Hi Kristy, first of all I hope you're having a wonderful summer. Starting a balcony garden has certainly brought a whole new experience for me this summer. I had the chance to try this year only because I didn't have any travel plans. They certainly do require care and attention. On a scorching hot days, they tomato plants and herbs starts to wilt that I don't think they will survive a few days without me. I think indoor plants, even thought we cant't harvest and consume them, are just as enjoyable and rewarding 😉

It’s so nice to be able to pick cucumbers from your own garden 😍 My heart breaks as well while watching the news about flooding back home 💔 It was so relaxing to watch your vlog today while I’m just chilling and taking a break from chores. Lovely balcony garden! And so you know, soap does work to keep bugs off plants. So does neem! I've used both with great success. And both wash off after picking them and are safe if a little is ingested. Tips for next year! 😅
Thanks for sharing your experience using neem and soap. It’s a much better alternative to using pesticides. As first time balcony gardener, there was a lot to learn 👨🌾 😊

It was lovely seeing you back. Your plants thrive well, and I am so happy to watch it. These wild strawberries have a sweet taste. I do have them in our front yard. I thought they were weeds in the beginning, but I hesitated to remove them because they carried fruits. My brother-in-law told me they were excellent and edible, so I let them thrive, and since then, I have enjoyed eating them yearly. Happy summer to you, dear Cheryl. 🥰

Hi, great to see your videos again. They are not strawberrries, its ”wild strawberries” which is a confusing name in english because its not a strawberry. Its a small small sweet berry that looks just like the ones on your plant when they are ripe :) in swedish we call them smultran and thread them upon straws
Thanks for the info! I had no idea they are wild strawberries 😄 Next time I know better what variety to plant 🌱 I didn’t really eat the fruits but they give off such a sweet strawberry scent when I walk into my balcony and that alone already makes me happy 😊
Hi and thanks for that idea! I haven’t heard of mesh tents but that sounds like something I should look into for next summer if I decide to plant in my balcony again. Autumn is on it’s way here so our balcony garden season is almost over.

Hi Cheryl! I was wondering when I’d see you again! Have you thought about covering your plants with mesh tents? I had to do that for my tomato plants.
Hi and thanks for that idea! I haven’t heard of mesh tents but that sounds like something I should look into for next summer if I decide to plant in my balcony again. Autumn is on it’s way here so our balcony garden season is almost over.
