Great video! That Rainbow ride is really awesome!! I was at the Ohio State Fair several years ago and they had 2 Rainbow rides there. There was one that size that's there in your video and there was the other one that was twice the size as that small one. That ride scared the you know what out of me! It was really a tall ride and very scary!!!! Amusements of America was the provider of the rides. They had around 75 rides at the Ohio State Fair. It runs 17 days and is an awesome fair. Lots of great entertainment. I like that one you said you like. Ours is called Fireball. Anyway thanks for the upload.
The ride with the 4 arms is a "Fighter" style ride, they originated in Germany I believe, very interesting and rare to see one on any carnival or fair cycle in the States!
The Scrambler up in the air is just like that Sandstorm - as you were saying. It's a Tivoli Orbiter. I wouldn't be surprised if that Rainbow needs a separate truck crane, and that's the reason why it's one of the most expensive rides. A lot of these rides already have cranes / lifters attached to the ride already that helps them for example, lifts something like Tilt-A-Whirl cars onto the track. That Rainbow is a HUGE ride though. On top of that, there are NOT a lot of those anymore, and it's at least a 2 truck ride, if not more. Plus, didn't a Rainbow have an accident somewhere, so other parks might have taken them out because of that, so it's more in demand. Though, the Enterprise, White Water, Alpine Bobs, Fireball, Musik Express are also 2 or more truck rides.. For the Twister, that essentially is a Break Dance. You could find those rides at amusement parks like before at Kentucky Kingdom, and Six Flags Over Texas has a Cow version (Huss), but that one is much slower than this carnival version. I think this is a Fabbri version. Just by looking at the colors & the fact that they have the Rainbow + Green Zipper + Enterprise, this carnival looks like Wade Shows.
BobT2 I know it's 2 years later but maybe you can help me with a ride. It was in the eighties, it consisted of a large pole hollowed out with a track spiraling down around to the bottom. It is similar to bug out or mousetrap type with little coaster cars. The thing that made it unique was how you got to the top. Up the middle of the pipe/ pole. So when you were ascending you were on your back and it was dark and loud. Clack clack clack clack, the spiral down.
I live in Lake George. you right about the rainbow. the one at the fair was identical to the one at The Great Escape. Throwback. It's gone now replaced by a tiny 50ft drop tower. the great Escape has no good roller coasters and it's a shame.
MIKEYPOOHBEARJACKSON Yes, the fighter once travelled through german fair circuit, i think there were only two rides of this type built by a dutch manufacturer.
its hard to watch the fireball after what happend at the ohio state fair. was there today and it was packed and alot of the rides were going again which is good to see, fire ball is blocked by semi trailers and is upright still.
The difference though between the Star Trooper and the Cliffhanger is that on the Cliffhanger, you lay on your stomach. Otherwise, they're pretty similar.
rides with a celebrity images is outside of limitations what carnivals can do without lawsuits to both the motion picture company and the celebrity's permission, at least not without huge lawsuits ...
enterprise is actually endorsed by the movie so images are there for a reason ... it depends heavily on what the manufacturer of the ride has the licensing for ...
i went to a fair thingy in Ohio there was one called zipper my aunt Shannen went on it i watched her when got off she told me it was awful. cuz it went upsidedown lopping.... yea that's why i didn't go on it. I'm happy i could tell you all this😄
Lot of more unique rides here like the Musik Express (A lot of carnivals go to Himalaya because of 1 truck rides), White Water flume, Twister (at a carnival) Fighter, Enterprise, Rainbow, and Pirate. Carnivals by me, the Pirate ride are all Pharaoh's Furys. Than, you have the Kick Flip ride. That's mostly called High Roller or Hi Roller. It's a Larson ride. They are most known for the Ring of Fires. I don't like the Hi Roller ride. It's very cramped in those "cages", and it's very disorienting. It's NOT fun to me at all. Though, the Zipper I think is a great ride.
TIP: Do not eat deep fried oreo or anything similar to that before going on spinny rides like Kmg Fireball or Enterprise etc because the the consequences will teach you a lesson.
OMG! Seeing the "TRICK FLIP " brought back some bad memories. I rode on that thing maybe 20 years ago. At the Broward County Fair in Florida. I only rode it once, and that was more then enough for my life time. Prior to riding on it, there wasn't any ride at amusement parks or fairs I would not try or ride. But that "Torture Device" disguised as a fair ride looks so harmless when you watch it run. After the one and only ride I ever did on it, my Equal Librium was screwed up for 2 days. I got off and was walking like I was flat out drunk. Since then, the only rides I can and will ride are Roller coasters or free fall rides. I can't ride anything that spins, twists etc. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FORGET ABOUT WATER BOARDING FOR TORTURE OR GETTING INFORMATION. MAKE THE TERRORISTS OR THOSE YOU WANT SECRETS FROM RIDE THAT THING. THEY WILL SPILL THERE GUTS AND TELL EVERYTING THEY KNOW.
love that channel. but I dont get why (often in america) animals are used for shows, fairs, ... . you still visit sea world, etc... havn't you guys seen films like "Black Fish" or other animal rights films. i love anything related to roller coasters, but it's sad to still see animals exploitet on such events. (sorry for my bad english). still love your channel!!

I would do anything to have these kinds of rides at my fair!! These look way better than the ones we have!

The ride with the 4 arms is a "Fighter" style ride, they originated in Germany I believe, very interesting and rare to see one on any carnival or fair cycle in the States!

Our delaware state fair had one ride that i had seen on tv and it came from Europe. Then the fighter I had seen on here was at a German fair ground.
MIKEYPOOHBEARJACKSON Yes, the fighter once travelled through german fair circuit, i think there were only two rides of this type built by a dutch manufacturer.
