If PC2 happens, please redesign the in game time to fit an open and close park everyday operation. The feature I disliked the most on RCTs and PC was to run parks as a fair ground instead of an amusement park.
I also want to make paths as if I was working with vector anchor points in illustrator, in addition to their standard, hopefully improved pathing system. Much more textures and terrains please!!! Savable Color libraries for swatches!!! We could make of book of things they could add.
I want this feature so bad plus time is way too fast in planet coaster it should move at a snails pace so tons of guests can go inside ur park

I have to throw something in here. We need unloading stations in a planet coaster successor. That was one of the biggest shortcomings for me back then with PC and has not yet been mentioned in the requests. What would also be cool would be endless ride systems for dark rides, water rides and roller coasters.
If there is a Planet Zoo 2 been developed right while we speak, it would be torture to wait again for our favorite animals to appear in some future dlc :(

Honestly we need to look beyond our personal preferences here. Planet Zoo was a huge success - however, the amount of work to bring in significant upgrades now is too high compared to a potential income. Frontier needs money. The layed off 20% of their staff.
Our best bet is a new game to get anything beyond march dlc honestly.

I mean I already paid what I have for all these dlc and animals why would I wanna repurchase all over again, right? And then eventually I got to thinking of it and now I have a wishlist with over 30 ideas of things that I think would be cool additions and improvements. Especially when it comes to birds and more aquatic creatures. The diving and water mechanics we have now are alreayd buggy as is. Wouldn't you want a solid foundation that's intended to bring those animals and mechanics to it?

@@andrewpayne5093 sure, but they wouldn't be as good of quality as opposed to in a new game engine designed with their implementation in mind. For instance the few birds we do have in game are beautiful, but they can't fly..

I still can’t see one more dlc for PZ when the revenue spikes so high for it. Why kill your cash cow? I get that there will be more sales with PZ console, but a lot of PC players would still readily buy more dlc. You’re quite possibly right, but I just don’t want to admit it.
It’d be fun if the yet unnamed game is Planet Aquarium or Planet Resort.
It's definitely good on profit but it will be way more with console. They will skim the DLCs just like with planco. Plus with all the layoffs there's just not enough staff to maintain a full console launch, new dlcs and a planet coaster 2 launch
Im have not even finished my original zoo let alone my franchise and the graveyard of the game has been announced for a possible release of planet zoo 2? It’s insane. I’m not happy…
In fact it is the second time I feel betrayed by frontier first with JWE 1 which was more understandable since the IP is not theirs however with planet zoo it all is feeling rushed and incomplete which has broken my trust in them.
It would be really cool if they made it so that animals are available in PC2. I know this was incorporated in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, so it can be done. More importantly, I really hope they plan on making the next Planet game aquarium based.
Did they explicitly say it was the last DLC. If this is the June 23-June24 financial period for them, then surely we only have 1 DLC due - the spring one. The summer one is usually after June followed by Fall/Autumn and Winter DLCs in their key time frames. Especially with the addition of a new platform, it makes sense to keep up the DLCs, unless consoles can't add DLCs after release ? I don't use console so I don't know the limits if there are any in that regards.

You already have a almost perfect Building and Managing Simulator Game...What can a second Game give what just more Updates and DLCs cant give?
It would be the EXACT same Game just a bit better graphics, maybe some new Options in Building and other UI and maybe Aquarium/Aviary (What you can bring in a DLC)
But Overall the next Game have the same Animals, same animations, almost same Graphics and Gameplay, prob. the same Building and Tera forming etc.
Oh no. There is just so so so much more.
Core overwhole of the navigation of animals with the help of ai - less calculations, exponentially better results. Especially with climbing and diving. Overhaul of the time system that would lead to actual seasons and more management. And not to forget core mechanics like full aquatic and flying.
Let alone these changes would make it a full prices successor. Development just got ridiculous in the past year due to AI

Confirming a console edition for PLANET zoo pretty much confirms 2024 will be the last year of dlc support. I'm excited for Planet Coaster 2, I would really love to see a more polished version of the game plus additional content. I really hope they make some strides as far as versatility. I'd love to see water parks in Planet Coaster 2, they were such a fun addition in RCT3 Soaked.
We honestly need Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, and Planet Waterpark all in one game.

