here. I know your taste preferences are different. I also prefer spicy food more. But authentic puranpoli is love with spicy amati.
I feel you should come to Maharashtra to taste some authentic puran poli.
If you don't know exact taste you can not describe the same.

Tandoori roti is always made with Wheat flour...
Puron poli is suppose to be mitha only, channa dal , gur and elachi powder is used in the making of puron poli

You should go to Rani Kamlapati station and try the food there .I don't Know if u will like the food but you should visit there because it is a amazing railway station you would be surprised to see .

Puranpoli is supposed to be sweet. I also don't like sweet but if u want to try puranpoli then u can take some tikha chutney with it to balance your tastebud. I'm from odisha still i am obsessed with maharastrian cuisine. Like Ukhdche modak, tamda rassa, zhunka bhakri and bhakri with pithla.. Aam ras and poori..
