"Wow" this was directed by Alan Yentob and shown for BBC's Omnibus strand it shows, Bowie's struggle with cocaine addiction as well as his mental state and him beginning to discard his Ziggy Stardust, persona. This documentary will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this January 26th, 2025 , hard to believe I was just 13 yrs old when this was released in 1975. I tell you all I loved and grieved for David. He had been part of my background music most of my life . I pray for his wife Iman and daughter , son , grandchildren, loosing a loved one is painful , as the years pass it doesn't get easy you only have good or bad days . We are at a period in our lives where we are now seniors and not only loosing our own family members and friends but, our celebrities we cherish as well. I can only speak for myself as a fan since a young teen its as if David was a part of my life after all went to concerts , ran to buy a 8 track for my car and albums , then cassettes, C.Ds loved turning on MTV back when they played music videos hated near the end what MTV became but, its part of the circle of life. I miss turning on my radio hearing a new hit song and thats the truth. Hats off to Alan Yentob 50 yrs . ❤

Saw this show 4 times in 1974. Where did they find this footage?

Have you heard of the 1975 BBC documentary "Cracked Actor" ?
This footage is from that, it follows Bowie across the dessert and Los Angeles, meanwhile explaining, who Ziggy was. It is 53 minutes.

Yeah, and that's another thing I was going to say the recording stuff back then was not state of the art, so I am sure I sounded much better there in person. Every day I find something new on TH-cam..........
