The game really should have had best soundtrack, but it has too many issues to have won anything else sadly, which pains me to say as a long time Xenoblade fan!
@@GuardianAngelEatos 3? Xenoblade 3 has near to no issues. It's one of the best JRPGs of all time. I would've loved for it to win GOTY but i am ok with how it went. The soundtracks were just amazing so i hoped it would've won that.

I am married with kids, and I put myself in Noah's position when I watched this scene my first time through the game. It crushed me. The decisions he had to make after failing time and time again are unfair, and it brings nothing but despair. Yet they both linger on outside of the ether's flow. That is a perfect explanation of hope.
You and the team did an amazing job, Harry. Somewhere in the stream you asked, "Is this really a video game?" That is the feeling you get when you play all of the Xenoblade games, and I'm glad that you are a part of it. This truly is the pinnacle of story telling.
Except X maybe. But this one has other qualities.

I'm single and that cutscene even crushed me and made me cry! Chapter 5 is something else! Every single Xenoblade game has had that one scene that makes me me cry, and I don't cry easily! There aren't many games or series that have made me cry.
@@Vayne_SolidorX has a legitimately pretty good main story for the last 2 chapters, but that’s about it unfortunately. Hopefully the 100% real sequel will be better in that department.
What an amazing performance, Harry. Able to portray two completely different sides of essentially the same character. A Noah who fights until the bitter end for a world along side Mio, and a Noah who gives into the evil holding the world captive to enjoy the endless now with Mio. Very different, yet the same. This along with the ending of the game are the best performances in this entire game. You and Aimee-Ffion Edwards have joined Adam Howden, Al Weaver, and Skye Bennett as phenomenal performances of Xenoblade protagonists. Hopefully we can get more of this in the game's DLC.

@@catalyst539 Nah do not do that to my man. He struggled in the beginning due to the poor voice direction and time constraints. You can hear just how incredible he really is later on in xc2 as he eased into the role and learnt more about the world and character he was portraying. He did a great job considering all the difficulties he faced, and we should never put him down just because of a couple misjudged yells and lines

Chapter 5/6 has some of the most impactful scenes I've ever witnessed in a video game, maybe even in media in general. Thank you so much for bringing both Noah and N to life in such an amazing way.
Your performance here as well as everyone else involved was top notch and still manages to have an effect on me even after watching it a few times already.
And here it is, the part that cemented this as my Game of the Year for 2022…And that’s in no small part due to your incredible performance, Harry. Probably the BEST moment in Xenoblade 3, and it’s all in part due to your amazing acting. Noah’s desperation, N’s cruelty and the emotional payoff at the start of Chapter 6 make it a wonderful rollercoaster of storytelling. Awesome job from you and the rest of XC3’s cast!
I've wanted to say this since I first saw this scene. You absolutely killed it with both N and Noah. The scene could not have been so powerful if not for your influence. Seriously, 10/10 scene with a 10/10 voice!

3:55:37 I absolutely love that this suggestion to use Lucky Seven exists from a writing standpoint. If you think about it logically, there's no way that Lucky Seven would be able to do anything. It couldn't have extended her lifespan or made her younger or anything like that. But because the game has made you, the player, so desperate for a solution, you aren't thinking logically and just accept that it will work. Only for the game to finally cement it with "Mio's" death

I think you're right in that it would add to the despair, but given who's saying it, it doesn't make sense for that to be the intended effect (both because of Riku's friendship with Noah, as well as certain spoilers regarding Riku himself). For that to be the intended effect, it would have made more sense for N to say it.
Because Riku's the one saying it, it feels like whatever effect it was supposed to have was something else that's not really made clear

The rest were going to be executed after. Mio was done but the rest could be saved if Noah would be able to pull Lucky Seven.

Going emote only was definitely the right choice, it also was pretty fun trying to communicate using our sporadic emote language. Most fun I've had in a stream to date!
This part of the game, it's phenomenal. From the prison escape - or perhaps even from the point where you meet Ghondor - all the way to Shania's suicide. All the people who worked on and contributed to this part of the game in any way or form helped make it into something truly unforgettable. The writers, direction, animators, and certainly not the least of all, the voice actors. Absolutely stellar. I know I'm talking about a stretch of 2-3 hours or so, so it's not exactly a single "moment," but this may well be my favourite moment of storytelling in gaming.
To me, this part will always be legendary.

Man, no matter how many times I experience this sequence of events it never ceases to get to me and amaze me. The storytelling, the voice acting, the music, the animation, the framing. It's just so phenomenal. Favourite fiction series, favourite Xenoblade 3 sequence, favourite voice acting performance. Thank you Harry, you somehow elevated my favourite series to even greater heights than I thought possible. No idea how future stuff can top this, but excited regardless! Only thing I regret was not being able to catch this live and experience the live chat (even if it was mostly emotes).

Watching Harry react to his own voice acting like "I DONT REMEMBER THIS" is so great.His reaction to seeing the biggest scene in the whole game is so good. I can not wait to see his reaction to the ending cause MAN, he's in for a lot. Also him being saying "I DONT NEED ANYONE, I CAN DO THIS ALL ALONE" in N's voice after he gets the Lucky Seven killed me. What a good actor I swear to god I love him for his wonderful voice work in this game.

