My friend is Mexican and if she gave me a Mexican slang quiz, I'd 100% fail full stop because I don't know without any exposure, what slang is used there in Mexico. She knows some American slang because she lives here now, but not a lot. Slang is on the more unique side to a culture and unless you're watching a bunch of tv from that country/understand the language to understand it/or are around a bunch of people who use it, you're not going to get it.

You can't really ask a mexican and a dutch if they know american gen z terms... I am pretty sure the only reason Max even knows half of what he knows is because of Ricciardo who goes to US often
Lots of ppl around the world especially if they're active on social media and can understand English are just as familiar with American slang as Americans are because outside America ppl consume media from everywhere regularly unlike Americans who are understandably mostly limited to their own media because their media tends to be more dominant than that of other countries meanwhile ppl from other countries consume their own media as well as American and from other countries
I mean things like 'drip' , 'slaps', and 'spill the tea' does get said quite often online so many people would know them but TFW is something totally unknown to most

A lot of "Gen Z" slang is just AAVE (African-American Vernacular English) that's just been popularized and deemed as Gen Z slang tbh
You say that like none of the Gen Z kids are black, and that slang doesn't have an initial origin.
Even if a word originally came from Chinese disabled grandmas, it would still be Gen Z slang if it was widely used by Gen Z.

here in mexico the term thats used is "generación de cristal" in which cristal roughly translates to "glass" so i think he just mixed up the spanish and english version
