Lived right outside of Missoula for many years, maybe Missoula is welcoming newcomers but down the road not so much. You did not mention the terrible hard cold snow filled winters. Over the years I have seen lots of people move here but they move out after a couple years. Wages are low, winters are cold and it is expensive. Just thought I would share some of local feelings not all of us feel that way but oh Jeff now so so many do.

Alberta is kind of its own thing. Kind of the Wyoming of Canada, even if your experience is coming from Montana. I'm sure you don't need another American to tell you that life is different if you were living in BC or Ontario.
@@javyjavyjavyjavy I've heard that... But most Canadians in general do not like Americans. I don't think most Americans do not like Canadians. Although, I now know how the Mexicans feel. I hear the East coast people are a little bit different in Canada but I met one lady and I thought she was really sweet. I hear Quebec is French and most French people do not even like the other Canadians and in fact I hear at least the buzzword is that they don't like anybody coming into Quebec that's not a French Canadian. Well my parents sold their home in Duvall Washington to a Quebec couple that was having a baby and they were actually offered a lot more money from a single guy who really wanted it but my parents took under their asking price for a family to come into the neighborhood so they said yes to the Quebec family. I don't know they were really nice to us. but I've heard a lot of different people even different people I've met strangers going back to the states that have traveled through or vacation through Canada and I haven't met anybody that was happy with BC either and it's interesting cuz I've never had a issue with anyone from BC I think that they're really friendly. I now know that Canada and Australia are close knit together and that most Australians don't like us either. Nice!
So, most will be nice to your face but watch their eyes... Tells alot!!
I've got alot of stories and when I've shared with my family and friends back in the US... Their mouths drop open.
I've never cried so hard in my life and I wished it was different but it's not.
So, I'm looking to relocate....
USA .... I'm in love with you my home land.
❤️🇺🇸
Alberta is kind of its own thing. Kind of the Wyoming of Canada, even if your experience is coming from Montana. I'm sure you don't need another American to tell you that life is different if you were living in BC or Ontario.
@@javyjavyjavyjavy I've heard that... But most Canadians in general do not like Americans. I don't think most Americans do not like Canadians.
Although, I now know how the Mexicans feel.
Honestly, here, I think most the atmosphere is due to the different cultures coming in.
But I guess even people from BC can't stand the US people.
Would you happen to be a dual citizen by any chance?
Stay there, we don't want you back
nice surfin :)
OMG I have a friend who moved to Missoula from Milwaukee, Wi🚶
Damn, you missed the best thing in Missoula, that being the mecca of FCS football, Washington-Grizzly stadium!
I bet its people from Los Angeles bringing the rude 'tude.
people from bay area, portland, seattle are way worse. fun fact: texans are ruining montana the most, but everyone scapegoats on californians because it's trendy. sheep
My hometown
Of course they’re coming from California! Don’t move here, just visit!!
The statue of the kayaker is actually Brendan representing Brendan who died here.
Better known as Little Portland
Scary thought.
Why do you say this? We're moving out of Oregon for obvious reasons and Missoula is high on our list. I don't want to be anywhere that resembles Portland in any way.
@@andrewnelson3683 Dont move to Missoula, Bozeman, or Billings then. All of southern Montana is flooded with California and Portland hipsters taking over.
Great video...What's your favorite town in the US?

You’re looking cool sporting that grey hair. Do folks in Montana like folks from AZ?
We don't mind people from AZ at all ;)
@@MrBodoFraggins But folks from So, Cal?
@@royking7298 they might receive a less warm welcome from some, but overall, Missoula is very friendly.
What about people from Seattle?
@@dude4173 Sure. All good.
I’m from Portland. I would love to meet friendly people. I’ve always hated people here but it’s only gotten worse since so many ppl have come here
Rent sucks, food is blah, winter is dark, cold, and long. I hear Spokane has better rivers and better weather.
Leland told me to go back to Missoula, Montanta
Snobs come from New York and California
Thomas's last name was pronouced Mar as in the planet without the S. There is also a county named after him. As any local if I am right.
Come to Billings to do a video!
Lol I like how this video only showed the “good” parts about Missoula… what about the bums and the tents ! 😅