2:47:29 You don't know what was going on there. To be fair, neither did we. But here's what happened. As you later learned, M has the ability to control others' minds and turn them against you. That's what happened to Noah. When M uses her Eclipse Soul art, she takes over one of your party members and turns them against you. You didn't switch, the game forced you to Switch because M was now controlling Noah. That's also why you couldn't use Noah in a Chain Attack. Because M was still controlling him.
Watch that segment and pay attention to who Noah is attacking. He isn't attacking M, he's attacking the others.
2:47:44 Noah(M) used Infinity Blade and completely obliterated Eunie with one hit.
2:50:54 When she used Eclipse Soul then, it looked to me like she controlled Sena while she was Interlinked, which forced you to switch to Noah. Then Sena(M) smacked Noah into next week a few seconds later.
2:59:11 By this point, Taion had figured out what was going on, and he said to watch the way his Mondo moved. When M used Eclipse Soul the Mondo was swirling around Taion's head. This indicated that M was controlling Taion, and he was who you had to attack.
Don't feel bad you didn't figure any of this out. Honestly, I didn't either and I was only told about it afterward.
The simplest way to finish the fight is simply to look at how many Aggro lines there are or just hitting L and R occasionally. M’s the only enemy most of the time, so changing target either does nothing or tells you who’s being controlled.
Thank you so much for N, Harry. Your work at the beginning of Chapter 6 is the absolute best voice work I have ever witnessed.

Between my own playthrough and watching others' playthroughs, I must have seen the Chapter 5 ending scene a dozen times over. And I still ugly cry each and every time, in no small part due to you and your cohorts' performances, Harry. You all did a phenomenal job, and you deserve every last iota of praise for your amazing acting skills.

Everything from towards the end of chapter five to those scenes at the start of chapter 6 was so incredibly well performed and perfectly executed. I am blown away at how bone chilling that delivery was and how convincing it sounded for Noah to and N to experience such horrible despair and hopelessness. I hope to hear more of your voice acting in any future roles you might take up.
N's voice acting when he finds out the truth is the first time I found the english voice acting superior to the japanese version. Truly phenomenal work there mate, thank you.

Such an amazing game with such powerful messages. Noah watching N's life to me is one of the greatest scenes in all of video game history. Literally had me in tears. Story was fantastic and the voice acting was just as phenomenal. You did such an amazing job as Noah. Here's hoping to seeing Noah in the next Smash Bros. game.

My standard benchmark for acting is how well a character has a mental breakdown. Well done, Harry!
Also, good on you for being more frustrated with Shania than hateful of her. What she tried to do was unforgivable, but a lot of people seem to get so wrapped up in that that they figure she got what was coming to her.
Can't be easy having the same self-worth issues as Sena, but instead of Mio saying you're good enough and Lanz sharing self-improvement tips, you've got Ghondor saying to give up and go away. Girl needed a support network, and the only one offering it at the moment was X.
When I played chapter 5 it was 10pm for me and 3 am when I got past the start of chapter 6. do I regret that no not at all but I did cry myself to sleep that night this whole chapter had me in tears! This chapter was so powerful and will I do this chapter again at 10 no I learned my lesson about that only one other game has made me cry as much as this chapter!
I lost my shit when playing this sequence. the voice acting was phenomenal and the music was just incredible. well done harry.

Not gunna lie, when I first played through this, I thought that this game had multiple endings and I'd just gotten the bad ending.

I remember when I fought M, I got her down to a sliver of health left. I thought, “This is it, just have to get my ouroboros talent art and it’s over.” I get the talent art, use it, and M TAKES CONTROL OF NOAH THAT MOMENT. I ended up wiping my entire team and losing the fight.

Noah’s flute isn’t Crys’s. The flute that Crys has includes blue on it. Noah’s has red. Crys actually gifts Noah the red flute when he first begins the off-seer lessons.

I can't being to express how thrilled I was to be able to finally kill him later.
The M battles are my favorite in the whole game because of her Eclipse Soul ability. Really forces you to be more vigilant and be careful with what you do. I was playing as Noah and made the stupid mistake of interlinking. M immediately took control of Noah and wiped my whole party in one hit with his Ouroboros form. After that I was like, "Ok, noted, no interlinking here!" And that was in my second playthrough when I knew what she was capable of. In my first playthrough I didn't know what the snuff was going on. Didn't notice her doing that at all, just like you didn't here.
Btw your voice work in this game is phenomenal! I actually intended to play the game in Japanese like I did with the first two, but accidentally started it in English and then didn't want to start the intro over again so I just continued in English. I'm so glad I did, because I would have missed your brilliant performance. This part in particular completely blew me away. You really deserve all the praise you get for these roles.
The nervous laughter when the sword hits Noah's neck, and then the explosive smiling when Mio gave him the flute. He's not reacting, he's THERE. That's how he played Noah and N!
No matter how many times I watch this sequence, Noah and N's performance is just brilliant.

Not "right" as in directions, but "right" as in N believes that he choses the path that is right for him and his Mio.

Words cannot begin describe how grateful I am for your voice work and the work of all those involved who created this masterpiece of game. This was my game of 2022, such an emotional and relatable rollercoaster, the whole of the voice cast just helped to etch this into memory.

Noah’s differences from Shulk are especially apparent in this chapter.
When Noah ends up in an unwinnable situation, he despairs, he becomes self-destructive.
When Shulk ends up in an impossible situation he goes ballistic with pure rage, (though that may be partly because of [redacted]’s influence), nerd man was angy.
Rex despairs but he doesn’t self-harm, he just shuts down completely
