Tae chose the best people in their field, during the slow dancing performance Tae invited a friend who was an expert in battle dance (they became better known to many people because they danced with Tae). Their band members are great people, Tae gives the band members the opportunity to show their skills. I even just found out that Jacob is a multi-grammy and golden globe winner because of Tae.
The band are brilliant, no doubt in that, and deserves the shine, but I’m sure there are Koreans out their who can shine like that as well 👊🏾 how many amazing Korean jazz musicians out there?
@@UNCLEMOMOJazz is not a popular and supported music genre in sk, actually sk producers are talking about the risk TAE took to release an album with NON popular music, if someone is inclusive with people, highlighting and appreciating their talents no matter the nationality, race, sex genre is Kim Taehyung, just as data, the backup singers at least 2 of them live in sk, and one of them have worked with bts previously, if something TAE did with his album is break the stigmas of music in Kpop industry for release a non “commercial” album and for be inclusive with people of diverse nationalities and color skin because you will not see SK performances with this diversity of people and I’m sure the band was selected because of their amazing skills, this was not the last time they performed together they met for another live band session, they hang out together and now even some of them -despite being Grammy and golden globe winners like Mr Jacob- named himself as part of TAE’s band, that’s the amazing human being TAE is. So please TAE and bts are the last ones to disrespect people/musicians. Thank you for your reaction, I hope you continue enjoying of V Kim Taehyung’s music, if you follow him in Ig (@thv) you will realize how much he recommend music from artist that are not well known but give them platform to shine.
@@UNCLEMOMOanother data is TAE made an special live session this year to celebrate bts 10th anniversary honoring some old classics music but with arrangements for jazz with Korean Band and jazz singer Minna Seo, another amazing performance but now with Korean team. LE JAZZ THE V, I recommend you react to, regards!
@@kdrrrr7764 Bravo well said. BTS are also known to stand up for diversity not just in the their music but in their ethos and they put their money where their mouth is.
Actually, most of the members of this band have shown their gratitude towards V for including them in his promotion. One of the backup singers is also a dancer and has been in a commercial with BTS. I believe the Sax player is a grammy winner. 💜
After checking your comments, the backing vocal all 3 (4 in other shows) are in fact live in Korea and fluent in the language, he flew in the musicians. This is a man of colour himself who faced alongside his bandmates lots of racism in the western world. You'd be surprised to know that having these artists with him puts him in disadvantage in his own home country, yet he gave them the platform to shine
08:13 Actually, the backing vocals are located in Korea, and they do sing in Korean in some part. As for the musicians, I believe the skill was the factor in choice, not the skin colour, like in the case of the guitar and bass. I believe this is V's band now, and the tiny desk was their first official gig since they worked together in other performances, and they were with him in his live performances in K-pop shows
15:50 they gotta start somewhere? Right? It's not like he is the one who's keeping them from being at the front 😅😅😅 if anything he gave them a stage and an opportunity for bigger exposure that will get them to higher places, he even took the time to introduce everyone one of them including the backing vocals who are in fact living in Korea not in the US, you got too heated over nothing uncle momo. It almost feels like you don't want any one to nod to the origins of the culture, this was an opportunity not a stigma. Speaking of stigma you should watch V's song called Stigma.