Honestly I hope the last Planet Zoo dlc is something special, the last couple DLCs have been really safe. I can’t help but feel like PZ has more potential. Also this is just me personally, I hope Planet Zoo 2 comes out later, I have sunk hundreds of dollars into Planet Zoo and don’t feel like investing in another game like that anytime soon.

Also, pro tip, most of the Planet Zoo DLC I purchased was from CDKeys. In fact, excluding base game, you can get all the PZ DLC for under $60 off their rn, under $70 if you still needed the Deluxe upgrade. I know Rudi has a brand thats similar who sponsors him but I found CDKeys prior to Rudi and found they had the best reputation and have heard nothing but great things about their customer support, not that I've needed to go to them for anything, but I feel that's even more testament to what a good company they run

I wish for PC2 they can have legit sit down restaurants (with wait & cooking staff) ... Just imagine building/customizing massive themed restaurant interiors (exteriors too) ... Probably won't have it in PC2 but you never know maybe , only things i can think of that they're missing or need is gift shops (we know 100% this will be in PC2) , legit sit down restaurants , hotels , & a upgrade more in depth management system ... (Water parks possibly , but i think that would be a more expensive DLC down the road or a game in itself)
Yes, restaurants are the default on real life theme parks, kiosks the alternative. Same for hotels. The dream would have a different timing system, making it more viable to a "open at morning - close at night" park operation simulation, with pay entrance being the default.
Shop oriented approach to gifts makes more sense, how many gift kiosks do you see in real world parks? And also add ride themed merchandising, even if the theming is just selecting it in the options. Having great rides rewarding you with merch sales would be an awesome feature, with the guests being more prone to buy those after riding it, incentivizing players to place shops at ride exits, like real parks do.
Also, the BIG MISS of PC1: On-Ride photos. Preferably with a system that rewards good camera positioning. For example, if you place it on the break run, you'll not sell many.
More flat ride customization would also be amazing. For example, Sky temple in PC1 hard to fit anywhere other than an Asian area. I'd rather have a more generic ride with customization options, than 2 or 3 similar ones with different looks that not always fit every themes you go for.

Honestly, if they do that I’ll be satisfied with the wait, as long as everything included in PZ1 carries over, and they don’t lock some of the stuff we already bought behind dlc again.

If there’s only one more Planet Zoo dlc that really hurts man. It still feels like we’re missing so much, and I love this game to death. I’m an animal guy, so I couldn’t care less about a potential Planet Coaster 2. The idea of Planet Zoo 2 is exciting, but I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of the things I want to build in the first game, and getting into a new game would feel like starting over. I dunno, my feelings are very mixed, but hey shout out to all the people who’ve been asking for PlanZo console for years, I really didn’t think it was gonna happen but here we are.

I figured it would come to console once they were done releasing dlc for it. I hope it's at least 1 more year of content (4 dlcs + anniversary) but either way if this is true, Planet Zoo 2 will probably not release for another 5-10 years.
We definitely are still missing a lot from the game! I agree! But I also think unfortunately the current games engine is too limiting to what potentials we could have. Like how much a lot of us want marine life and/or birds, the original engine just sadly doesn't seem like it was built with those in mind to be implemented, a new one could potentially do all that and more!
@@tjgamerwolf3336 As far as Plqnet Coaster 2 goes, I hope it releases with waterparks. Maybe modular restaurants, giftshops, and arcades similar to Planet Zoo facilities. It's sad to see Planet Zoo support coming to an end, but I'm looking forward to how the finish it off.

