thanks for doing this, I have been trying to figure out the cheapest low bottleneck and lower wattage build for a 5090 because I want the graphics it can bring but I can only get like 950W from my house before I risk overloading its grid along with I need to get a car but I want a better pc and right now its either a $4k car or a $4k 5090 build/laptop when they become available but you know if I can build a $2500-$3000 5090 build then maybe i can get both a car and a newer pc, I have also been looking at E-GPUing a 5090 to my current pc which is an Eluktronics RP15 G2 with an R7 7840hs and a 4070m(desktop equiv for the ppl who dont know laptop parts-7800x and a 4060ti 8gb) if anyone knows a channel or has the knowledge themselves to help me with the possible E-GPU i know there will be some bottlenecking but I dont think it should be enough to stop me from gaming at 1440p max 165fps
Its a extremely good thing a pc only use 50% of its price to gpu but a pc with all price goes to gpu benits will be much better if you have 16gb ram and 650w psu ( cheap pc don't use more power and any GPU only can get up to 600w alone )

This is one of the most interesting 50 series videos I have seen so far. I find it much more interesting to see how these cards actually operate in less that perfect systems like the majority of people have. I understand literally just a single digit percent of the viewership here will actually be buying a 5090 but a lot of us will be getting 5070 and 5080 so it's cool to see what we could look forward to with these cards in our current systems instead of just guessing and assuming.
I still love the P520. I built one last year with the W-2135 and a RX 5600XT. I recently upgraded it to a W-2155 with a RX 7600XT. Made a good gaming pc even better and still under $600 for everything including the 8TB of storage I added.
Having 2 separate psus combined at the 12vhpwr connector may have been causing the psus to behave erratically. A retest while powering the 12vhpwr with only the external psu would be prudent to see if the card would be more stable.