Thanks for the reaction! Yes V’s voice is gorgeous and unique as is all of Layover! I love the band! Every single one is super talented! I think it would be an insult to them to assume they were chosen for any other reason than talent. They also did a couple amazing band sessions together on the Bangtantv channel if you feel inclined to watch. Their chemistry is undeniable 😃
They are all amazing and I’m sure he has chosen the band because of the bond he has, I was talking about the music industry only signing black people as support for leads and how that stigma hasn’t change I wanted to read thoughts on that. My point wasn’t directed but more general to the music industry V is amazing and I can’t wait to react to more of him and the band (which is very diverse
I'm sorry uncle momo but I don't agree with you, backup singer got all kind of race, even V IS colour too, but when you narrow how the industry in general only using black people as a backup singer, that's not right, if that singer is Jon for example, n his backup singer is Korean, I can also say, ohhh Korean only good in backup singer but no.. I would never said that, Tae loves jazz so much, he going to the root of the genres, jazz birth frm black people, everyone know, so him choosing to gives gratitude to the right owner is expected. He respect jazz genres n only choose the best n talented one to show that he value the genres that close to his heart. Generally this industry will stay like this. Coz your point is like an offended to black community. I'm a colour myself n seeing some colour people's uplift another colour to Co exist together, for me is amazing. Maybe V can't change the whole industry but he did his part. We shld do too by not to too stick the stigma. But I can say black people are very good at sing as lead vocal n also backup singer. They are amazing.
I wish you saw the whole performance, the other 2 songs are definitely a must watch, specially in "Slow Dancing", maybe then you'll understand why he choose these musicians, he picked the best in the industry, regardless of the skin colour, it actually strange that he should rob these people from the opportunity because of their skin colour, also if you waited you'd have heard him introducing the band.
I was talking in general and the whole music industry using black people as backing singers only and not giving them the same platforms as artist who are not as good as them. I wanted to know how people feel about it.
@UNCLEMOMO backup singers comes from all skin colours though, and there's many black artists in the industry, keep in mind that this is also a man of color he isn't given the same platform as the white western artists, all of kpop artists are looked down at as well
@@UNCLEMOMO I understand your position, unfortunately this is common and not just because of skin color; great talents stay at the back of the stage or just teaching others. The members of BTS will always recognize the talent of those who accompany them whether dancing, with vocals or playing instruments, they will not always be able to do it in public but they thank them and in some cases they work together again. In reality, people are selected for their talent in the area in which they will participate, although I will not deny that sometimes they do request people with different characteristics but that is because they seek to reflect diversity and that is not that they do less to others, on the contrary they seek to demonstrate that there are people in the world with different characteristics from each other, but that does not make them worth some more than others but that we are equal, that in this world we all have a place and we can live together. The BTS guys themselves have faced so much hatred, discrimination, xenophobia throughout their career; being kids with great and multiple talents in their own country they are not recognized as artists since many of the population there have a preconceived idea that those who are part of the idol (kpop) industry are not artists but simple products of an industry. So you will be able to realize everything they faced in order to get to where they are.
I dont like your opinion. But it up to u .u can have the right to think . V is superstar and they are honor to played for V so please think positives. Thanks
Hello uncle Momo, I would like to ask a sincere question. Have you been able to listen to Taehyung's whole album without skipping a single song? This album, by the way, was released on September 8th. On this album, Taehyung's vocals were the focal point, it's so soulful and it has a good vibe, plus it detailed how the story went. He did several live performances both in South Korea and Japan variety shows and each one he gave a different flavor to it. Anyway, going back to Taehyung's Tiny Desk performance, how I wish you finished the whole performance first before you gave any reactions about it. Taehyung introduced the entire band after the first song and also gave the instrumentalists a 1-minute musical break to shine with him. There have been no other artists I have seen doing this, only him. He decided to add more flair to this performance by having backup vocals. In short, he gave the band great exposure to showcase their impressive skills. Taehyung is an artist who gives opportunities to make others shine with him, regardless of their origin or skin color. He is an artist who possesses both diversity and selflessness. He's a genius and his critical thinking is so unique as an artist. I have a great respect and admiration for him because of his love for music. In addition to his music, I am deeply in awe of his admirable personality, sense of humor, and humility. By the way, I thank you still for your reaction.
They are all brilliant and the song is amazing, it’s not about colour it’s about stigma that has been going on for almost 100yrs. I believe that there are enough talented Koreans who would have equally done the same performance instead of flying various people around.
