sit on kayaks to me are much easier to handle getting on and off even in deep water and no pumping needed !! Thanks for showing the difficulty sit in kayaks are and for sharing all your adventures.
Dude !!!!!!!!! that was funny with flipping the Yak. At least you had some fun. And now you know how to get back in. Another great episode. Keep them coming........
Hey George! Just finished watching one of your videos. Yea, funny indeed. I enjoyed the challenge even if it made me look a little foolish for not knowing how lol. I'll keep them coming bud!
I love your videos. I loved your roll overs and several attempts at a recovery. I loved watching you eating crab and your repeated comments, "This is a big piece" and then spitting out a piece of the shell. I loved your finale dancing while packing your gear. You are a joy to watch and have an amazing talent. Thank you. Oreline
Thanks Sweeney! They certainly were attempts lol I get pretty excited over the little things, and I really enjoy it all! Thanks so much for the great comment Oreline! Very much appreciated!
You had my wife and kids just rolling when you were trying to do your roll over and your smooth moves dancing!! Glad you have fun doing what you do we love it from MN!!
Haha! That's awesome! I hope there was still some fat lightered there for ya. I found a big piece and only used a tiny bit of it. It's some great paradise yall have down there!
Several suggestions Trip. You can always install a flush mount rod holder to the back of ya and drag a baited line while paddling. " trolling". Practice your wet re entries before your rolls. Watching and doing it, is totally different. As the saying goes...... practice makes perfect. You're right, when in deeper water and don't know what to do, you're screwed! Carry a little hand held umbrella with ya to catch the wind in the direction that you're going, saves ya from paddling. For Gods sake invest in some dance lessons will ya??!! Lmao! GREAT VIDEO!!! and thx for another funny adventure! Cheers!
Hey Keith, glad you enjoyed the video! Dance lessons? I took ballroom dance in college! And aerobic dance to! lol Seriously I did (apparently didn't learn much) I've thought about the rod holder..... I need to just go ahead and do that. I've actually done wet re entries before and didn't have an issue, of course that was with the yak empty vs half full of water. I've got a good buddy who has offered to teach me to roll. Handheld umbrella, lol great tip! Thanks for watching and the great comment Keith!
If you install a flush mount rod holder, beware of brands. They are supposed to be sealed, but some take on water. That might no be a big deal on the average day, but if you are in chop or bad weather, you'd be surprised how much water can accumulate and how quickly. If you don't bail it, in a couple of bad weather hours, it will be like pushing a tank uphill!
Even though this is an old vid, I know your busy so I haven't seen this one so now I'm watching it... you would think these would be boring, but good ol trip is super interesting... so I'm glad your vids are 50 minutes long.. very great quality vids..
Lol Glad they aren't boring to you man! I try to make them interesting for the whole video. I try to make videos that I would enjoy watching and I don't like boring parts either..... Thanks for the awesome comment Chase!
Yet another awesome adventure. Looked like total fun. I'm sort of speechless about all the dance moves at the end. After the rolling practice on the yak you comeback with all that rhythm? Who would have known?
that rolling and re entry was hilarious. dear god please please please go do a kayaking course because if you get into trouble out there by yourself at the moment you're dead. but great stuff keep up the good work. Very funny stuff
ok. not to sound creepy, but ive probably seen all your videos a few times so far lol. your great and hilarious. by far this is one of my favorites. had me rolling laughing several times!!!
Lol That's not creepy at all. Glad you enjoy them so much. I like to be silly I guess, this was one of my favorite trips as well. It was laid back and easy.
hey man I really enjoy your videos I love kayaking myself mostly for fishing love fishing on the islands in daytona but love to see the places to go and hopefully going in the future thanks for sharing.
that's awesome your doing work like that keep the awesome videos coming I'm actually planning my first kayak camping trip next weekend going 7 miles down the broad river to a recreational campsite good times
Really enjoyed this one. You mentioned "I see rays when crabbing and crabs when hunting rays." Suggestion: Marry the two hunting implements...spear net. Prongs on one end, net on other end.
Thanks fly! Hmmmm interesting suggestion.... I'd be worried about spearing myself when chasing a crab down and I stumble over something... I'm sure there would be tons of people saying how dangerous it is and I would probably have to agree. THanks for the suggestion though!
hey Trip, if you ever get caught out with out your under quilt again, try to tighten up your hammock and drop it down low to the ground so when you lay in it you are only a few inches off the ground, it can be a little awkward at first, but it will keep you warmer, thanks for the videos, I can't wait to head out on my own kayak adventure!
