And about the Zhang comment. You can see the no of likes on it.Trolling someone is very easy. Appreciating someone is hard. Try to be positive.

George - First, no I would not watch either Serena or Sharapova or Azerenka (not to mention Sabalenka) unless they lose, I might watch the reply or highlights. Second, I've beeen on trans Pacific flights to Japan and Singapore, etc, and Asians are very quiet people, I don't know any Asian tennis players that scream.

I agree. Wang and other Asian players are playing very well in this Asian swing but didn't do much in tourneys outside of Asia. Almost reminds me of Madison Keys and Sloane Stephens who seem to play their best in the US, but struggle other places with the exception of this years French Open.

An interesting player to watch. More variety in the tour. Strong (tennis) personality is her asset. Her performance here in Asia is very impressive. Pity for all Chinese final was cancelled (loss of Zhang). Anyway, a quality game in the final is expected. Good luck both!!

Second, I rarely sympathize for Muguruza but I'll definitely soak my towel with tears if I'm her because she needs this type of win badly. I'm not even her fans and like....pfftt......she's not my cup of tea but I can feel the frustration and disappointment from such lost that you know damn well if you win it, will be the most relieving feeling ever, even if she lost the final for example.

It's clear now why Wang is the #1 chinese female player on the tour at the moment. Her weapons are diverse, and she has great power on the strokes. Garbine didn't under perform in any way just a few bad mistakes added up. Her power has gone down in the slump she was in on both serve and strokes, so she's not playing the same winning tennis we know from her. Next year she needs to tighten up her technique.