@@UNCLEMOMOwhat's wrong with flying people!! He wanted to have the best of the best with him regardless of what skin colour they have!! This is V of BTS, he'll get the best most skilled people with him!!
@@UNCLEMOMOI do understand your point of view regarding the selection of musicians that they could have selected Korean instrumentalists and back-up singers instead, but with all due respect, if you have just watched Taehyung's other live performances, you will see that all his back-up dancers were Korean nationals. It's possible that this is the reason behind in selecting a diverse musicians and backup singers from outside of South Korea to form the band for Taehyung's performance here at Tiny Desk. Even though the exact reason is unknown, the organic chemistry between the band and Teahyung's soulful performance for us is something that cannot be denied😊
@@UNCLEMOMO A few months ago they uploaded to the BangtanTV channel a performance called Le jazz de V, where he performed 2 covers of jazz songs from the 50's accompanied by 4 wonderful musicians (who have already worked with them in presentations of other genres and even in composition) and a very good singer, all Koreans, really a great performance. But I think that to achieve the atmosphere and the flow that was desired on this occasion, musicians and vocalists who have had more contact with the genre were required, and although there are them in Korea, since it is not a popular genre, I do not think they will manage to have that vibe. Really the whole Tiny Desk and the two Band Sessions that were uploaded on BangtanTV were spectacular and it was achieved by the flow of each and every one of those who participated, clarifying that V already liked jazz before joining his company and becoming part of the group, now he is a true lover of jazz as well as old school R&B; he decided that he wanted to offer on album.
I understand you wanted to speak on this very legitimate concern, but i sincerely think you chose the wrong artist to point ot put with and as a result the point isn't hitting the audience in the way you intended. This os because BTS is widely known for working with an extremely diverse pool of talent, from choreographers to dancers to bands to designers and beyond. They're known for boosting talent, both nameless and already successful, from before they could even afford to. They're deeply sensitive to stereotyping in regards to race, gender and sexuality and have put their money and careers where their mouths are for years. It's like...the reason they're this huge. What they stand for and how genuine they've proven to be. They are honestly the last people out there to choose black backing vocals out of a long established normalized stigma, and so we're all kind of too busy being flabbergasted you chose V to bring up this (I repeat, otherwise VERY IMPORTANT AND LEGITIMATE) issue with. That's why it's feeling more like you're basically saying no one who isn't black themselves should ever use black backup vocals for anything ever, full stop, which I don't think you are (apologies if I'm incorrect). Just wanted to long winded-ly explain why you're getting pushback and why I don't think anyone actually disagrees with you! Have a great day, I hope you check out some more of his live performances !
Exactly, thank you. Like "le jazz de V" and the band in IU's pallete were all Korean, if anything I was grateful he gave a nod and a platform for these artists to shine alongside him.
So you're bothered because this band is not all Korean? He should only be working with artists from Korea? If that's what you'd rather see then watch Le Jazz de V - that should make you happy. People are free to work with whomever they want.
I don't know what's V's intention was for choosing them. I can only think of possible reasons. One is inclusion, diversity. Another one is he believes in these people's talent and he would like to introduce and highlight these artists to South Korea and the world. But then, that's me. V can work with anybody that he jives with. I just would like to let you know, one of the people that used to work with BTS, her name is Adora, is now a solo artist and has been releasing her songs. And She's grateful that she worked with BTS for a while. AND!!! Even though she already is a solo artist now, she didn't hesitate to be Agust D's back vocals in his recent concert in Seoul. These artists like to work with BTS.
The only one who was not appreciative at all. Did not finish his reaction.. you are actually the one who is amplifying the stigma concept whilst everyone was enjoying the show. Jacob did really well. He shone even brighter than V. Anyway continue watching other Vids except V. I wont mind.