Thanks for the laughs while watching you try to reenter the kayak! I really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to another river trip video. I only kayak a river in central Indiana. Haven't tried an overnight trip yet though.
Glad you enjoyed it Putt! I'm looking forward to the rivers as well. Go for it! Overnight brings it to a whole new level, but not a harder level, just a new level of enjoyment!
man you are an inspiration to my kayak camping adventures. watched many of you're videos and they all have great tips. I live in Tuscaloosa AL. thank you for taking your time to make these videos, they have been a lot of help. plan on going to this spot as well. keep it up. paddle life!
You are sooooo hysterical and entertaining!! Man I needed that! Especially knowing I have to get up soon and go to work...haha. I'm so afraid of rolling my kayak....some of them make it look so easy on videos and I'm like WHUUT?? No way! Thanks for doing what you're doing Trip and sharing it with the rest of us:) You are my FAV!!!
Its all about experience. No one learns to paddle like that over night! My father had me kayaking (well canoeing back then) since I could walk, and I'm still learning and I'm in my early 50s. Every place you paddle is slightly different. Sometimes you take waves in the face all day and other days its like floating on glass. Its all about learning and experiencing a couple of good failures because they teach the most!
Haha! So happy to hear that you enjoyed that Rachelle! It's definitely tougher than it looks... I imagine some training and it wouldn't be as hard though, surely right? You are very welcome! Sorry I didn't reply to your comment earlier... Missed it somehow..... THANKS A TON!!!!
love your videos man, me my brothers going on our first kayak trip in 3 weeks down the river shannon in ireland, we got loads of tips just from watching you thanks so much keep the videos coming
Such an awesome video once again :) Just what I needed at the end of a long work day. I've been hitting that refresh button already hard on your channel. Loved the dancing bit in the end as well haha
Thanks Nico!!!! Glad it could make your rough day a little easier. The dancing was fun! I do it even when the camera isn't rolling. I was dancing around the campsite jamming out and thought "I need to film this!" (headed to Patreon to reply in a moment ;))
It would be fun to do something with Shug for sure. I'd love to just hang out in his "circus" shop or whatever it is. Maybe we will get together sometime in the future....
where did you go set up camp, was it with a camp site or did you just randomly found a private spot? I am looking at going camping here and wanted the gulf view.
Hey Alexis! The campsites at the park are designated sites and most are only accessible via kayak. I had to stop by the park office and reserve the spot for a few bucks and it was mine for the 2 nights. As for a gulf view, I don't believe there are any spots on the gulf side.... They do have an RV campground that is pretty close to the gulf but that's probably not what you are looking for. The sound side is really pretty nice to look at though one of my favorites. The park rangers are pretty helpful and are happy to chat with you on the phone about it (that's how you reserve your campsite in advanced anyhow)
Love the Cape! We were just there for spring break. What month did you shoot this? We didn't see blue crabs but we did see a cottonmouth on the beach! Thanks!
+John Felkins Looks like it was September. I was in Panama City yesterday looking around for crabs on the Kahuna and didn't see any either. Must be seasonal? I need to find out. Glad you were able to spend some time there!
If you add a paddle bag to your safety equipment. It's a bag you inflate on the end of you paddle that acts like a pontoon to assist in climbing back into your kayak. Atwood makes one that you can get for less than $20. I don't go on the water without mine.
Man it was fun to watch you with the re-entry attempts. my first time trying that it was in freezing temps in a fast flowing river, not so much fun lol. You crack me up, always an adventure right?
Haha! Glad you liked it Chris! I imagine that would be pretty exciting in freezing water, would make for some fun video lol Always and Adventure my man! Always! Thanks for the comment bud.
Great trip, Trip! Rolling can be a pain... Just remember the happy Gilmore quote, "it's all in the hips" but it's fun to watch it fail. I'm waiting for my wife and I's new kayaks to come in then we are going to paddle out and camp on Cumberland island, sc. Wanted to get a boat with dry hatches before attempting that else the waves would soak our gear. I was curious where we can get a SnS shirt like you had; looked on Amazon store and didn't see it. We appreciate your videos; fun to watch and nice encouragement to leave the couch.
