      @laughatanything sammi I agree that black women DO like to speak on lighter skin or darker skin woman in a negative way but one question will you acknowledge that black men whether light or dark skin do the same to black women?

      @@geekedmaxx This isn’t true at all. Being light skin is the beauty standard. If you’re light, you’re automatically “beautiful”. I’m not dark nor light, but throughout school I was always questioned and called ugly because I wasn’t lightskin nor mixed. Everyone fetishes them. No one hates on light skins. It’s always them who has something to say because you’re darker.

      The only thing I don't care for is when she generalized black men as if no black men wanted her.
      And The Asian man was some sort of Savior (Without explaining her attraction to him outside of him gifting her and paying for things). When a lot of the time men of other races fetishize just as much as the women fetishize black men.

      @diamondcheeks6301 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Um Gen z is not better and I was born in 2001 and why do you love the generation just because the girls in this video are smart doesn’t mean the whole gen z is good cuz if anything it is the worst generation and most fake and most problematic and racist and cold hearted not the only generation that’s bad but it’s definitely the worst so therefore it’s definitely not better as someone who is a 2000s baby I don’t wanna be apart of this generation it’s embarrassing

    • @diamondcheeks6301
      @diamondcheeks6301 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Also the gen z is the most uneducated and insensitive too and it needs to change but like I said before no it’s not the only generation but it’s the most trying to normalize it and that’s not okay and it all needs to stop and everyone of gen z and millennials and zoomers and gen x and honestly all generations just need to all stop And Do better to make the world a better place everyone on this tucking planet need to change for the better and stop being so toxic and stop being toxic at all and help and love and support one another and be real and pure and not some fake dumb shit at the end of the day we all humans and race shouldn’t keep that in the way we all bleed the same and should be treated the same regardless of color race gender and sexuality

    Thank you for this discussion!
    Colorism is very real!
    Everyone knows racism and colorism has a social, historical, structural component…but an essential part is neurological and unconscious.
    Here’s a possibility no one wants to discuss, apparently: a link between colorism and the universal fear of dark places, predators, and fear of the unknown…why not?
    When I emailed a couple dozen researchers…silence and evasions. Why?

    @jenellejones7539 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Honestly I hate the fact that colorism is such a big issue in the black community. I love the fact that there's so much diversity within our culture. I think the only reason black men "don't like" dark-skinned women, is because there are intimated by them. Being dark-skinned equals as being more intimidating in society. So if a woman is dark-skinned, men see her as masculine. Also movies play a big part in this issue. A dark-skinned woman is always portrayed as "angry" or "aggressive", how many times have you seen a dark-skinned woman as caring in movies/shows?

    Yah anyone can be jackasses and we should work towards replacing the negative racial/colorist/sexist/whatever significant -ist stereotypes with better ones cus we can't force everyone to think a certain way but we can be better to make them see the stereotypes as what they truly are -- simply falsehoods.

      Are you dumb? This video is not the reason why colorisim exist. The reason why colorisim exists is because many people discriminate against dark skins for being dark. Nobody said that the light skins in this video aren't bomb, like stfu. We are just saying that they usually get lead black roles when the character should be played by a dark skin, because dark skins aren't properly represented, and books describe the main character as being DARK SKIN. And what facial stereotypes? Just because the dark skin girls in the video had "facial stereotypes" doesn't mean that all dark skins do 🙄 and many dark skins having "facial stereotypes" doesn't make it ok for you and everyone else to be colorist. Educate your bum ass, it's people like you that worsen the world 😐
