First time i listen this song and it is do beautiful , the lyrics is strikely our prayer and petition to our Lord our God, the songs bring us closer to Him and ask mercy for Him and its everything we long for Jesus. our God. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This was a favourite of Darren Ayling, former pastor of Wellington Central Baptist Church in Wellington, New Zealand. Darren served Wellington Central for about 12 years before burning out from doing too much for the congregation.
+Chrischi3LPs you mean in general? I don't think so. The 7 Ls of "longing", "Lord" etc. of the refrain bring this sweet longing to life. Those sounds are lacking in the german translation. "...dich zu sehn", can such a phrase be compared to: "for you to reveal yourself to us"?.
@@ranranshi I know, nice necro, but looking back, part of why i preferred the german version is probably that my towns pastor has a voice that puts many an opera singer to shame. Just take a listen: th-cam.com/video/fTF3Itlpdic/w-d-xo.html And he's not even giving it his all, not even remotely. When he does, he can easily crush a choir and an orchestra against the nearest wall. Id love to show you his performance as d'Artagnan from the time he put a 3 Musketeers musical on stage, but sadly, there doesnt seem to be any recording of it.
