Unfortunately, I won't be able to join the actual event. But if I would, I'll definitely use my gravel bike. Thankfully my handling skill is enough to deal with all the offroad challenges of the route. And, it is faster on the paved roads. However there are a lot of factors. If the mtb has fast-rolling 29er tires, then that's gonna be faster than mine which has 27.5 mud tires. Gravelbike=faster. bouncy, requires good handling skills esp on loose and muddy terrain. MTB=comfortable, more confidence on the descents, rocky portion and mud. slower, requires more effort.
