If you have a blank “slot” where your hazard light switch is, why not get a factory switch and wire it to the 5v power line of the USB cable to turn you box on/off without needing to plug/unplug? This is what I did with my construction beacon lightbar. Looks mint.
only thing I'd add that had me scratching my head for a bit, when you put the shift knob back on - push the lock clip back in place, and it snaps on... I was trying to snap it in, after the knob was on and that doesn't work easily .... Great video on tear-down that let me replace my damaged cupholder in my 1794.
A replied below to @FaitfulSteve but wanted to also offer this to the greater audience - I bet someone makes the harness adapter that you can insert between the main harness and the dash socket to split out the USB connection for the Tbox Plus, Binize, or other devices. If not, If someone has time to find the parts, I am willing to design and fabricate one and send it back to you for testing.
Do you HAVE to use that port because it's integrated into the head unit? Or could you use, say the back seat port? Another question comes to mind, what do you use as maps/navigation with this plugged in? Great set of vids btw.
Any chance you would consider a video on connecting and reversing with both a 4 and 7 pin trailer? Talk about ATD, TLD, BSM, PKSB functions and disabling. Etc
I have a question bud I own a 2023 Tundra platinum. Would I be able to change the cup holder area from a TRD pro to my Platinum so that my drinks sit side to side like your truck and not front to back. My drinks seem to spill all the time
Great video. Thank you. I do have a question for you. Do you think the cord and USB are long enough to make the port available in the glovebox? Like the square port in the glove box and then simply get a replacement part and cover for the head unit/climate control location? TIA.

That’s the only thing I can’t figure out, it wouldn’t work with my Binize or this one…it would connect automatically to the truck wifi when I was using that but I can’t get it to auto connect to phone hot spot…if I come up with anything I’ll let ya know!
can you switch the center console port from the dash? or cables not long enough? also, can we put a splitter to keep that dash usb alive?@@NitroZ18Fishing
Omg I very much dislike cords showing but the amount of clips possibly breaking or misaligning plugs and ports or scratching paneling is not worth this.
That kid rolling down the driveway at 0:27 HAHAHA
lol i noticed that too, for a moment I thought he's gonna crash into the truck 🤣
I like your videos i have one of those box but that is too much pulling up my truck just for that box thanks

you are my tundra 2022+ modified guy thank you for all your videos.
Could you use a USB splitter to maintain the functionality of the dash port while also hiding the cables?

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! It is appreciated!!!! 🎉
You're the man! Thanks- your channel ROCKS!

You could get a job at Toyota Engineering easily. Impressive!
Thanks man!...love this stuff!
Can you please tell us where to get the center console camo pattern cover at the shifter? Keep up the great work. Thank you for all you do.
How do I hide the icons .. so I can have a Langer screen
Could you use a USB hub so that you still have a functioning USB on the dash?

Where did you get the steering wheel black overlay?
I’m struggling to keep up with all the mods! BUT my Mictuning panel came in today.
Where did you get the camo for the center console
Do you have increased power isuuess" since installing thr
Where you get that camo for the console?
Is there a way to put a splitter to it so you can use both the dash usb and the extra? Do they even make a part like that?
My question too
That's what I was wondering 🤔
Any response for this? There must be a splitter that can used.

I was going to ask the same question, there has to be a type of splitter
So when I get my 2023 need you to help me out lol
Is there not a USB port on the back of the head unit?
Do you need a SIM card to use the box and what kind & where can I buy one?
Would it be possible to just remove the Volume/Climate/USB module without removing the dash trim and the screen?
Would be cool if you could either replace the blank port with something else more useful now that it doesn't work.
Also.. this video is awesome. No stupid fluff, and well done.
Thank you, I appreciate it!…and I totally agree, wish there was a way to keep that port “available”!
Great video! Thx
Thank you!
Does the Binize box use the cell signal from your phone?
You would need the hotspot from your phone or wifi through the vehicle
How do you get it to connect to your phone hot spot everytime the car turns on?
That’s the only thing I can’t figure out, it wouldn’t work with my Binize or this one…it would connect automatically to the truck wifi when I was using that but I can’t get it to auto connect to phone hot spot…if I come up with anything I’ll let ya know!
Where did you get your vault?
The safe in the middle console?…that came in truck so it’s from Toyota…hope that helps!
Where did you get the black overlay for the steering wheel logo??
Got that off Etsy, but they sell em on eBay and Amazon as well!
@@NitroZ18Fishing thanks!
No prob!
Waiting for new android box.
Posted the video a couple days ago, check it out and let me know what you think!
Why not plug into the usb that’s in the center console?
That plug is for charging only, unfortunately it doesn’t share data to head unit so it won’t work

Cable isn't long enough, going to check some type of Splitter tonight
Don't keep us waiting! Lol
Hell nawh! Cant imagine the crap that vibrates after this.
Not a thing...thanks for watching!
