What a great idea! I have big, medium and small ephemera and scraps all thrown together in a box and the small pieces get lost in amongst it all and get overlooked. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is a wonderful idea. I used some small photo albums for my tiny ephemera pieces. But I like you & so many othets only cut we need of the ephemera so we can use it now. Having them ready to go at a glance is a great time saver!! Have a blessed week.
Wow great book ….I really must make one… I might be the only one that wants to see the other style of joining book pages together this ….hoping ur feeling better soon….rest rest rest …..loving ur channel x
Lovely, you could use laminated sheets instead of acetate also treasury tags instead of the metal rings. I have just bought a metal spiral bound 2023 diary from the Works for a £ and am planning to stick two pages together to make the page stronger and will use tracing paper to make the pockets. I will then have 4 of these ephemera holders in different sizes. One for labels, one for Stamps, another for Butterflies and my latest one will be for Flowers. I will also include your idea of putting two pages together so I can have a large pocket for those bigger cut outs. Thank you for sharing your ideas, would love to see the fabric folder one being made xxxx
Thank you! My ephemera holders I have now are so full they look like tubes instead of books. I also like that you can add or subtract from it if needed.
Great idea! I was cutting out various labels while I watched this video. You must be having a good RA/hand day. I've got RA also and those rings have been the bane of my existence since before I was diagnosed!
Awesome. I’m just getting started on junk journaling and I’m swimming in my ephemera. The nice thing is the binder rings come in even larger sizes so you can expand even more.
This is perfect!! I am loving it. I will be making at least one soon!! Thank you! You are the best.. Love you and your projects. I do have smaller rings so perfect! Oh the one hundred day challenge I plan on being with you next one, My craft spot is destroyed right now.. soon to be put back together. I so want to do that with you all.
I didn't like the idea of the rings on the journal, but this changed my mind. I need to make a couple of these myself. Of course you made it simple as well. Have a wonderful day tomorrow because I believe you are 9 hours ahead of us so it's late at night for you. If I'm wrong please correct me so I know. Thanks.
Hi Rachel, I like the idea of the rings , haven’t seen that before. I also like the idea of double page. I tried sewing on a single page, l lined everything up perfectly, dotted a bit of glue … what a disaster! I have started using a good quality tracing paper which I glue. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts. But have used it for awhile and working well. Another suggestion for the Sari silk or other trimmings would be to tie it on the top ring. Thank you for another great idea.
Thank you for creating this tutorial. It didn’t occur to me that I could make a booklet myself to hold my bits and bobs to make it easy to find things!! I’m a bit slow I guess!! 😂my things get do lost and scattered! I’m hoping this will help!
Unfortunately I finished some organizational crafting a few weeks ago. Though I really enjoy seeing new ideas. Never know when you might need another folder. Take care! Feel better soon!
This is a fabulous idea and great way to store ephemera to have at your finger tips! Love it! Another one to add to my to do list! Oh how I wish there was more time in my day!
Love this idea and think about doing for a while. Fab ideas on where to start saving acetate too 👍 as I think I would like to use something see-through too. I've had those rings in multiple sizes in work. Last place I bought a bunch was in the education shop on Trinity campus in Carmarthen (cheap as chips - but several years ago). Might be worth checking if there is a similar shop on Swansea campus next time you're there. Cheers ☺
Rach, I’m new to crafting. Love all the ephemera you make. To make a journal do you always have to sew the pages you choose to the back binding, I saw the rings & I saw you said to sew, just wondered if there was another option. Access to sewing may be a problem. Such beautiful examples end up creating! MAW
Hi Marie, by sewing in the pages, we mean using a simple hand stitch method called pamphlet stitch. I will demonstrate this this week if that helps xxx
28:56 Yes please. I've got a hardcover book just waiting...And I really love this one today too. Would those extra wide eyelets have a longer shank, for thicker card?
I made on holder using card stock and cereal packaging to hold ephemera. I have to be careful because they may accidental escape. I need to see thru the holding package. Maybe I made the holders too small and not heigh enough? I like your idea ❤
I saw Roxy Creations using one the other day and went and found her very old video so this is perfect timing Thank you. Where do yiu buy your sari silk from? I couldn't find any on ebay :( Hope you're voice is recovering xx
Have never made an ephemera holder with rings! Smaller rings is a great idea also💖💖
Thank you xx
What a great idea! I have big, medium and small ephemera and scraps all thrown together in a box and the small pieces get lost in amongst it all and get overlooked. Thanks for the inspiration!
What a genius idea to keep some "threads" for the tags! Merci.
Thank you so much xx
I absolutely love this! It’s beautiful! I’m gonna get busy and make one. Thank you!
