I’ve been around with few retired as well as currently working ias and ips officers observing their attitude as well and yes this is true vision of a retired officer is totally different as that of a newcomer but there is also a factor that if you are an ias officer and you have good approach with ruling party then you are v much on a safer side as always.

Till now no IAS officer is found who is really a humble person. "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely". I have seen only arrogant administrative officers whether they may be from all India services or from state PCS. Both training and selection process for civil servants should be re-evaluated by the concerned authority. Talents of such officers are used only in the field of corruption not on nation building.

i did my engineering from engineering college from bihar.....there i was between students mostly from bihar u.p.....and most of them wanted to become ias ips just for power so that no one can challange them in the society from where they come.....almost all those who were dreaming for ias ips were from normal middle class families.....they don't prepare to serve the country and society they prepare so that society and country serve to them.......i cracked state public service comission and right now working as sdo in engineering department.....there is lots of responsibility on me,24 hours field work sometimes i really get frustrated...pressure from seniors and public pressure.....i can understand being an ias ips is not a easy job.....most students who become ias ips just pass their time in this job and get retired.

Everyone is corrupt in bureaucracy. Chamdi jaye par damdi naa jaye. But honesty is the best policy but no one wants to understand this phrase. Everyone wants make a big house n massive bank balance n properties. A big shame on such corrupt officers. If tomorrow aspirants of civil services also become like that corrupt officer then you should leave to prepare for examination. Becoz a selfless n an honest officer's identity is different among all the other officers.

Clearing an exam and taking bribe are different things.कोई exam देके कोई अचछा आदमी बन सकता है,ऐसा होगा नही और होने का कोई मतलब भी नही.exam जाँब मे जाने का एक रोड है,इससे ज्यादा इसका कोई मतलब नही.

It depends on state. In states like up or in center, ias ips etc are equal to bhagwan. In states like punjab gujrat kerela, they are very corrupt. One small case can't make ias ips bad choice. Infact, it's the best. In coming future, value will increase. In covid times, people have realised there strength. Punjab has aap govt. It will not be there forever...

Sir one Question regarding same ❓
1 - 1.5 Lcs Per Month is not a small amount ( at least for me)
But what if someone have a more tendency to save Rather then being materialistic or if someone is not a Profligate.
Then in 5-6 years of service He/She Can have saving for 30-35-40 Lcs.
And also if one keeps all of that money in Bank
Then is it a problem on the character of that person. ?
Because there is a saying in govt employees "Salary ko bs idhr se udhr krte h corrupt log taki govt ko lge ki ha paiso ki zarurat hai isko"
