Hello world this is Episode 4 of GooeyPLAYS Godus: Tips & Tricks. In this video I'd like to cover the Astari a little more as I've had a lot of questions about them recently. I briefly cover who the Astari are, where to find the Astari Village (AstariVille) and also what to do about homeless Astari who may be making your followers unhappy. The main purpose of this video is to show you how to kill the Astari and how to destroy AstariVille. (Thanks IronCladPaladin for the info)

I just meteor'd them, only one tree got set on fire but a dumb astarian touched it and then lit everything on fire.

I’ve essentially beaten this game once before and killed the arastari people way too soon. I’m giving it another go and have decided to recruit every single astari and segregate them in an island I have created and separated from the rest of the land lmao 😂

The worst part is that after reading the complete story I realized the Astari were the narrators people. And like, i didn’t even mean to kill them

I'm not gonna genocide them. I'm gonna convert them all to my side. Atm my stats are 4 of mine converted to astari and 89 astari converted to me.
I've already killed a lot of them, but thats a good idea. I will just ruin their land and burn down everything and meteor them and they'll come around. *evil laugh*

I used the Astari and never killed them. If you see them sad and read the info it will say "waiting to be leashed". Instead of waiting for the next farmer, miner or builder, leash the Astari to the settlement. Once you have given them a job, they become productive citizens. I never killed any of them, but found them quite useful.

Simple. Before a week after I started the game, I murdered them all. The trick was to swamp around the big settlement, and drop meteors to lure them out to take out the fire. Just watch them for like 15 minutes, every once in a while, they would walk out, dance while they sink to their doom. :)
Made a few swamps around the entrances of the buildings, used god hand on the buildings to lead them out, set fire to a few trees and stuff and then it caused a chain reaction and everyone died...
I burnt all the trees there as a test and only one survived because he got stuck in the river
It's alot easier than that I literally set 3 trees on fire and the rest set on fire

i accedently killed all of the astari people before their second or third festival (i forgot wich), i burned one of their trees at their temple with the power of the "finger of god" wich ended up spreading to the other trees and their homes, they all ended up burning, after it was over i was able to take over their village after they all died, because of this i can build the becon to get to the ark, but i need more stone to build the becon

I "accidentally" killed them all off with ONE(1) finger of god attack on a tree near their village that managed to catch an astari person on fire and he proceeded to light the entire village on fire and ultimately killed all of them off.... Pure luck I guess.

I killed the astari as soon as I got the meteor, And there are none left, I hope some of my villagers go and reproduce there cause I only wanted to kill some of them and ended up killing all of them...
also the only reason some all of them died were I set the side houses on fire, the astari ran out, and caught the center astari on fire
I killed them all deliberately. I don't know if you can get the Astari back once they're all dead but you can populate it with your own guys, apparently!

After I killed (most) them, I felt so bad, since the ones left were like so sad looking.
I spent 100k belief to kill them.
And another 100k to bring them to mediem happy. (They were at lowest, I destroyed basicly everything...)

I spent 6k belief killing them.. just one meteor did the trick. Felt so bad. I didn't think it would kill them all, I just wanted them to suffer.
Fire worked better for me and was much cheaper. Keep up that great videos! This game confuses me at times, but I'm hooked. :)
A few minutes before the festival, I used the swamp power right outside their temple door and set the near trees on fire and they started coming out then getting caught on fire and their happiness dropped like crazy. After the festival, they were all on my side.

I restarted my game just to see what would happen when my civilization reached the astari. Im still not there yet, though, and great vid!
You can actually make all the Astari people convert and join your people all at once. Before I knew this I tried killing them too. I kept building abodes around their territory then I attacked them until their happiness had dropped 100% and my happiness was above theirs(I didn't want to kill them I just wanted them sad) then I let the rest of them. I logged off the game for a few hours and when I came back I got a message that all the Astair people have converted and now we all live as one in my world. Just in case anybody wants a bigger, more diverse world.
at least you were able to show me that the main building couldnt be destroyed. I always thought it could.

killed them all with 1 metior by doing it during their festival as they all come out then. used 1 gem to fill a builders house then expanded from there. :)

I found out you could do this today and I'm so glad I did.
You can also use finger of god to set the building and tress on fire, it causes a chain reaction. It also keeps the houses in tact making it so your followers spawn there
I feel bad to see them dying. I have read full the story about them from chest box. And i love to hear their national anthem "Astariii~ Astari~"

You could’ve just used the finger of god and used it to light the trees near their main village building and as they come out in 2s and 3s use the finger of god to smash them. It’s a lot cheaper.
Bruhh the moment i found their village i used the finger of god to burn one tree.. it spread to others and the astaris came out to check.. one astari caught fire and soon all of them caught fire.they were running around all over the village.. it was like a tsunami of Burning People..
And All of them died..