I've watched the reaction and checked the comments thus far. Fans are very defensive when it comes to BTS, but I sense your concerns are coming from a genuine place, so I want to offer a different take. I personally think you're conflating two issues which may be why some are misunderstanding your critique. The first is whether we've reached a point in society and music, where it's so global that cultural appreciation is no longer needed. I highly disagree with this, it's very nice to see artists appreciating the roots of the music and I don't think there can ever be a point where we lose that lest we risk erasing such history all altogether. In addition, not all countries have reached a point where they're more progressive with regard to these topics and racism in general (e.g. many Asian countries), so it's important that we still do this to propagate representation, inclusion and appreciation everywhere in the world. I think this live illustrates that the appreciation is not just performative, but real as well, especially if you have a look at the singer and band's chemistry throughout. The second issue is the overall image of a more white singer with black backup vocalists and musicians. As a person of colour, I can appreciate the discomfort of that image, and I do think having a bit more of a mixed band would've helped, but I do also feel like you get stuck in a bit of a damned if you do, damned if don't place. If it was an all-Korean band there's a total lack of cultural appreciation (particularly because it's his first project in this genre). Imo the addition of the 2 white members gives an indication that these band members were selected for a reason beyond the color of their skin / being performative, and as others have mentioned, I think the band shows throughout the concert depicts exactly why they were selected. So in conclusion, I think you may have jumped the gun with some of the issues raised with regards to this particular video, but I don't fault you for doing so and I totally understand why they arise. I can see it not being a good look, but I think the intention with this concert was not performative or with that in mind.
Just letting you know he did do a jazz bit with a fellow Korean in a previous performance. And I think in this case he chose people who he felt would bring more to his music I guess
V did do a two song Jazz live performance with an entirely Korean band and a female Korean jazz singer... I understand what you're saying, but I love the fact that BTS and the members include people from multiple cultures and backgrounds in their music videos and performances. I don't think these singers and musicians would appreciate NOT being chosen to perform with one of the top vocalists in the world because they aren't the same ethnicity as him.
Thank you V is talent for alls he do is perfettly greatest vocalist solist he love live he explaine his no only that is wonderfull from the next generazione to jazz god bless V for ever ❤❤❤❤❤
6:53 I see your point, while there is progress it is still slow, and blackness is still often used as a "prop" to instill a certain vibe, instead of giving black artists a pedestal to showcase their talent. In this case, I can assure you it was not the case, and there was genuine collaboration and appreciation all around. Both V and BTS are heavily influenced by music that was made by black people throughout the years, and they never fail to show appreciation and give credit where it's due. They're very open about the people they work with and often give direct shoutouts and promote their work to us fans, essentially putting them on a pedestal in front if a massive audience. They also feature black artists in some songs, sharing the stage with them during performances (I e. Megan Thee Stallion and Halsey), though it's not very easy to organise that due to the countries being so far apart and their busy schedules. That said, back when BTS debuted years ago, they definitely did not understand the concept of cultural appropriation, but they listened to their fans, educated themselves and have been amazing role models for inclusion and cultural appreciation ever since 💜
Обожаю Тэхёни за талант, отношение к людям, всё, что делает Тэ это шедевр, альбом это наслаждение, своей музыкой он касается тонких струн наших душ. Спасибо вам за реакцию.
Since you enjoy V’s voice and say you could listen to his album all day, it would have been preferable if you focused on that during this reaction. It’s your channel and your concerns of some imbedded racism in the music industry has validity, but honestly this artist wasn’t the right one to use for your concerns. First V is a person of colour, second he’s an artist that respects talent and doesn’t exclude individuals to work with based on race. As an individual artist and as a group BTS center diversity and talent. Unlike some artists, they respect and pay homage to the black artists and music styles that inspired them. They are the exact opposite of what’s wrong in the music industry and have suffered it’s racism as well. Again, it was likely it was just a thought that came to you at the time, but it’s really important to see that it doesn’t fit this artist nor this gorgeous performance of nine talented musicians who merged and made magic.
imho representation is not something you need to be mad about. you might say you're not mad but that's certainly how you come across. you also seem to think theyre there as "decoration", to fill in the diversity quota. im sincerely asking, what problem do you have regarding what race the people providing backing vocals are? who cares if they're black or asian or white when theyre there to do their job, which is making music?
