LOL on the US Postal Inspector jokes. NO LIE though, when I was in law school in NYC in the early Nineties, the criminal procedure teacher who had worked as a federal prosecutor said the best investigators around weren't FBI, they were US Postal Inspection Service agents. You go get that thing done, Agent Maybelline.
This whole show is amazing, but what is really standing out to me is Joe’s roleplaying as the Handler. I knew he was good, but he adds so much to every scene with the agents!
I immediately recognized the reference to Purson, a demon of the Ars Goetia. Here's the description: "He knows of hidden things, can find treasures, and tells past, present and future. Taking a human or aerial body he answers truly of all secret and divine things of Earth and the creation of the world. He also brings good familiars. Purson is depicted as a man with the face of a lion, carrying a ferocious viper in his hand, and riding a bear. Before him, there can be heard many trumpets sounding. This demon blows internal trumpets, and is believed connected to the revelator to the Antichrist." Really cool how this was brought into the narrative and makes me wish the agents had pursued the guy with the snake, but kind of relieved for their sake that they didn't!
That’s a normal line for men with less than impressive jobs to say (i know, I used it a lot back in the day) so what’s the joke? I just took it to mean as I outlined
Thought Syd killed this. She’s fine in other stuff but i thought her character and RP was amazing in this one. Love the accent, love the way she handles Roger, love the harried professional trying to do her job surrounded by idiots. 10/10!
I am incredibly surprised by how well 2 hour episodes work. I myself am a longer form storyteller, my games usually take 6-8 hours, even ones with just one-two players, but your style seems to work so well for the game's genre! Looking forward to more episodes (I just found you guys randomly browsing twitch), hope I'll learn something about shorter form and pacing along with enjoying the superb cast and handler!
I know this is really old, but hopefully they realize Polaroids don't need to be developed. They're instant cameras. The photo zips out of the bottom of the camera. Unsure if law enforcement also took better photos (maybe with a 35mm?) that would need to be developed later. But they definitely used poloroids!
Polaroids develop automatically, the camera spits out a photo of a specific size right after taking a pic. If you have to develop the film, you are not using a Polaroid camera. Also, earlier I noticed yall passing out pics like candy, you'd have to take a bunch of pics of the same thing for that, whereas if you had to develop it you could get copies and different sizes.
Jesus christ I'm only now watching this and I don't think I've ever cracked up as much as Troy constantly asking "What's his name." I guess we found out why Roger Cumstone's marriage ended.
I remember a thing that Seth Skorkowsky said about GCN and that is how good their GMs are at that final cliffhanger in each episode and that it comes from nowhere. That is an amazing skill and a thing I am thinking about practicing cause it seems like a very good skill. Also when I usually run longer sessions but I can see the pros of running shorter sessions, something to think about.
When I was in production, I was always annoyed when we had to work with a black magic... Those things had more trouble working than every other piece of gear I ever used combined.
Chessboard with only Kings. Stalemate. Symbolic in this, and in every operation is that there is no winning, ever. The struggle is eternal. No resolution and only survival. Except! for Joe O´Brien who nails it every time. I´ll have whatever he´s having for those turbocharges. I´m practically trying to extend his techniques to my group and playing. And can´t help hearing Steven Seagals film characters in Troys Roger Cumstone...😄. Can´t stop watching this (Is there a 12-step program...?).
I'm really interested to see how the handle this as a campaign, Like it's more than one night at the opera so is this going to be a long running game? It's no where near as long as something like giant slayer but it's not at all short.
Impossible Landscapes is a monster of a campaign. Depending on how long they take to get to each major point, it's going to be years. The full campaign goes over multiple decades and locations. They've committed to doing the full thing, so we'll have to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Courtney and Rob that is some good news, love this AND Masks. They're really branching out. Well probably get more of a concrete idea of their Pathfinder plan when they get current with Strange Aeons. They're really going all in. Long running campaigns like Masks and Landscapes will keep us invested for a while, I imagine a lot of us will eventually have to pick one to focus on - not a bad thing, they're becoming a true network - love what Jared is doing too
The game would invariably result in a draw after 75 turns, assuming FIDE's 75-move rule is in affect; "75-move rule: 9.6. 2 The game is drawn if the last 75 moves have been completed by each player without the movement of any pawn and without any capture."
I feel like hes GM only? He plays in 2 eps of Strange Aeons but I agree, dudes a standup comedian let him play and improv. Let Ross GM for a change lmao
Wow 5:20 you guys are aware your network totally looks like a front too right? So many paid players , guests, staff and such high quality..then 40 k views. Wtf? Whats weird is if you got a million views id be like "yep, that makes sense" but you arnt as popular as you deserve to be but also somehow are?....so i guess...how do you guys stay solvent?? Lol
Now That’s What I Call Music! 53? This victim is obviously a time traveler if she can get a compilation album from 2015! Hell, the whole NTWICM set started in 1998. These are the details that make me lose immersion and ruin the entire series for me. /s
We’ve had NTWICM! here in the UK since the early 80s so the victim’s copy must *obviously* be a grey import. Next week’s ep will be a lengthy discussion about bangers by Bananarama and Frankie Goes to Hollywood
Saw your Reddit post. Many peeps mention that it’s possible with this AP. I mean didn’t they also find a WW2 grenade in the apt. Plus good story making is laying ground work for later reveals. Some rides aren’t for everyone, but give this an honest go.

