If it is mrsa caused by your folicilitis I would recommend not sharing clothes trying on clothes and washing your hands good after touching the area. You are contagious for the first few days. I would also follow up with a dermatologist once the antibiotic is gone because you may need a second dose.
I wholeheartedly agree especially if it is MRSA. The Dr. can do a nose swab in order to find out for sure. Don’t share clothes, towels, razors, drinks, straws, etc. Also, try not to touch your face. I have a long history of MRSA due to an extensive medical history. The bacterial/Staph infection lies dormant in between flare-ups. I’ve had to be treated with IV antibiotics. Can be quite contagious. Best wishes, Emma.
Oh my goodness Emma I feel so bad for you, but I hope everything will go well and I hope you get better much love. I’m glad you had a good day with your sis.
I worked in healthcare. Most ppl carry mrsa, i think like one in three ppl are mrsa carriers. Read up on it .Good luck. I I hope your treatment works 💪 .Thank gosh You went to the doctor . 😊😊😊
That is true, it gets better and not as painful, as far as I know. Ive been thankful to never get it, but a few of my brothers get it at least once a year then it clears up. Be very cautious and I hope you feel better!
I had mrsa when i was a 8 and im now 20. I’ve had a few bumps come up before but it’s not common at all. I haven’t seen a bump in years!! Just make sure you don’t touch them at all bc they can spread, and don’t shave that area until the bumps are completely gone!
thats how my eczema gets sometimes, mine is very stress induced. when i deal with stress or anxiety i just start aggressively itching my body and i get those bumps and scabs all over. it was way worse when i was a kid, its only occasionally bad now. the sun or even a tanning booth really help me.
It’s most likely a staph infection. Spreads and itches like crazy. You can get a culture of it to make sure, but this can definitely happen after shaving because we all have staph on our bodies but if it gets into the cut it can easily spread. Look into using a tea tree soap to prevent staph infections and use Lysol laundry sanitizer for a while until you’re better follow directions on back of bottle. If someone has it and tries on clothing and then you try it on and you have an open cut you can get it this way.
It typically is MRSA Folliculitis. MRSA is generally what they refer to it at the start once it's been there a bit they refer to it more as Folliculitis. It's definitely common either way.
The day with your sister is so nice to see. I really enjoyed it. I 'd never diagnose someone else's kid and that's certainly not what I'm intending to do here . I will say tho I do hope that Emma is able to get a clarification by the Doctor by what was said to her in the office and what the portal says. MRSA can cause Folliculitis. I hope Emma feels better soon.
i was looking at it and it definitely looks like MRSA. i had it last year and that’s what it looked like on me. the bad part about it is that once you have it, you’ll always be a carrier. folliculitis could be the start of MRSA so the reason she gave you that medicine was to kill the MRSA bacteria growing.
Folliculitis is caused by a bacteria called staph aureus. MRSA just refers to the bacteria being resistant to many antibiotics except for ones like bactrim which you’re on!
You have MRSA. MRSA can cause folliculitis. That’s just the medical term for inflammation of the hair follicles. This is highly contagious. A swab of one of the sores can be done to confirm if it’s being caused by MRSA for sure.
Emma you should see a rheumatologist and get tested for an autoimmune disease! Getting sick all the time and weird rashes/colds/stomach pains could definitely be why you keep getting sick, I’m 20 and was diagnosed at 17. They are more common than you think!
i had this exact thing over the summer! the itching was soooo awful. every test was negative, but they just deemed it as a staph infection. the worst part was it was 2 weeks before a cruise, and it spread to my face 🙃.
hey girl, just an FYI, i have MRSA, got it first when i was 17 from shaving. started off as a boyle, so it looks different than yours, but as long as you clean your razor and exfoliate after you shave, you’ll be golden 🥰💙
i am dealing with this exact skin issue and just had a dermatology appointment yesterday for it because i have also had eczema since i can remember and I was prescribed medication an ointment and cream. Hopefully that helps before it spreads more.
Folliculitis is just inflammation of the hair follicles. Meaning you have that inflammation caused my the methicinillin resistant staph aureus. - nurse emma!! I have it too. It’s not fun, but it is manageable.
You and you're sis lookin chill together ❤Good luck with the Eczema Emma, I have dealt with that before, just scrub it with organic soap as much as possible, and should go away in a few weeks.
Start taking Sambucol black elderberry gummies and get new razors before shaving your legs and all other areas try replacing every few weeks and always shave with water and shave cream in the shower
i would definitely go to a dermatologist and see what they think if it does not get better, my brother has mersa its kinda like a blood infection that stay in your system and will never go away and you would have to be super careful when he had flare us because of how contagious it is and the bumps would look Pusey and to me it doesnt resemble mersa at all!! i hope it gets better and its just something small
Try not to worry. My mom had mrsa when she was in her late 20s…she’s now 54 and has never had it again. I also can’t read side effects on medications unless I’m feeling actual side effects because you can literally make yourself feel the side effects if you’re scared of them. So just be careful. Research is good but if your like me and suffer with anxiety…especially health related anxiety than too much research is so bad
Good morning Emma and Ellie how are you girls this morning I am having a awesome morning watching you girls this morning Emma and Ellie I hope you girls have a wonderful day love you guys so much ❤
Look into a good grade castor oil in a dark bottle . Should help with scarring and maybe even drawing out the infection. Just a thought!! Praying for you Emma.
I have terrible eczema now in my hair I feel burning and I need to see the dr for it to see what it is exactly is need to see a dermatologist myself not alone Emma
I swear we are so similar 😭😭 I actually do have MRSA and I just had an outbreak. It’s not fun but a doctor gave it to me for touching my wound without putting in gloves

Unfortunately, MRSA is with you forever. However, it will not always be visible. What you are going through now, may never happen again. Disclaimer: not medical advice, only the experiences of my nephew. Also, I believe MRSA is spread by contact. Definitely avoid touching as much as possible and don't let others touch either.
She could have got got anther set of clothes bring two sets of clothes its a good idea to bring more in case something happens a drink gets all over you its a good idea in its great that you both spend time together
If it is mrsa caused by your folicilitis I would recommend not sharing clothes trying on clothes and washing your hands good after touching the area. You are contagious for the first few days. That is true, it gets better and not as painful, as far as I know. Ive been thankful to never get it, but a few of my brothers get it at least once a year then it clears up. Be very cautious and I hope you feel better!
