What are your thoughts on buying/playing a certain ticket in a specific city that had the most big winners in that city? For example, the $50 ticket that came out a year ago (the top prize being $1 million per year for life, 2 tickets, and the following prize being $1 million, over 200 tickets) From March - Sept. last year on average every 40 days there was a $1 million winning ticket purchased in Tampa. Then it stopped until now and a few days ago there was another one purchased in Tampa. No other city came even remotely close to having so many $1 million winning tickets for that particular scratch off. I've noticed a similar pattern with many other tickets as well where there is a clear dominance of one or two cities where all the biggest claimers of a specific ticket end up being found (one time for instance it was Pensacola, another time it was Jacksonville etc.).
My honest thoughts are it’s all just pure luck. By all means you can try and track patterns and play within those patterns but I simply think it’s just right place, right time. Good Luck!
