I used to watch this show! I remember coming home from the 6th grade feigning to be sick in order to go home. I went to my aunt's house because nobody was home at my place and I curled up at my aunt's house and watched this. And according to Wikipedia, a second season was planned, but supposedly due to low ratings, it was never made. Sad if that's true. This series offered teens like me variety in cartoon shows that were more mature, sophisticated and cultured, which was rare.
Thanks for bringing back this awesome cartoon. I remembered going to my uncle's bedroom and started watching Mummies Alive, before going to school. Ah, good times. :)
Aw, i hope that you post more episodes of this, its one of my fav series as a kid and i really want to watch the eps that i know i missed out on or forgot. THX again.

I always liked this cartoon for three reasons - one, the hero was a african american, and you don't see a lot of that in cartoons, two, his mom was a single working mom who had it together but had to work very late to support her child - unlike other fantasy families that somehow have lots and lots of money, and three; it was set in San Francisco, my hometown... gotta love that!!

I had crappy tv as a kid (90's) no cable or satalitte, so I'm happy for the shows I got. When my roomates and I were discussing fave shows, I never heard of mummies alive. Well I regret not knowing then, but at least I have something awesome to watch now!
