Have watched a great many UC contests and cannot recall ever, and I mean ever, seeing Mr Paxman sneer, be smug, or in any other way be other than charming and polite. The very idea is absurd although finds its way predictably on almost all comment threads to a UC episode.

I wondered if people would get that... in basketball especially, players who have made a significant contribution to a team have their number retired, which means hanging their team singlet in the rafter, and not allowing anybody else to use that number.
