I asked my friend, who is Mexican and speaks fluent Spanish, if "signal de cine" really is the correct translation for "movie sign," and it is! Cool, we learned some real Spanish from this!
I couldn't help but think of this when, a few years later, there was an episode of "The Simpsons" in which the family visited Brazil and watched a similarly...uh...exotic "Brazilian kids' show".
i just got this joke,at about 2:59 when crow is shown the letter,he speaks in a scratchy voice, and as apposed to saying, "A",he says,AGAU!AGAU,AAGUA!,which in spanish means, water,so basically,he's begging for water XD
how's that reading too much into it,it isn't like some conspiracy theory or something its what there saying, and i was saying it was a fun little easter egg i noticed.reading too much into it would be like saying there's no way there standing on that floor because in space theres zero gravity,or that joel would have died when crashing into the austrailian outback, thats looking too deep into it,even if it was,we all have those thoughts pass through are head
see? you just read way too much into my comment, too. have you ever seen Plaza Sesamo? You're reading too much into it because you made up a joke that wasn't there. They are just making fun of Plaza Sesamo, and Spanish-language television in general. Crow said "agua" because it is a well-known spanish word beginning with A.
@selfproclaimedprod My introduction to MST3K was The Movie. Naturally I was stoked when I got word we'd be getting the SciFi Channel and I could FINALLY watch the show itself. I was more than a little confused seeing the current Mads and their subplot... but damn it, this is one of my favorites too. *lol*
Mike dancing around in that skimpy silver outfit remains the single most disturbingly sexy thing I have ever seen.
Perhaps the funniest, most bizarre host segment in MST3K history. "AGUA!"
I never noticed Mike's confused glance at Crow after he moos. Cracked me up
Which is scarier....Nelson in silver pants or Nelson smiling beatifically and holding the number 3?
It's funny how the "kids show" the SOL crew is hosting starts out innocent, then becomes all Sábado Gigante-esque.
Love how Bobo and Brain Guy are just as enraptured as the kids.
0:44 Oh my gosh, Mike's acting in this scene is just amazing. This is why I prefer him to Joel (not by a ton, but still).
remember: when doing a children's show, NEVER AIR THE SPANISH VERSION ALONG WITH THE ENGLISH ONE. and Silver Shorts = FABULOUS!
Oh god the image of Mike in tight silver short shorts will forever be burned into my memory...

Season 11 is coming, But when?
Crow T. Robot Mike’s Spanish is really pretty decent!
And, of course, Mike's tight metallic short shorts....
I can only imagine when the other writers pitched this idea Mike was like, "I'm going to wear what?!"
It was probably Kevin Murphy's idea, getting back at him for making him wear that cat costume.
My guess is that it's poking fun at Xuxa.

@Torgo224 I have a gut feeling Bridgett had a hand in pitching this idea
Once again we see there is nothing you can possess which I cannot take away. I love Mike
Mike's accent was epic...
Also love Mike's Paul Freeman impersonation at the beginning. "There is nothing you possess which I cannot take away." :-D
I wonder if this was a response to those mistakingly thinking that MST3K was a kid's show...
there were kids watching lol
I can't stop watching the Indiana Jones villain impression. LMAO
It was blue. Brain Guy's in Molasses Swamp.
Mike's Belloq impression is sexy, but not as sexy as Mike's Spanish.
3.
A.
Right up there with "What's Up, Haddi-Man?"
Silver pants. Definatly the pants
You can tell from his impression of Rene Belloq that Mike had Perl right where he wanted her.
Pearl was my favorite Mad for sure.
Sometimes I worry about that Mike Nelson.
I agree...there is nothing to not like about this host segment. agua! agua!
Tonight on Biography.
I think I learnt something... but then everything got shiny and... huh. Hey look robots!
I love those guys.
Apparently Mike hated having to wear any kind of skimpy outfit so the writers took every opportunity.
Same with the dresses.
"Agua."
Observer, you're *omnipotent.* Why can't you *make* the card red?
"Why, that would be CHEATING!! ......I'll do it!"
"I'm not that omnipotent, Pearl!"
That's one of my favorite bits, right there. And with this show, that's saying something!

oh I never realized that!
"Agua. Agua."
Hands down the funniest sketch in the history of the show.

What this needs....is a guy in a bee costume!
Mike Nelson in hot pants...lol...that's a classic.
A G U A
Moo!
Thank god it's not both combined.
That.... disturbed me. :(
"Robots are DUMB. YOU'RE dumb!"
$12.50 each... seems reasonable to me.
" i love you" :D
@MysterySTForever "With a melon?!"
Mike in those silver shorts-rraawwwr 😍😙 #sohot
2:56 "A G U A ! A G U A !"
señal de cine!!!!!! LOL
I guess that means "MOVIE SIGN!!!!!"
ROMPE LO!
Okay, the Raiders of the Lost Ark thing I get, but what in the living Christ was the rest of it.
Sesame St from both sides of the border.
AGUA!
Oh god this is :o Aieee :o
Prompelo!
Agua!!
Lucky you.
AQUA AQUA lol
Today!
AGUA
What the heck is "rompero"? I've asked I don't know how many Spanish teachers over the years and they've all come up blank.
Because that's not a Spanish word, champ. That's not even what they're saying. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romper_Room
+Soylencer But what did Romper Room have to do with Mexico?
It was a kids show, it didn't have anything to do with mexico, it was a joke about kids' shows :p
I believe it means "Tear it up".
VanceTheVHSGuy 2.5 Now that might be more plausible.
wow they are totally making fun of Mexicans propensity for flashy stuff
Is it me or dose mike dressed up like a little kid?
When your friend asks you what's his rank on League of Legends.
AGUA!