I just caught a tree on fire and used finger of god to crush them all one by one. I only had a population of 500 so it isn’t difficult to do it early game, and finger of god at maximum costs 30k or so to completely decimate them. Then just fill the main house and the land is yours… very cool

@jay 1 it is the alternative solution of the astari problem when you don’t have meteor
keep the main building as it has space for 22ish farmers
What I do is I set something on fire, one thing then set swamps in front of yhe doorway. then slowly watch them perish.
I just did it with godhinger...
I burnt a tree they came out and I burnt them too... It's cheaper...
I set a tree on fire and watched it spread. It then killed everyone and I settled in the village early on which was a nice host in development.

You don't have to spend 400k belief to wipe them all out! All it takes is a single strike (and some patience!).
I killed the Astari with a single meteor strike as soon as I got it (ie. they only held one festival before I got them). I didn't really expect them all to die, but the fire spread and somehow all but one were killed. The remaining one I had to lure out and squish with the finger of god (before the meteor, you can use this to kill them as they exit the main building which they do when you touch the buildings around with the finger).
Then I filled the buildings up with my people using my gems and got all their structures- the main one is a sweet farm building and can house 22 farmers- this is huge in the beginning stages!
I only used the swamp in front of there doors and some finger of gods to burn the trees so they come out there houses and they try to put the fire down. they only sink to the bottom of the swamp and the village stays intact.
i just set fire too the trees in the back of the main building with the finger of god and the the fire spread and ALL of them died within like a minute
I set fire to the trees and a couple houses and boom they all died. I hadn’t even gotten half way through the first island yet. I used a gem to repopulate a house there and my farming became OP.
I played this game once. Made swamps outside the doors to their buildings, then started a fire. They rushed to put out the fire only to drown in a swamp.
Can please tell me how to create rivers? (e.g: the river that surrounds Astariville)
How do you keep your people happy? My people are like devastated for no reason and there seems to be nothing I can do about it
With the gift card.! There's a founten it cost like 20 dimond at first and avery hr tht you prest for like a mini festival it will rise the happynes of the people.!
I upgraded the meteor ability and killed them all at once in my first day playing.

I used one meteor, they all got out and burned, and then since i had nothing there and since all the abodes and stuff were still there, i used 1 gem to fill an abode and then i got the whole city for myself, but can't beacon expand since i don't have ore now

you can actually use the finger of God on the trees outside of the little circle of the city the fire spreads to the trees on the inside and the houses killing them it takes a lot longer for them to die but its a lot cheaper

I killed all my Astari, but now I missed them or their challenges with the happiness bar. 😞
I just set everything on fire. Haven’t even made two expansions yet and I killed them. I think I was too early. The game glitches and gave me a bunch of cards and stuff, (but no stickers). I miss them. The world feels too empty. I suppose I better just get on with the expansion so I can have astari again.

One time, I set a tree on fire in Astariville.
100-300 of them died before I kept it under control.
are you playing on mobile or PC cause the counter for Cornfields ends with me on 75 not 130.
I have allot of astatine in my village who are homeless. How do I give them homes?
If you want to destroy them and take over the village, all you need to do is hit the main building with one meteor and then hit one of the abodes with one (you may only need the first meteor, not sure though). Then wait for them to die off and select one of the remaining abodes and (if you have a couple gems to spare) use the "fill" option. This will give you a follower from that building, then you can just develop the area from there. Don't destroy the big settlement, because eventually it will produce farmers that you can use. Soon you will have a nice little isolated town that you can later reunite with the rest of your followers once you build all the beacons leading to it. Plus, you'll be rid of those pesky Astari. Oh, and obviously you want to beautify all the swamp land once you have control of Astariville, so your followers wont keep dying in that area.
+IronCladPaladin you can destroy the main building I don't think I hit it enough. In Episode 6 I destroyed it with 3 finger of god attacks, Gooey.
You don't need to destroy the main building! As soon as there are no astari left, it become a large settlement with Astari followers.
I destroyed it wit maybe 1 or 2 finger of god attacks...first time i just destroyed individuals second time i lit a few trees on fire and it eventually destroyed the whole village.