I think you research about black singers not getting record deals and only used as backing singers. I’m talking about the music industry as a whole I wasn’t singling out V
@@UNCLEMOMOHuh?! You really think black artists don’t get record deals? Rihanna? Beyoncé? The Weekend? Lionel Richie? Whitney Houston? I can go on and on, but to what end? I so disagree saying musicians like 'V' is replaceable, as far as I am concerned the right person singing lead vocal, V' he cannot be replaced he has a totally unique voice that is instantly recognizable from others. He has a baritone husky sensual baritone jazzy, soulful voice to an impressible falsetto. He made up the band of people from various culture, the best in the trade because he is a perfectionist. And he acknowledges the band if you keep watching and gives them the ability to shine rather than being all about him.
You should have watched the next 2 songs as well..Slow dancing and For Us…You really missed out on the whole performance vibe..the best was Slow dancing…It wasn’t that much longer…With Love Me Again…V and the band were just warming up…😔…please watch the next 2 songs..to really experience what V was trying to create with his music……🤩💜

Info about BTS member V (Kim Taehyung)....One of the few Baritones in KPOP, V has widest vocal range (as per real vocal analysts) of Eb2 ~ C6 (3 octaves, 5 notes and 1 semitone), which means he can also hit high octaves with ease ....He is multitalented. A Singer, Dancer, Composer, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Entertainer, Photographer, Artist, Painter.... A Jazz Lover He plays saxophone, piano, violin, and is now learning trumpet... He joined BigHit and BTS at 15years old. He is now 27. Fun Facts - during one of BTS practice sessions Tae hit the highest and lowest notes of all the members - his range is insane, deep and yet airy at the same time, seems like he is whispering directly to your soul. Check out the Enjoy BTS More channel for live performance of Stigma by V with english subs... check out his high notes.
Your racist rant is not relevant here..Taehyung’s appreciation for jazz, R&B, neo soul, classics is already going against the norm in South Korea…Taehyung hired talented musicians that will perform his songs the way V wanted…period…Layover is Vs album and V can hire whoever he wants for his band…You didn’t truly appreciate V and his band and their musical performance because of your racist rant…your reaction was not respecting them at all as talented musicians because you were only focusing on the color of their skin…V and his diverse band deserve to be heard in a positive , appreciative manner..not used as a negative side note for your views..😟
How can you see what I said Racist? My comment was directed at the music industry, my point is that we have amazing diversity in soul music around the world, but yet blacks people are still backing singers instead of being diverse. Artist will never see colour…but the music industry always will.
