Hidden, I have watched most all of your videos and am dutifully impressed with your collections, knowledge, and displays--BUT this one is by far the best. Being from Richmond, Virginia and seeing probably more Confederate notes at shows than most people, I must say you have the most complete and nicest collection of these notes that I have seen. Kudos. As you probably know, some of the Confederate notes were printed by Deats Printing here in Richmond, and as a side note, Mr. Deats started our local coin club in 1929. And some of the Richmond Printing plates were still extant after the loss of the Civil War, and therefore there are many "reprints" of these. Also Richmond being the capital of the Confederacy at one time, some of the notes were hidden in the walls of homes during the war--and after the war, were used as just insulation in the walls as they were considered worthless. That being said, every once in a while, even to this day, with period homes being restored, caches of original, genuine Confederate notes are found and eventually enter the collector market. And additionally, as you say, the $500 bill is quite rare (a supreme amount of money at the time) and quite expensive to add to a collection. I have never seen a real one. Just saying.
Hidden your knowledge astounds me. Your videos are so filled not with numismatic knowledge but historic fact truly makes your stream even more interesting. Bravo my friend. SOUP