Appreciate that Justin. Ha, yea I remember that line, maybe I should try to get into my happy place as well? New yaks in the mail? What a great feeling lol What did the two of you go for? The bonuses of having your gear secure in a dry compartment. I wouldn't want to have to digging in dry bags every time I wanted something. That's a big reason I like the Sit Insides although some SOT's have them as well. The shirts? I guess I should make myself a little more clear - They are at S&S.com at the S&S Gear page, here ya go - sailingandsuch.com/shop/ I appreciate you both watching and glad to hear they were good motivation to get out there!
We picked the Jackson Traverse kayak because we are getting into doing whitewater but this can carry camping gear and still do well on calm water (and hopefully ocean, we will see ha). Probably slower than a real touring kayak but we are in no hurry.
Just found ye chnl mate.. Really enjoyed the video..wow what a place to camp👌🏽 loved the humour, loved the honesty, looking forward to catching up on ye vids and picking up some kayak camping tips along the way.. Cheers. ATB - Marcus
I've thought about that Rodney... But then I didn't want to worry about bringing them along and packing them. I actually brought some the first time I went to the bay and didn't need them so I figured I wouldn't worry with losing the space....
Yet another great video! Where did you get the pronged spear you were hunting the stingrays with? I'm looking to buy or make one for myself for my own adventures:)
Thanks Jack! I got it years ago from Amazon. If I had to do it again I probably would buy one that breaks down into a few pieces and screws together to make it easier to store in the yak. Just looked on Amazon and there are several break down pole spears on there. Not really sure about making one.... Probably doable.
Why did you park so far away from the campsite ? Did they not have somewhere closer to park and launch ?? You could have just stealth camped ?? I'm planning a trip down there and don't want to have to paddle 7 miles to a remote campsite ?!?!? Any advice ?
I parked as close as they allow you to. They do have several campsites that I passed while paddling out to the one I stayed at. I chose to stay at the furthest one for the most isolation. The closest on is more like 2 miles or something. Give the park a call and they will fill you in ;) Have fun Out There!!!!
Enjoyed the video! That is one of my favorite places on earth, like home to me. We usually stay in Indian Pass but go to the Cape for icecream scalloping, and fishing. I will say it is 10x easier getting back in a SOT kayak like the Jackson Kraken or Cuda. Much more stable and they're self bailing with scupper holes. Keep up the fun work man, really enjoy the videos!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it! It's gorgeous!!! I agree, they are easier to get into lol I'll keep the camera rolling! I try to watch out for them... little rascals....
I learned rollover technique before I even bought my kayak, went to a training day at my local watersports centre. Practiced with an instructor in a big outdoor pool, its really easy to get the basics down when you have someone there to show you where your going wrong, might be worth a try even for an experienced paddler like yourself. Also im dying of envy of that Gulf weather, I need to get out there sometime! Looks like so much more fun in the sun.
Yea I'd love to do something like that. I plan on getting some instruction sometime in the future. I'd like to take a few classes and then I would have lots more info to share here on TH-cam. The Gulf is certainly a treasure.... Nothing like fun in the sun! Make it happen, get down here!
~6500km transatlantic journey for me im afraid, ill get there eventually, Stuck in rainy Scotland with peak temperatures of about 25C (70ishF I think). :D
Hehe indeed its a short season of it really being enjoyable. you can catch some nice salmon in one of my local lochs though. Good luck by the way I hear you guys have a big storm on the way.
I'd love to catch some big salmon! Yea, there is quite a storm doing some havoc at the moment but luckily where I am it's not affecting us.... I feel for the people who are affected though.