@@UNCLEMOMO Think of what you said about diversity, V is Korean, the backup singers just so happen to be black, but they all live in Korea and Speak Korean and it wasn’t the Music industry choice in this Tiny Desk it was V’S Choice to have Them As Back Up Singers!! WHAT’S MORE DIVERSE THEN A KOREAN SINGER HAVING AND SUPPORTING TALENT ( That Just So Happen to be Black Singers ) IN HIS SHOW!! Don’t Forget V himself is also a Person Of Color!! So What Your Saying is if SINGING BACKUP VOCALS FOR A TALENTED SINGER Such as V ( Both The Singers Choice and The Backing Vocals Choice ) They shouldnt Purse Their Dreams as Artists because THEIR SKIN COLOR IS DIFFERENT !! So Black Backup Singers Should Only Sing with Black Artist then!! Again V Hand Picked Them For Their Talent NOT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY OR HIS STAFF !! He Showcased THEIR TALENTS VERY WELL as Singers and IF THEY ARE THANKFUL TO V AND LOVED WORKING FOR HIM WHAT DOSE IT MATTER!! BEFORE YOU Say That’s Not What you Said!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID, V SHOULD OF USED AND HAND PICKED KOREAN ARTIST NOT BLACK ARTIST FOR BACKGROUND VOCALS!! Where IS THE DIVERSITY IN THAT YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT!! You Keep SAYING IT WAS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY HAND IN PICKING THE BACKUP VOCALS, IT WAS Vs Choice and HE HANDPICKED THE BEST AND ONLY THE BEST TO REPRESENT THE STYLE OF MUSIC!! Why are you only POINTING OUT THE BACKGROUND VOCALS When THE Drumer Is BLACK AS WELL AS THE PIANO MAN AND THE SAXOPHONIST!! If It Were all KOREAN YOU WOULD OF FOUND SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT ( THEY DID AN OK JOB OR THEY DIDN’T GIVE OFF THE SAME VIBE AS A ALL BLACK BAND ) BEFORE YOU COME AT ME ( Think first, what’s more diverse then a Korean Singer that also has White and Black Artists in His performance)
Keep these reactions to yourself if you are gonna be so pressed about who an artist chooses to include in his band. In fact, don't even watch his videos. Such an unnecessary point to be pissed about.
Really?? Then you must not be actually hearing what I’m talking about! There are all brilliant amazing. I was addressing a stigma that has been in the music industry for almost a hundred years. which now been seen as a normal thing. I wanted to share this stigma and to read comments.
the people think you're hung up on something that isn't even worth mentioning. so you're saying he should've stuck to asians because? he's given a platform to an amazing group of musicians to shine, why are you so pissed about that? this isn't an opinion i ever thought I'd hear come out of a colored persons mouth
@@UNCLEMOMO Korea is very racist & colorist. Their comedy shows always make fun of tan skin. V is going against the norm by involving black artists given the country's obsession with white skin. Rarely do you see K-pop idols do this. So it's weird how you interpreted it as a negative thing.
So you are saying he shouldn't work with them because they are not Korean??? Out of the MANY MANY reactions and performances I have watched I have never seen this comment before. So I suppose it is unique, but I would say not in a good way. These are V's friends, friends of friends or people he has heard about on the grapevine. I mean he has been in the business 10 years! I don't know if you have ever listened to their song ON but there is an 'ON Commentary Film' (BTS are not in it) where they go to LA and follow the recording of the marching band and gospel choir elements of the track and interview the producers, musicians and singers about BTS. I would advise you to watch it. They could have said anything about BTS but they all gave beautiful comments about them as people, as a group and their message. I advise you to watch it.💜

I was excited to see your reaction until you made those comments. You made assumptions without checking the facts. I didn’t continue watching but perhaps you enjoyed the music.
@@UNCLEMOMO I talking about the backup singers. They live in Korea. Go back and listen to what you said. Or perhaps I misunderstood and if I did then I apologize.
There's is nothing wrong with him flying his band mates frm all around the world. He already do performance with all the musician frm Korea, if you watch le jazz de V. Why are you so offended about him choosing people's frm around the world. He just want to work with great artist frm outside Korea. But why are you still sticking to the old stigma. It is you that still live in the old era. I don't want to say that u are too racist but you are. I know what do you mean. I'm in my 50's. But you still hold on this makes me feel disappointed, coz I respect you. You try to use racism when we n V values music n people's that involved in it. I hope you go back to watch your comment n realised what it gives to others the signal.
Don’t you think the band being with Kim Taehyung made gh more visible to the world because they are with Kim Taehyung? So shut up already about using black people as back ups to a singer who is not black?
