Great performance and stage presence. I love when musicians push the boundaries of how and what an instrument could and should sound like. Traditional Canadian/European music is so well suited for the ukulele

If you can listen to St Anne's Reel without tapping your foot, you are not from the Maritimes. Well done as always sir!

Just found this great musician this evening. His Billy Jean cover. It never occurred to me before but the uke and the mandolin have a very similar sound.

To learn to do that footwork as an adult is more than a challenge; it's close to impossible, IMO. Almost all musicians you see doing that comfortably started when they were five-years-old. Kudos! Another item: it was the great jazz-uke player Chalmers Doane, of Nova Scotia, who was the driving force behind the ukes-in-the-schools in Canada, as I understand it.

SBranigan, 'Ceilidh' is a Gaelic word of both Scots and Irish origin and the Ceilidhs of Canada is of the Scottish Ceilidhs in the homes of the Scottish descendants from the Highland Clearances, where the language and the music is well preserved.'Look for Natalie MacMaster fiddle tunes on here to enjoy Steve. Scots Wha Hae!

The way he played it is more of an Atlantic Canadian arrangement, which is a mix of Irish Trad, Cape Breton (Scottish) and Quebecois.
