Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

I hope you have a great field day!
Hope you had a great field day. Learning pain's on the 360.
360 owes you 3 Acres of corn at 300 bushels and Sadly a big bummer!
Thanks for sharing so much Nathan, next season with the rain hopefully is smoother
Well when you think what that watering machine is doing it’s still pretty impressive. Can’t wait to see yield data this winter
As both an irrigation aficionado and a software engineer, the 360 rain is a really neat product. It’s also like some experience I had with computerized embroidery where it’s not all just numbers and code.
Knew, I would love reading the comments on this one. They haven't disappointed.
The life of a guinea pig isn't always fresh carrots and clean shavings , sometimes you gotta roll in the pellets! Luckily they are standing behind their product.
Have a great party there. Hope everyone enjoys their time at Border View Farms. :)
Hopefully the Rain gets fixed for your Field Day AND HOPEFULLY NO MORE ISSUES LIKE THAT AGAIN !! YOU WOULD THINK IF GPS WAS LOST IT WOULD SHUT DOWN OR NOTIFY YOU THERE IS A PROBLEM !!! HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE A GREAT TURNOUT FOR YOU FIELD DAY LOOKS LIKE ITS GOING TO BE HOT !!!
So i see a pip comming then lol
It may be too late now , but my mother in law's family made creamed corn from immature field corn. I laughed until I tasted it. If some of those ears are still viable, give it a try.
Nathan, have a great field day!
I think you should held onto your traveler. It was a lot less problems. This machine seems like it has far too many problems.
Every time there is an issue with the rain it’s filmed
Nathan didn’t film every time he had to move the traveler
Hope your field day goes well
Can’t wait to see whether this has actually worked re bushels compared to last time
Seems a lot of corn damage across the field
Good morning
There has to be some way you can blame Brock for this.
Lol
My question would be to 360 is what can we do in the future to prevent this happening again? Dealer support looks like it is great, could not ask for more.
RIP Rain
Well, I thought it would've been stray voltage from a nearby lightning strike from last week's storm. That can blow out boards. But it's been running since.
Good Morning
Good video good to see ya
nice setup ,i be good to go even if you just buy a bit of that seed...and look your plots
enjoyed the video
We are in a drought in southern Ohio have been for a few months now
Remember to cover your eyes
Great video
Google Slides on iPad doesn't have looping option. Need a laptop browser to be able to do so. I'm sure you've figured that out by now.
Cole the Cornstar said he cut his cornea last year when a blade of corn hit it
Isn’t pork belly just bacon lol? Have a good day Nathan
Uncured bacon yes
nice ukaine color
That’s the bad thing about new technology, got to get the kinks worked out
Are they going to update to loss of gps stops the machine?
Just curious about why the drop breaking problem hasn't been solved yet. Couldn't the steer tire just have a screen over the top of it to prevent the drops from getting stuck? I would think some heavy gauge screen like 1/2" x 1/2" (we always called it turkey wire) or even bigger would work. Maybe??? 🤷🤷🤷
Great video 👍 my question is if other people had this problem, why didn't they fix the problem for you by now? did the other customers have to leave it sit till they repaired the problem? hope the event goes great 😊
They are fixing the broken ones with parts already on hand, but the engineering team is working on an upgrade to solve the problem.
How many 360 rains have they sold? How much corn approximately got wiped out?
The table cloths colors, I don't recognize them. Their not Pioneer 😂
The concept is good. But you can water every acre with drip tape too. That’s the great thing is you can choose options.
I wouldnt want nothing to do with that thing. Nobody wants anything driving around a corn that tall. That is as bad as when cattle get in the corn. When things go wrong. Corn will get smashed. That thing would be going down the road.
What does your dad think
Early adopter pain is expected, but I'm sorry this happened to you anyway. :(
German OSHA recommends parking the forklifts in a way that the fork goes under a pallet so people can't stumble over it.
Maybe you would invite a bum or two you might have a decent turn out. Not like the old days, but what is.
I hope it is not in your yield contest.
I’m sorry to say , as I’ve said before those machine are not fit for purpose fairly poor design and engineering . Your old setup was far more foolproof . I feel for you , and I’m sure they’ll compensate you .😡😤
Massively not good.
Have the dealer take that crappy thing out of the farm. The old system worked better.
Disagree he has had issues with the droppers but they have upgraded the joiners now and a sensor can fail on a tractor or planter or combine but you wouldn't sell those. 360 is a new product and will have teething problems but it's far better and easier than the hard hose traveller.
No it wasn't
Nice!! Told you that thing was junk!! Waste of time and money!! Embarrassing!!
Good morning