Joe is a fantastic Handler! He makes the entire show work.
On my rewatch, Joe is one of the best GMs I have ever seen.
Sydney is such an amazing get for the network. Makes every show fucking rockin'
Shes incredible. Makes ridiculous characters that are both hilarious AND realistic. Agree 100% love everything she is on.
In Mork Borg's one shot they did she was awesome! 😂
I keep getting My Cousin Vinny flashbacks every time she speaks in character. Love it.
Roger's date with its extensive collection of Red Flags is just amazing. Whole episode is amazing. Loving it.

Whole of Ars Goetia shows up later in the game... excellent interpretation, too!
I want to send Troy a case of candy cigarettes.
They have 24 packs for under $10
LOL did no one get Troy's line about Cumstone's gas station gig being "not a permanent thing" ? I absolutely lost it
That’s a normal line for men with less than impressive jobs to say (i know, I used it a lot back in the day) so what’s the joke? I just took it to mean as I outlined
As a Nebraskan, you say "GBR" and my first thought is "Go Big Red" and I'm not even a football person

Fun fact: I recently learned that those string-and-paper conspiracy boards are called Sociograms...the one Joe made in Roll20 looks awesome ❤
This is my favorite cast for Delta Green so far. Just missing Mr Matthew.
Thanks Ako!

With an ending like that, I almost thought it was the season finale. So HYPED for the rest of the ride, this truck is comfy.
All the players and the handler doing such a good job.
Also, Now That’s What I Call Music wasn’t released in the US until 1998. I remember seeing the first few volumes advertised on TV as a kid.
Leão? That is the Portuguese word for Lion.
Oh jeez. I think I know that symbol and if it's what I think it is... Oh boy. What an interesting set up for the story and from Joe

My gods I feel old after watching this. Functional adults are treating my 20's like archaic historical moments
I already love this season and cast so much.
I Partied hard in 1995. First year going to more then 5 phish shows in a row. Just graduated and had a some $ saved so I hit the road. Crazy times.
Skid's fucking hair is brilliant in this ep. The hair and the black t-shirt makes him look like he's out of a rockabilly band from the 80's.
Jesus christ I'm only now watching this and I don't think I've ever cracked up as much as Troy constantly asking "What's his name." I guess we found out why Roger Cumstone's marriage ended.
Starts at 20:47
Amazing group. Sydney is awesome!
man, i had to clean out my parent's storage shed a few years back so this hoarder apartment scene is hitting me hard.

Watching this 9 months later, and we’re supposed to get severe thunderstorms with hail up to the size of ping pong balls. Delta Green at it again!
MY QUEEN 👸
When I was in production, I was always annoyed when we had to work with a black magic... Those things had more trouble working than every other piece of gear I ever used combined.
Love the roll29 conspiracy board. My whole thought with the kings are targets.
Pants? At the computer. . . what heresy is this! LOLOLO -- man I adore you guys!
24 mins.and already off the rails lmao

Mindhunter was a great show. Shame we won’t get s3.
I always knew that paging through the Ars Goetia when I was an edgy teen would come in handy... I recognise the sigil
I know I’m working through this campaign a bit lat but… did the HM just give Roger Cumstone access to a fucking grenade!?
Francis could have been well served by sacrificing a 12 pk to the void for better dice karma :)
He should of went with the point buy or whatever it was lol...

This is the Masks of Nylarthotep equivalent for Delta Green. So it's a long, creepy ride.

@@rob7953Which Troy is now running - Time for Chaos!
what a cliffhanger!
I need that Roll20 corkboard.
It is pretty great!
Awwwww yeah!
Wouldn't an all king game of chess take forever? You can't move a king into check, so you could never get within one square of an opposing king.

I always think.of Skid as a Dr. A Doctor of TTRPG.
I loved max headroom!
Jersey Storm!
Yesssssssss
Cmon Joe its Murnau not Mer-no.
When is Jared going to be a player?
I need more Jared in my life, in your stream.
pls no