I can see where you are coming from but I think you are reading his sincerity for his music in such a bad light because of your personal feelings on who he wanted to work with. It's true that there probably are other people he could work with but i think as his audience is a global one, you'll find that people (and the singers themselves) were more grateful with his choices on who he would work with. Of course you can have your opinion but I think it would be nice for you to get to know the artists a little better before dropping judgement expecially when it comes to topics as nuanced as the one you brought up. I think one thing though is, to be completely frank, if he decided not to work with these other artists, haters would use it as fodder to hate on him too. BTS receieves a lot of love but also an awful amount of hate even for the littlest things. Considering the genre, if he chose to work purely with an asian band, there would be a hate campaign on how he didn't respect the pioneers or whatever. I doubt he chose who to work with because of this but as a fan who has seen it happen time and time again, I am happy he chose to work with people he believes will bring his song to life the way he hoped for it to be. If anything, BTS members show the uttmost respect to their music, so as a fan I have to say I'm put off with how you chose to frame this performance. I understand what you're pointing out but as someone who has followed BTS, I assure you, who they work with does NOT stem from aesthetics but from who they believe is the right person for the job. I hope you take the time to get to know them better. Thanks for the reaction.
Hello, I wish I could say I enjoyed your reaction, but I stopped watching at 5:58, May I Just Say This, (IF The Band FELT LIKE THEY WERE STEREOTYPED THEY WOULDN’T HAVE WORKED WITH V!!! ) Unless Your Saying The Band Members CAN’T Speak For Themselves!! THEY ALL AGREED TO WORK WITH V. So I GUESS I AM SAYING IS THAT THEY THEMSELVES DIDN’T FEEL THE STIGMA YOUR REFERRING TO!!
The artists loved working with V and vice versa. They call themselves Tae Crew. Uncle Momo should’ve ranted about his concerns on a different platform and not in regards to V’s mv.
@@lacrossemom I couldn’t agree more!! I think the artist that worked with V are vocal enough to State their Feelings on working with V if they were AGAINST IT, They WOULDN’T Have Done it!!
Hey Uncle Momo, though I doubt if I should call you Uncle, might be a bit older than you, but I digress. There are multitudes of reasons that V and his company chose this particular group of back up singers, band players. All of these are theories of course. It might be because he has particular respect for these particular performers, some of them, as another reactor stated, already are living in SK. There could also be the factor that as another rector mentioned Jazz is not a very famous music genre in SK, though there are some Jazz bands in SK as Le Jazz de V showed. He might have done it for inclusivity, or he was looking for a particular musical tone. I was actually hoping for an interviewer to ask him the pertinent question on the choice of musicians and support that he got for this album, and until we get that interview, it will all be speculation. Who knows it could also be as a sign of respect for the originators of this amazing music style, why he went with the preconceived international source. I respect your view that it seems too old style to be going with that track, hiw you make sure that you add your personal views on the matter, not looking to do this for clout. V did say that he wanted to give repect to the original genre and give the music and videos a nostalgic feel in one written interview, the entire theme and concept of these songs and album, so you noticing thst makes me happy because he seemed to hit the mark on that point. Again thank you for this review and commentary.
Some people don’t get what I’m talking about , so thank you for listening to what I was saying, my point was more directed at the music industry and not V
What is the point of your reaction? If you have no intention to react to the song, the singer or the production, pick another platform. Do not keep ranting about your own grievances while using the reaction as a pretext. Of course, you are free to post and I am free to block you. So disappointing. I thought you were better than that.

Here you can see a jazz performance of V with korean musicians.

They are all amazing no doubt and brilliant performances
@@MrKaibaohthank you!!!
@UNCLEMOMO backup singers comes from all skin colours though, and there's many black artists in the industry, keep in mind that this is also a man of color he isn't given the same platform as the white western artists, all of kpop artists are looked down at as well
@@MrKaibaoh Correct we know the disrespect and racist comments they've had to face even while on the 'Red' Carpet' at the Billboard Music Awards.
Thanks
I see V first take live, i'm really shock because his perpomer better than studio version
So what... He's an artist and his chooses according his feeling. That'll.