I really liked you section on flipping your kayak and I loved the fact that you showed how hard it is to get back into a sea / touring kayak. Now take into account how much energy you expended while trying to get back in and think about how much more would have been needed in water over your head and say 60 degrees or cooler. You need a paddle float they are cheap and turn your paddle into an outrigger allowing you to get in on the first try when in water over your head. Every year someone is killed in my area (Chesapeake Bay) because they run out of energy in deep water and just can't get back into their boat, then they drown or die from exposure. Way too many people, me included when I started out, have no idea just how dangerous kayaking can be. They think no motor, cheap boat, they sell them at Wal-Mart that makes them kids stuff right? I can tell you I live in an area that has more waterways than roadways so everyone owns some sort of boat and more people are killed in kayaks and small non powered boats than larger rec (skiing / fishing) power boats each year round my way. Trip think about this, your kayak is MUCH harder to get back into when loaded down with camping gear, in water over your head with a little bit of wave action rolling. Buy a paddle float and practice getting back in when loaded in deep ruff water (with a friend as a safety observer) I want to see you keep making videos I really like them your one of my fav You Tubers and This was is great video to show people how hard kayak re-entry can be. It's not if your going to flip your kayak, it's when. Cause if you kayak enough you will flip at a time and place that is less than ideal at some point or another. I was with a friend who is an excellent swimmer but new to kayaking who almost drowned last summer cause he had a small bag between his knees. He turned around to say something to me and his yak just went over, no apparent reason. the bag made a wedge between his legs and the inside cockpit of the boat. He was locked in like a wedge. The harder he tried to get out the more locked in he became. finally after a long time it seemed (I was paddling back to him like crazy to assist) he relaxed and unlodged the bag allowing him to swim out. If he had not been a former combat Marine and current Police Officer I don't know if he would have been able to calm himself down enough and rethink his issue and get out just before blacking out like he did. He said he was seconds from drowning when he got out. I'm not trying to be the safety police just trying to put some food for thought out there.
I'm going to add a paddle float to my Amazon list right now :0 Good thoughts!!!!!! You are right it's certainly "when". So glad to hear you enjoy my videos and that I'm one of your favorites! Thanks for the kind words bud. Turning turtle can be scary if you struggle getting out. I've done it some off camera on other trips and there were times that were harder to exit than others. I could only imagine being stuck. Calm clear thinking is absolutely key though for sure. Thanks for the GREAT COMMENT!
Really liked this video, very intresting to watch! You are getting better and better with filming and everything (too much windnoise perhaps, but I know It is not that easy to avoid). Keep doing your thing, its working...I already eager to see your next adventure. Stay awesome! (thumbs up)
Thanks Peter! North? I'd LOVE to come up there.... Love to.... Maybe one day my channel will grow enough to allow me to travel to more distant locations. Right now I'm still holding down a full time job and full time dad.
Trip, what watch are you wearing when you kayak? Personally I was looking at a Casio Protrek but I'm wondering if you're wearing something different or have a good suggestion for an outdoorsy watch.
I've tried the waterproof smart watch, wasn't for me. The other one is/was a Times Ironman, just a cheapo from Walmart.... Had it for a couple years but the strap broke the other day. I bought a G-Shock 7900 off Ebay for $45. There are so many watches out there I couldn't decide on one... I got this one because it has moon phases on it as well as the tides which can be pretty handy. I think it's going to be a good one. I like it so far!
I haven't figured out a way to kill them.... Several people have brought this up and I've talked with people who are familiar and no one really has and answer. I do the latter....
What brand/model is that GPS you are using? It looks like Garmin, but there are many too variations to guess. I looked at Garmins and thought about $350 was way too steep for a what I use them for about about $300 past my budget. I ended up getting a Bushnell Fish Tracker, which does all the Time, date, speed, distance, temp and route tracking at about $50. Its a child's toy compared to the Garmins, but I did get lost once and it got me back home, so it does work.
Yea, it's a Garmin. One I've had for probably 6-8 years. I think is a Map CSX or something like that... I really don't use it for what all it can do and I imagine the Bushnell would do everything I would need it to. I bought it originally for sailing.... Hadn't used it for many years before this video lol
It looks nice!!! The Bushnell I have does not have any maps and you can't put in coordinates to take you to a place, so its very limited. I would think it would be a great starter for a kid to learn on. For me, it always comes down to price and it was the cheapest I could find, that would still let me download my tracks and stuff, yet still have the most important features.
great video bud..where did you get that hat?i need one..and that is why a SOT kayak is better..you fall off it is much easier to get back on..imagine you falling into gator filled water!
Much appreciated! My favorite hat? That's easy, amzn.to/2cASQ5O That is one benefit to a SOT I agree, but not worth the trade off to me personally. Especially when I learn to roll it easily ;)
+Scott Haun I bring two RAV Power battery banks that serve me well. I've not run out yet and actually have plenty juice left when I'm done. Got them in the Amazon store. They are a must have these days!
Hey Trip, really diggin your shows. I've started a new hobby/adventures because of your shows. Thanks! What kind of GPS do you use? What kind of kayak hoist do you use in garage.
