      Thanks, capacity depend on occupancy hazard, flow, pressure, pipe friction, area etc factors, while pressure of pump or system depend on head

    Excellent video sir. Please guide how to calculate pump head loss. Which standard or code we can get refrence. Few designers use H=h1+h2+h3+h4+h5+h6+10%Safety Factor. Is this type of calculation correct. (h1- frictional loss, h2- head loss due to pipe fittings, h3- static pressure exerted by tank, h4- head loss due to pump loss, h5- head loss due to vertical pipe against gravity, h6- head loss due to hose reels). Also h1 is calculated by Darcy Weisbach equation. Kindly guide what is the correct method and in which code it is mentioned🙏

    Would please make video on my question. My question is how to find pressure at any point of Firefighting system during Design stage. Based upon that pressure we will decide whether we are gonna install PRV at that point or not. Please explain. Thanks

      From design point of view, only two hydrant consider for flow of pump capacity and hydraulic calculation for head.

      Fire fighting pumps are available in market therefore no need to design. We have to calculate flow capacity and head through hydraulic calculation for pump selection. Some my fire fighting systems hydraulic calculation videos are available for guidance.
