Fun to see, for nearly 2 decades, people always looking for new cameras with more pixels and features and finally, we discovered the earliest digital cameras, with their 5-10MP were far better than the 30-50MP today's cameras, even the lenses were amazingly great.

Great video. My E520 was stolen years ago and found a E1 with Sigma 18-36 , as a replacement. Makes great Super A3 plus enlargements. 2 years ago, I wanted a few more pixels, and found a well cared, E30. With an assortment of lenses , I couldn't see getting into m43 stuff. Lenses,40-150, 9-18, 14-42, Sigma 18-125 (came with the E1), 25, 35 and 50. With the exception of the 40-150, all have ED glass. KB
This was my first camera and when I moved across country I just gave it away. So I just purchased another one. I took some of my favorite photos with it. I just had terrible glass on it. Good thing is 4/3 glass is super cheap.
It is/was highly criticized to avoid vintage lenses w/adapter for these bodies. However, if you use a third party magnifying eyepiece (view finder is tiny) and keep the crop factor in mind (try 28mm) you can get an even more vintage look paired with vintage glass... People gripe using full frame lenses on these, but they have their own look on these Kodak Full Frame compensated sensors that is jaw dropping.
@@shutterslaps4938 Also, your shutter problem MIGHT be a low voltage battery. Power cycling the camera to take a single picture each time means it functions, but it might not have enough voltage to seat the shutter. The older OEM batteries sometimes work, but they typically degrade and may not have the correct voltage nor amperage. The China batteries are hit or miss too. Although its performance in low light was not good by today's standards, the images I captured were breathtaking, the couple loved them, and it was an exciting experience for me, as this camera was my first DSLR.
