  • This video was a bit cumbersome, as it had been a year since working with the Novik Stone AC siding. Mr. Kongable had forgotten that the siding pieces needed to be set back 3 inches from the corner so that the corner pieces will fit.

Thanks brother from another mother!!! You just made my decision super easy. I am wrapping my crappy looking chimney!

Sweet, I’m looking at going up just one piece around the whole foundation, then start on vinyl.. do I need to use their pricey starter strip or can I just use regular metal starter? And ya think I’d be able to just transition to vinyl with out the “ledge” they sell that’s like 65 bucks for 10 feet?

You will need to use their starter

@@mr.kongablewhat about just siding up without using the ledge?

Do you know about going straight from the stone to vinyl, and not having to use the ledge in between to save on cost?

@@mr.kongableno worries! What about using regular j-channel around windows? Will 3/4 work? I know they sell their own that has a piece that locks and covers, but there is none in stock and I have to get going on this lol.

I’m curious if they feel like plastic?

Yeah, they feel like a plastic siding but they look good from the road

Just finished hiding our house's ugly brick facade with Novik Artisan Cut. What Novik never mention: everytime you cut a panel horizontaly, the part that you cut off is 100% wasted. We bought 30 pieces. According to our calculations, we only needed 25. Well....we bought 43 panels in total. Going around doors, windows, garage doors...etc wastes a lot of panel. Also, here in Canada, their distribution totally sucks. Novik sales to Mitten and Mitten sales to the hardware store. Everyone takes a cuts. Some details on panels mechanical engineering flaws. Also lead time is about 3 weeks!! Basically, will never use Novik products again

I agree with you about the horizontal cuts, it is wasted for sure. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with it. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about it.