Thanks Josh, glad you enjoy the videos! Thats so cool you've started to Get Out There! I have an older Garmin Map 178 I think it is.... I'd like to get another smaller one though. Nothing fancy to hoist the kayaks at the moment, just some straps hanging under the ceiling joists lol
Fabulous spot. Well, not really sure depends on the temperatures when I get a chance to go next. Possible a place called "Holmes Creek" down in north Florida. Or either "Spring Creek" in southwest Georgia. Not really certain. I'm starting working at my home city fire department in 2 weeks so I've got to get that schedule and all figured out to see when I can take off again. I may have to do a couple of single overnights until I acrew some time off.
Hi Just wanted to say great videos keep them going Might be time for yah to but the new wilderness systems tsunami with the skeg you have some trade value with your other kayaks most shops take trades you are worth it .
Thanks for taking time to leave the comment David! I'm certainly ready for a new Wilderness Systems yak, I'm hoping for a Tempest 170 I think. Not really sure I want to trade though, I'm pretty attached to my Sealution II. I'd like to keep it as a spare if I ever take people with me or something. I'd like to work out some sort of deal with Wilderness Systems... Thanks for watching!
hey trip...lovin' it!! ps - I have a "zip tie mount" (picked up the idea from the channel "mic Bergsma" - you can attach the go pro to the end of or the shaft of your net...buddy of mine did it for turtle catching in clear water...turned out great...keep doin what you do! did my weekend trip last weekend and will post my first cobbled attempt at a video for simple documentation purposes...I have port st joe on my short list now for sure :)
Glad you like it bud. That's a good idea, mounting it on the net.... Thanks! That's great! Hope the trip went well. Have fun with the editing, just take your time and make it a video you enjoy watching. It's a great spot!
sit on kayaks to me are much easier to handle getting on and off even in deep water and no pumping needed !! Thanks for showing the difficulty sit in kayaks are and for sharing all your adventures.

Hey Sherman! Very fortunate, I agree. Glad you enjoyed it!

Yet another awesome adventure. Looked like total fun. I'm sort of speechless about all the dance moves at the end. After the rolling practice on the yak you comeback with all that rhythm? Who would have known?
Hey thanks! It was great! Speechless is good... I think. Sometimes I can be a little crazy out there. All in the fun!
Fantastic video. Love your practice of dumping the yak.
Thanks Johnson! It certainly was practice as well as evidence more is needed ;)

Watching you try to get back in the kayak was HILARIOUS 😂😂 great positive attitude
;) Glad you enjoyed that part! It was fun lol Got to have a good attitude!
Can never seem to get tired of this. Nice video again Trip! The crabs looked awesome :D

Excellent video. Looked like a great time.
Take care,
Al
It was a great time Al, glad you enjoyed it!
Another great adventure!
Thanks Bacon! Appreciate that!
hey Trip, if you ever get caught out with out your under quilt again, try to tighten up your hammock and drop it down low to the ground so when you lay in it you are only a few inches off the ground, it can be a little awkward at first, but it will keep you warmer, thanks for the videos, I can't wait to head out on my own kayak adventure!
That's pretty clever, it makes good sense. Thanks for the tip!!!! Might be pretty handy one day!

Thanks Captain! The Facebook stuff is fun. I'll keep em coming!
Great trip video, thanks for sharing. makes me miss being out on the water, have a good one
Glad you enjoyed it my man. Get yourself back out there! You have a good one as well.
Great video, I have the same problem as you when it comes to rescue skills except I kayak cold Scottish lochs & sea's. I regularly practice though.
Thanks Stephen! I couldn't imagine those freezing cold waters..... Lol
man you are an inspiration to my kayak camping adventures. watched many of you're videos and they all have great tips. I live in Tuscaloosa AL. thank you for taking your time to make these videos, they have been a lot of help. plan on going to this spot as well. keep it up. paddle life!

+Cameron Davis Thank you Cameron! Much appreciated!
Great advice Larry!
love your videos man, me my brothers going on our first kayak trip in 3 weeks down the river shannon in ireland, we got loads of tips just from watching you thanks so much keep the videos coming
Glad to hear that Stephen! Enjoy the trip with your brothers. I'll keep the camera rolling.
do you see many snakes or alligators on a trip to the coast? thx again for answering all my questions.... looking forward to your next adventure.