Definitely will be checking out V 👊🏾
He’s is amazing and I love his voice I hope everyone understands that
So you're bothered because this band is not all Korean? He should only be working with artists from Korea? If that's what you'd rather see then watch Le Jazz de V - that should make you happy. People are free to work with whomever they want.
No that’s not what I’m saying at all, I’m saying that this format has been used for almost 100yrs
Thank you for your insight lovely to read

The two backup ladies have worked with BTS before for their stadium concerts in the US so they've previously worked with V.
I’m so glad I read your comment many times, thank you do much for taking the time to write it respect
Just letting you know he did do a jazz bit with a fellow Korean in a previous performance. And I think in this case he chose people who he felt would bring more to his music I guess
I think just appreciate his music if you must. No need for mambo jambos.
We love V❤
Speaking of Stigma, Tae has a solo song within the group named Stigma. Check it out. Another cool reaction. 💜
I’ll check that out thank you
V did do a two song Jazz live performance with an entirely Korean band and a female Korean jazz singer... I understand what you're saying, but I love the fact that BTS and the members include people from multiple cultures and backgrounds in their music videos and performances. I don't think these singers and musicians would appreciate NOT being chosen to perform with one of the top vocalists in the world because they aren't the same ethnicity as him.
I feel that the world has a close eye on them so much that even if they smiled someone would say something about it.

His tone is so smoothing it make me feel relax
That said, back when BTS debuted years ago, they definitely did not understand the concept of cultural appropriation, but they listened to their fans, educated themselves and have been amazing role models for inclusion and cultural appreciation ever since 💜
Gee sorry for the long comment 😬 and thank you for the video!
You should have watched the whole performance to really appreciate his talent & the awesome band chemistry

May I just say I totally agree with you.!! Also DID HE FORGET That The Band Wanted to and Choose to Work with V.!!
So What Your Saying is if SINGING BACKUP VOCALS FOR A TALENTED SINGER Such as V
( Both The Singers Choice and The Backing Vocals Choice )
They shouldnt Purse Their Dreams as Artists because THEIR SKIN COLOR IS DIFFERENT !!

Of I will take the time to know him he is amazing singer, thank you very much for your comment
If still don't react to V's stage mix song Singularity please please do so. Thanks for your reaction.

Please react to RM Tinydesk, V's bandmember.
Its 3 songs, one with Erykah Badu and one with Anderson Paak. With a jazzy/soulfull Korean band 👌👌🔥🔥💜💜
What is the point of your reaction?
If you have no intention to react to the song, the singer or the production, pick another platform.
Do not keep ranting about your own grievances while using the reaction as a pretext.
Of course, you are free to post and I am free to block you.
So disappointing. I thought you were better than that.
A lot of people don’t get what I’m saying but that’s okay
@@UNCLEMOMO We get it. We just want you to stfu about it lol
I shall also be blocking him, his comments racist and disrespectful to the artists.
@@UNCLEMOMOYou come across as racist against people who are not black…well..V can choose who he wants to be in his band regardless of race…and these backup singers and band members willingly accepted the offer to play for V for this Tiny Desk performance…I am sure they respect each other as musicians..Also…Working with V …being famous…will give them more recognition and future opportunities…It is all good, positive ..why do you have to push your negative racist rant when it is not needed at all?..🤨
@@rubyarmy4 it does sound like that but honestly it wasn’t meant that way. I hope people will understand that my comment was directed at the music industry itself and not the individual
Please stop!! This wasn’t the reaction I was expecting. It turned out to be a dissertation about race. Why are you coming after V and his choice of people to perform with him?
I wasn’t talking about V
@@UNCLEMOMO Yet you tried to make your point on his video, so as viewers that’s what we perceived.
No entendiste la idea de v deberias a ver esperado a ver y conocer un poco fe el y entenderás
Why do you have to introduce racism here?
What are you talking about?
Talk too much..imho.
I’ve been told many times lol