@@Jayson_Uzumaki So was PC, and they stopped development on that. They are shifting resources to PC2, and that means taking most of the people away from PZ. Happens all the time.
@@LancerX916 I think it will not be planet Coaster 2 unless they get Disney on board ( i forsee a water park with less dlc's that will last till next release and fast track to console ).. anyway, planet zoo is not planet coaster and planet zoo dlc's will still make money and they need it.. I think will just see animal packs till closer to fy25. It is what I would do if I was running the company.. then with a new pc cms and planet zoo dlc's on console, they can recoup the flow.. then by fy26 or fy27 they will be in a better place for planet coaster 2.. again, depends on Disney deal and desperation. If the deal is already done, we will get planet coaster 2 in fy25. And that is not including fy26 when I think new jurassic park game will come out.
It had to come to an end eventually, though I hope for 4 more plus the anniversary. But if they release one last big dlc similarly to the Ghostbusters dlc in Planet Coaster, thatd be fine.

Im also 99% sure its planet zoo console but there is 1 more game from Foundry that is PC only that is the Great War Westernfront. BUT im pretty sure that game flopped and theyre not really supporting foundry so doubt its that

plus they are still very much active on social media about PC and sharing peoples creations. It is their baby, they are just sitting on the account keeping everyone happy with what they have, then one day soon we might just see something. Also how awesome would it be to have a whole other mode of the game where you can switch to working your rides ect and actually walk round your parks and be able to interact with things. Imagine having a ride and then being able to map certain effects to your keyboard and delays and controlling the car speeds ect all live, then having a record feature that remembers what you did and the timings, whilst watching it on the monitors or cameras inside the rides. They would have to make the DLC from the first one be compatible though or people would be very angry. Also path tools and being able to say make this item lift in the air or move across the room when this point of the track is reached. I am very new to PC but from what I see the bulk of it isn't the game and owning a park, it is the ability to make your own rides and I think they will really build on that. Think of indoor lands and making your own mechanisms.
I just hope planco 2 will be more realistic as far as smoothness of coasters go and game runs well,
Now it's pretty hard if you load an full park it's just bad optimized and unacceptable to play with 30 fps.
PC2 was developed in a different era of CPU and GPU development. Planet zoo does so so so much better in comparison

I was right about when we will get a new cms on pc with delady and I'm sure I'm right about we will get a new type of cms game.. I dont think it will be planet Coaster 2 yet. I'm visualizing a water park game followed by a jurassic park then maybe planet coaster 2 if they get Disney.. however if they already have Disney will get that planet coaster 2.
As someone who doesn't care in the slightest for Planet Zoo I just cannot wait for Planet Coaster 2! Planet Coaster is a great game but there is a lot of things keeping it from being excellent! And if Planco 2 happens I am sure most if not nearly all problems and limitations Planco 1 had will be ironed out!

Ein Spiel wird ja mal nicht eben so entwickelt. Würde es PC2 sein, müsste es schon gut 2 Jahre in Planung sein. Ein Jahr ist für eine Entwicklung zu wenig, es sei denn sie starten Ende des Jahres mit der Early Access Phase.
Denn sie können ja nicht in die Zukunft schauen und vorhersagen wie das Geschäftsjahr 23 endet.
Sollten Sie also dieses Jahr pc2 veröffentlichen, so müsste das Spiel bereits lange in Entwicklung sein. Es sei denn, man hat das alte Spiel mal eben recycelt und paar Zusätze hinzugefügt.
Neue engine, bessere Grafik, neue Tools, Attraktionen, neues Management usw. MUSS das neue Spiel haben und das dauert.
Also entweder das Spiel ist bereits länger in Planung oder die Entwicklung startet erst. Aber deine Aussage (dass sie es dieses Jahr releasen auf Grund von schlechten Verkaufszahlen, somit - playing safe) passt nicht so recht.
Ich bin nach wie vor skeptisch, aber ich kann mich natürlich auch irren und nur hoffen dass ich falsch liege. Aber hoffe du verstehst meinen Punkt.

At this point the only thing we could ask for about the last PZ DLC are creatures that are truly unique and stand out compared to most others in the game to stand out, getting more walkthrough exhibit animals- even just more butterflies/moths, would be a HUGE plus. Or animals with fairly unique rigs and animation set. While this is very sad it will be the last we see of PZ for a long time (Aside from perhaps free updates for anniversaries), the bonus is it will make PZ modding significantly more stable for the future. Modding extended the game life of much less complicated games like ZT2 and JPOG for decades, so I have no doubt stable modding will allow us to still enjoy the game for years and years to come.