For easy happiness, use beautify on houses, or rain of purity on all your trees, until it gets filled
Right now I tried to burn a tree in astari village and the fire spread burning the whole village and people, to the point that now the town is mine had I can use my powers there too.
It says i have about 20of the astari become follower however I can only find one can some one tell me how can I get rest of 19
I literally just put one house and a tree in fire and after a couple of minutes the were dead
I kinda regretted killing them because they never came back and I didn’t really know what I was doing then 😂

the easiest way is wait until the astari festival, and when all the people is out of the main building you lauch a meteor. with that you kill all astari with one meteor
Yoou can just set fire to the trees behind the main bulding and they die slower but for much cheaper
All you gotta do is set stuff on fire then they end up setting each other on fire and then set the houses on fire. You don’t have to use the meteor strike that’s using extra belief

I once launched a meteorite (only one) and killed everyone in astariville
I'm not sure it's due to an update or pure luck but I was able to wipe out all of them with two meteors alone. I aimed the first at the trees surrounding the area then the next at the settlement itself. When the Astari ran out, they instantly caught fire. I had to wait a minute and watch them die (I was afraid if I flipped away they would go back to the settlement with no effect) but they all ran outside and caught each other on fire before dying off. Again, not sure if it was impossible before and only now can be achieved but I only spent 12k belief to wipe them out.
I used 1 and it just need time and you can populate followers by filling them up with gems so don’t destroy the buildings and if u want fiery trees use finger of god and I have 1200 pop. in just 4 days and now you can do EVERYTHING there just like your territory you can collect BELIEF and DO NOT DESTROY the MAIN BUILDING it is the most USEFUL one.
Is the pc version more in depth than on the mac
how can I use the Astari territory if it's burned?
I used the "finger of god" on a few trees, in their attempts to put out the fires, they caught fire, all 250 residents burned to death trying to help each other, so I moved in and took their houses

I killed them with just one Meteor and burning them in the entrance of the main building with god finger attacks, i only used 10k...
If you hadn’t killed them and you got one of your people into they’re town then you could have taken it over and they would have had a celebration, it’s rly cool

Did you know that if you place shrine of harvest in the astari village you will collect all of there weat and if you place a shrine of speed thay work faster you can youse them in stead of killing them

U can also use finger of god if you've just begun playing
From what I remember you need to unlock the finger of god card. You'll likely get it when you've reaced a certain populaion or completed another task, you can check in the Card Deck in the top left

I dropped the astari too low in pop. IT IS SO FRUSTURATING! In festivals they won't come out into the swamp I put to make them unhappy and then they end up getting my followers if I don't waste a meteor. and I can't really afford them. Their pop is at 17 and each festival I am dropping them by 1.
gerpar250 Finger of god will destoy AstariVille. Destroy all building even the large one this should kill them all and they don't come back, at least not for me yet anyway...
GooeyPLAYSinHD Yeah I got them. The way I did it was that when they had the patrol groups I would finger of god them.
You can use the rain thing to make the swamp go away, or the beautify thing

Okay so basically he plays this game like a 5 year old, it is extremely simple to keep your happiness above the astari, and then you are benefited by getting astari followers. Once you expand to them you can just convert them. Also you get the learn their history in the chest ciphers.
I think I killed the astari too early. I didnt have meteor at that time so I spent 6k worth of belief for finger of god to wipe out the astari

i know you guys wont belive i just killed all of tem with a fire on a tree i did not know they wear dieying becoz fire was moving tree to tree and that also got them dead
I was so sad after i when I killed them, but luckily my happen what above there's, for a while before that, so some astari did survive as my people. And I made sure the astari always survived, in some way after that
its cheeper to use finger of god to kill all lol, I killed all till they went to 0 :) the astari face on the happiness bar disappeared forever :D
Absolutely I put up swamps all around the village too. Then picked them off one by one as they harassed my followers. No more astari. And the happiness bar is useless I just use beautify to keep it up.
No need to use meteors, make sure there is no rain and use finger of god to burn 3 ~ 5 trees in the trees ring, interesting thing will happen and then all the astaris dead, then use 1 diamond to fill the Astariville and it become yours
More effective and cheaper way is swamps , put around the temple and they will die at festivals and lower astari belief
I killed all of the astral by just using the finger of god and light the trees on fire
During their festival I set their trees and people on fire.... Just a few taps and everyone was running around on fire.... Its slower but much more entertaining.
I felt horrible during the middle of it and ended up putting them out with rain. I felt like such a douche
After watching you, I ended up using the finger of God on the trees. Faster,cheaper,bye bye. But I need advice? My ppls happiness is nearly none! What are cheapest ways to please them? I still haven't gotten my card to beautify. That may help? Ik the purifying rain and trees help. Other than that we celebrate.im open to suggestions?
