@@Zippism If you think about it, Blizzard can make yet another Gul'dan using time traveling if they feel like it, but why stop there, they can make 20 more Gul'dans
To be fair this Gul'dan was beaten by the legendary heroes who killed the likes of Deathwing...and defeated Illidan among countless other powerful beings. So he was propably to weak to really counter it. Still funny af storytelling. Lmao.
Short reminder: this is alternative Gildan, who did nothing wrong. I mean killing few orcs in WoD(we did much worse), summon some demons and kill one stupid warrior who charge every big robot he see.
It was the most satisfying thing seeing Gul'Dan obliterated like that, I love Varian, flawed as he might have been (not the super perfect savior of Thrall) and teared up at his death, but was also proud with how he went out... ... even though it was a tad short for a fury warrior in full rage mode... one of the greatest fury warriors nonetheless... I also knew (from reading books, and in-game lore) that Anduin was ready to lead, and that with him at the helm piece could have been achieved with relative ease since he already knows Baine, and has a good reputation with the other leaders, even Sylvanas before she went all broken dark mode.
To correct some misinformation Gul'dan we see here is not an original Gul'dan, he was of a different timeline. From which even second Durotan was mentioned. The one who daughter is now a leader of the Mag'har orcs. Original Gul'dan died during tides of darkness, while original Durotan was killed either between Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 or either at the start of second Warcraft or at the end of the first one. So in the end there were two Gul'dans, two Durotans and even two Drakas. Also thank Garrosh without whom the Gul'dan from cinematic would not have been created since Garrosh was responsible for creating alternative Dreanor when he went back in time to save his dad from Demons and Fel.
Considering that Illidan's transformation was the result of absorbing the skull of Gul'Dan... I think it's quite safe to assume this wasn't the original Gul'Dan xD.
I haven't read any books. But in WC3 Frozen Throne campaign, we see some of Gul'dan's mamory flashbacks inside Sargeras's Temple playing as Maeve. The story says that Gul'dan went there with his clan, to find Sargeras's dead body wich was supposedly buried beneath the temple, so he can absorb his power. But the temple was guarded by demons... They were ambushed and his whole clan was massacred, while he barely escaped the ambush badly wounded. But later in another flashback, it shows that he wasn't gonna make it after all, as he was gravely wounded. So he spent his last moments there, saying not like this, i can't die like this, damn you Sargeras! And that's propably how he died. Unless if there's more to the story that i don't know about.
Well you know originally there was one good storyline, before they made an mmorpg to grab cash and had to make things up as they go to keep milking expansions and subscription.
Legion was such a great expansion, it was a lot of fanfare for sure but I felt it was done exceptionally well, and despite what the artifact power system became it was a great system empowering our weapons of legend to help us defeat the Legion at... well not quite full power but the closest to full power as we had ever experienced on Azeroth... I do admit it would have been neat to have the legion invasions of Azeroth throughout the Legion xpac mostly for leveling players to be honest, but it would have given levelling players the chance to defend Azeroth from the Legion further immersing the entire world of Azeroth into the expansion... and while I understand it would have been too much for the devs to implement it would have actually been neat to have the legion attacking settlements and setting up outposts and expanding to nearby provinces when the invasions were not taken care of, and when these entrenched area's were defeated even high level gear was rewarded for players at max level to help encourage them to defend Azeroth itself and not just the Broken Isles or our assault on Argus... If Blizzard hadn't been focusing so much on their other projects we could have been having some really amazing content in this game.