I was truly hoping for one last full year of Planet Zoo DLC, hoping they have a one huge pack that gives us everything we’d hoped for (though that might be stretching it) but a new game releasing this year is so exciting too!
There is nothing to say they won’t have a full year of dlc left, finishing in November-December. I think this is just people jumping on the pc2 hypetrain as pz is the older game now. Besides, you can probably bet there will be some sort of pack, or even free dlc with a console release.

On the one hand its ofc tiring to see all these Videos across the plattform with no clear confirmation. But we can also be thankful. Cause these prediction Videos and constantly talking about PC 2 "can" have a huge influence on the possibility that we get another pc2
It's interesting that PC did not dip in revenue. Kind of surprised they abandoned it when it was clearly making them money. I hope PC2 is the next one and just in time for when I buy a new PC I am planning on getting this year.

I had over 1000 hours put into planet zoo but stopped playing back in early 2022 when my computer eventually couldn't handle it anymore and slowly died (was an old computer) and I just never brought a new one.
Been more of a console gamer growing up anyway and have a ps5 and I'm happy planet zoo will be coming to console so I can get back Into it. The only downside is we definitely won't be able to build massive parks like we can on pc, or not highly detailed ones anyway
PZ DLC: It's the spring dlc, so wouldn't it be cool if we got things related to the spring as a lovely extra sendoff (eggs, birthing stuff, a nursery).... I definitely am feeling it's going to be a "mega pack" of 10-20 SMALL animals (yep, not big ones, not even habitat ones). I think it's going to be pretty clear to fill out the roster in our Exhibit houses. That seems to be the only "zoo-ey" thing (aside from water and birds which we are very clearly NOT getting now) that doesn't feel flushed out when you look at other options in the game. There's of course thousands of other things I'd prefer seeing, but I think with the overall approach and organization of the packs and game as a whole, I could see us getting some big pack of a bunch of exhibit animals. Hopefully that means more walkthrough options, and hopefully a variable or "modular" exhibit size as well as organization on things with that. And I could see more back-of-house or exhibit house type props and theming that could work for this pack, too (though unlikely). I would hope the update also includes some organization help with our general habitat animals, because I've gotten really sick of scrolling for hours to the bottom of pages (staffing, animal market, zoo encyclopedias, theming, etc). Better filters and categories would work on this matter.
Console: I don't have a console so it doesn't apply to me, but I DO hope it comes to pass for more players, perspectives, and hopefully that cross-platform collaboration stuff.
PC2: I'm sure we're getting PC2, but I'm not CONVINCED it's this year. I'm kindof hoping it isn't so Frontier does more DEVELOPING and doesn't **** us over the way they did with PC1 (when looking at PZ as a comparison). However, this release, well, they do seem to be marketing pretty loudly like a fart in a quiet church that it's theme park related, so hmmm..... I could go on for a series of episodes on what NEEDS, should be, and hopes, and everything in between for this release, and I know I'm going to be insanely unsatisfied, so I am setting the bar very low on release for PC2.
Hope they do Planet Coaster 2 right, Planet coaster launched phenomenally, and had great post launch support - at first - adding a few new rides and features to the base game, however after a bit they stopped releasing any free content and started spamming out DLCs (putting aside my general dislike for these smaller DLCs for not only being money gouge-y, they also just ruin the workshop since you can't use half the stuff, similar problem to the sims). In the end, the base game in planet coaster 2 still is quite lacking in the ride variety department, especially when compared to rct3. (we dont even have bobsled coasters!) - this was a major disappointment from someone who preordered the alpha prior to even the first alpha's launch
Would MUCH rather have a couple larger rct3 style expansions, (I WANT WATER STUFF) than 30 dlcs (also that subscription is a joke)
Im excited but cautiously so, i just realllly hope it doesnt end up having *less* base game content than the first one, which is VERY possible.