Don't think I've seen any yet.... Can't let them keep you from getting Out There anyhow. Go for it!!! You're very welcome!
That was an awesome spot and amazing view
Thanks for sharing it Trip🌅
It was a great spot really. You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
love cape San Blas!!
Great spot for sure!
SailingandSuch it takes so little to enjoy life and be happy :) Keep dancing, keep kajaking and keep camping!
You are right, doesn't take much! I'll keep on as long as people keep watching, commenting and sharing! Thanks!
I reckon you and the Shug should do a kayak hang out, you're both as mad as a box of frogs but pretty cool with it too.
Rob.
It would be fun to do something with Shug for sure. I'd love to just hang out in his "circus" shop or whatever it is. Maybe we will get together sometime in the future....
You did it again brother! Great vid! Will be sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate the share. Makes all the difference in the world.
where did you go set up camp, was it with a camp site or did you just randomly found a private spot?
Thanks for sharing Trip! That sure looked like a great place. Would love to get down there sometime.
Thanks for watching!!! Make it happen, you won't regret it!
Great video! Funny as heck too😂
Thanks bud!
If you add a paddle bag to your safety equipment. It's a bag you inflate on the end of you paddle that acts like a pontoon to assist in climbing back into your kayak. Atwood makes one that you can get for less than $20. I don't go on the water without mine.
Yea, that's probably something I should do... Thanks for the tip!
lol.....it's a stick......it's not a stick.....lol...... another great video bro.
Yea.... Thought I was about to see something exciting! lol Glad you enjoyed it man, thanks!
The shirts? I guess I should make myself a little more clear - They are at S&S.com at the S&S Gear page, here ya go - sailingandsuch.com/shop/
I appreciate you both watching and glad to hear they were good motivation to get out there!
We picked the Jackson Traverse kayak because we are getting into doing whitewater but this can carry camping gear and still do well on calm water (and hopefully ocean, we will see ha). Probably slower than a real touring kayak but we are in no hurry.
Oh cool! That's hardcore! I hope to get the opportunity to try some whitewater one day. Those a re great looking yaks man. Yal have fun!!!!!
Just found ye chnl mate.. Really enjoyed the video..wow what a place to camp👌🏽
loved the humour, loved the honesty, looking forward to catching up on ye vids and picking up some kayak camping tips along the way.. Cheers.
ATB - Marcus
+Woodsman ocD86 Thanks Marcus! Glad you enjoy the videos and I hope you get get some trips in as well.
Awesome trip video man! Loved it!!
Thanks Steve! Much appreciated bud!
Been waiting for this one! Awesome
Glad you enjoyed it Jason!
You sir, are a dancer! Probably gonna live longer than most
You need to get yourself some portable crab traps, have crab waiting for you in the morning...lol
I've thought about that Rodney... But then I didn't want to worry about bringing them along and packing them. I actually brought some the first time I went to the bay and didn't need them so I figured I wouldn't worry with losing the space....
The dancing is the best part gosh😂 good music taste
Haha! Yea, I'm always finding a way to have some fun ;) Glad you like the jams.
love your videos man keep up the great work, and learn to fish!!!
I'll keep em coming and try to learn to fish ;)
Yet another great video! Where did you get the pronged spear you were hunting the stingrays with? I'm looking to buy or make one for myself for my own adventures:)
Thanks Jack! I got it years ago from Amazon. If I had to do it again I probably would buy one that breaks down into a few pieces and screws together to make it easier to store in the yak. Just looked on Amazon and there are several break down pole spears on there.
Not really sure about making one.... Probably doable.
Well Done Trip!
+Kayak Eufaula Thanks!!!
Hey Trip. great video! If you ever come up to the mid atlantic you should try some Maryland steamed crabs.
Thanks George! I'd LOVE to try some, really would. Food is a big deal to me.... Love it!
I am going to a pool session next month to learn how to roll! Time to level up my skills!
Oh nice! I'd love to do something like that... Have fun!
Watch out for those sea urchins btw, it would hurt to get a bunch of spines to the head or face lol!
Wow, very cold!!!
Great video as always!
Thanks Seth!!!!
Idea , you can catch the Crabs how about making a crab stew of some kind. just a idea. Thanks for the video
Crab stew aye? Sounds tasty! May have to look into that..... Thanks for the idea! Crab stew.............
Really liked this video, very intresting to watch! You are getting better and better with filming and everything (too much windnoise perhaps, but I know It is not that easy to avoid). Keep doing your thing, its working...I already eager to see your next adventure. Stay awesome! (thumbs up)
+Magnus Persson Thanks Magnus! I try to her better and better...
I'm eager to see it as well. Thanks bud!
just subscribed! can't wait to see more content!
Awesome Braden! Thanks for the sub bud!
Great video! When are you coming north?! Hit up Michigan! Awesome rivers up here.
Thanks Peter! North? I'd LOVE to come up there.... Love to.... Maybe one day my channel will grow enough to allow me to travel to more distant locations. Right now I'm still holding down a full time job and full time dad.
yessss love the long video
;0
Lmao 🤣 I love you dude you’re awesome ! I can dooo ittt ha ha
Hello Trip: what is the camp name? Who do I need to call to make a reservation on the camp spot? Thank you
St Joseph Peninsula campground. But it was destroyed by Hurricane Michael. They're rebuilding it
Trip, what watch are you wearing when you kayak? Personally I was looking at a Casio Protrek but I'm wondering if you're wearing something different or have a good suggestion for an outdoorsy watch.
Looks like a Timex Ironman Mega watch model he wears, but I am just guessing
if i remember right its a water proof smartwatch
I've tried the waterproof smart watch, wasn't for me. The other one is/was a Times Ironman, just a cheapo from Walmart.... Had it for a couple years but the strap broke the other day. I bought a G-Shock 7900 off Ebay for $45. There are so many watches out there I couldn't decide on one... I got this one because it has moon phases on it as well as the tides which can be pretty handy.
I think it's going to be a good one. I like it so far!
Be back in 50 minutes honey. Trip's here!
;) hehe!
YOU'RE BACK!!
Yes sir!!!!
Did you kill the crab before you put them on the fire or just put them on the fire and hold them hold so they don't run off?
I haven't figured out a way to kill them.... Several people have brought this up and I've talked with people who are familiar and no one really has and answer. I do the latter....
This was your best camping spot to date.
I agree.....
Gotcha. Sounds like a good find.
great video bud..where did you get that hat?i need one..and that is why a SOT kayak is better..you fall off it is much easier to get back on..imagine you falling into gator filled water!
Much appreciated! My favorite hat? That's easy, amzn.to/2cASQ5O
That is one benefit to a SOT I agree, but not worth the trade off to me personally. Especially when I learn to roll it easily ;)
how mush battery power do you bring? between the video recording, facebook live, and the bluetooth speaker it must go quickly
+Scott Haun I bring two RAV Power battery banks that serve me well. I've not run out yet and actually have plenty juice left when I'm done. Got them in the Amazon store. They are a must have these days!
You are the best!
LOL! Thanks Vitor!
Awesome video, man!
Thanks Thomas, had a good time on that one...
You need yourself an inflatable paddle float, it makes re-entry into the kayak a whole lot easier.
Yea, I should get one and try it out.
Haha! Crab meat explosion! Great vid once again!
Yep, hate to waste any of that crab lol Glad you enjoyed it Steven, thanks for watching!
It looks like a great spot to spend a few days! Where to for the next adventure?
Great video buddy!!!
Hey man! Thanks!
yay another video
Yay indeed!
What part of S. E. Alabama do you call home ? Grew up in Foley. “ Gods Country “!!❤️
Over in Dothan ;)
hey trip...lovin' it!! ps - I have a "zip tie mount" (picked up the idea from the channel "mic Bergsma" - you can attach the go pro to the end of or the shaft of your net...buddy of mine did it for turtle catching in clear water...turned out great...keep doin what you do! did my weekend trip last weekend and will post my first cobbled attempt at a video for simple documentation purposes...I have port st joe on my short list now for sure :)
Glad you like it bud. That's a good idea, mounting it on the net.... Thanks! That's great! Hope the trip went well. Have fun with the editing, just take your time and make it a video you enjoy watching.
It's a great spot!
Hey trip it's Henry I made a fishing channel and was wondering what was the main camera you used for filming
I use the Olympus TG 860 - amzn.to/2dWjO3X
Here is my review of the camera - th-cam.com/video/_9Gkjl8Pn7Q/w-d-xo.html
SailingandSuch thank you! What editing software do you use?
