for late game if you max the vorgath's vendor rank, you can buy the unique weapon, The Bargain which grants the user +400 health -50 Mana and Using an Ability spends health instead of mana at 200% its cost, using this and the siphon abilities I can spam spells and barely drop in hp
This build could synergize quite well with the Legendary Ring - Maw of the Black City. Which causes all abilities to always crit for the cost of 20% health. That plays really well with your amulet.
And at the same time it got my ability of healing so it will not cause any problem as i got and 20 % crit dmg which is a big figure so even boss fights will not take thant long
@@rawr3122 the journey in this game is a commendable one I understand people having their issues with the dialogue but that does not hinder the gameplay for me at all
I play around with the build, but I think using meteor is an oversight, with due respect. Both meteor and spirit bomb detonate sundered, with passive from death caller tree meteor also does necrotic damage, so we have two equal skills. I prefer ice nova - you can freeze enemies every 40 seconds and spend some time peacefully lasering the weak spot. Though the build is great overall.
There is an unique item that triggers low health early, and keeps your health at 70% max for more damage. I think it dropped from the crossroads bosses, but not sure
Personally the unique items so far usually have either too big a drawback or are just not better than legendary versions of certain gear. Cause of this i generally barely use the unique stuff
This is the build I’ve stumbled into with trial and error. I’m at level 31 and it’s fun and quite powerful You just need to make sure you have all the fire skills and a decent fire staff and orb. There’s some heavy dark spawn battles. They are resistant to necrotic and weak to fire
@@themorganrobertsonactually I think it’s a skill. It basically adds additional fire damage on top of your traditional elemental attacks. It stacks too I believe. Spellblade is genuinely my favourite specialisation right now.
Their is a unique that allows u to use health at 250% for abilities. I think it's mourn watch but not sure atm. Also the fire/shock orb from shadow dragons apply affliction on crits from even if you never use the orb.
This is exactly the build I’ve been working on and hadn’t seen anyone do this. Most death callers have been going to the control tree but this has been absolutely melting. Nice !
i’ve almost constantly been using Lucanis and Harding as squad mates, sometimes swapping in Taash and Bellara but always at least L and H there ❤️ great vid! I’ve already planned a rogue build next but a Deathcaller will be the one I do after that!
Pretty cool build, usually love playstyles that involve risky sacrifices of health. The Reaver used to be more favorite warrior spec. That said, it does feel incomplete on a mage without any undead minions, y'know? I know there's one passive that makes enemies spawn little death bolts when they die, but it's not the same.
Could try it with the Iron Veil unique helm. Makes enemies that die spawn a ghost that does necrotic attacks. I haven't really played around with it tho
Hey man just curious if running ice skills would be better? You have the death frost passive that empowers your next frost or necrotic ability to do 15% more damage but don't have any frost stuff? Seems like a damage loss there! Any feedback would be nice :) awesome video!
@Dantics ok thanks for the info, still in the early levels and I kinda like the Orb+Dagger animations better, but we see how it develops, free respects anyway, so it's all good
This is easier to play, i think spellblade is not necessarily weaker but it requires a lot more skills to play it. All you really need to do is use a version of RT and aim at weakpoint. And occasionally regen mana with channel trigger. Spellblade gives you cool stuff like takedowns. I blast stuff to death before that triggers.
Thanks for the build, i will try the beam later on, currently sitting on a build with no manaissues, not 1 staff attack and leech out of hell, works fine till now, see how it goes on bosses, i use the rank 4 nekro staff from the faction with the leech chest there (think that are the most important here) and then the ring with granted krit for 20% health each cast, the leech belt and all other on kritdmg and +heal, on one enemy it pays out to none health loss and if I hit more then 1 I'm always back up to full health, love this to chaincasting abilitys (3. Ability is the upper frost cast which has a +75%kritdmg enchant, give it a try its amazing
The 2 necrotics, and the upper frost skill in the Nord, you can play with meteor aswell cause it will be necroticdmg with a skillpoint in the specialisation but prefer 2 dmg types if theres a resist to necrotic and the +15% dmg each cast of necrotic gives frost this dmg multiplier and turn around the same, so its quite nice, with the ring of 50% of all multiplier will be handled as +necroticdmg gives it a nice boost aswell with frost and necrotic
I cannot find the last upgrade to striking misfortune, and since it's early no guides seem to be up. I am right before the point of no return. If anyone has any tips on it, please let me know! 🙏
i use ranged with sphere. Is there reason why it SHOULD be staff? I did not see any requirements in necro spec for using exactly staff. Also there is one node that increse necrotic dmg after frost dmg and counterwise too. So i use frost aoe instead of fire. Blow up sundered through ranged + E one by one. And while enemies are freezed I have time to use knife for magic bombs
Just started playing the game and am loving it. If someone could explain how the whole detonation thing works and what ability to use to detonate (I'm going for the deathcaller mage), that would be great. Thanks. Do companions detonate stuff as well?
Lucanis can apply sunder and vulnerability to necrotic with attack my target, and emmirich can apply vulnerability with attack my target and with a trinket he can apply vulnerability when he applies weakness.
There’s so many interesting builds I finished one as a necromancer that used the leech staff (you are no longer healed by potions and companion abilities) and paired it with the belt that makes potions instead charge ult and ultimates heal you. Plus armor that gives 0 defense but hands out a bunch of buffs for taking damage. So fun
extremely strong build, not the most fun however, I was liking the build suggested by bioware of fire and lightning spellblade, but I'm having fun trying alternative builds like this
Yeah my mortalitasi spec build is similar and because of how easy it is both in difficulty and mechanically ( all i really need yo do is hold rt and aim at weak spot) i feel the need at times to play on my warrior rook to spice up stuff.
from my experience any necro based mage build is pretty much dumpster until 40 once you've got the full death caller tree unlocked, until then other builds shine way better in the early levels
@@mehlyn6599 you are 100% correct LOL. im now lvl 46 and every fight is a breeze in nightmare difficulty >:D it's definitely a lot better in the late game, and i was also still getting used to the combat and all

I think the meteor was a way to detonate sundered on darkspawn more effectively since they are resistant to necrotic
@dannymachin6192 Death Caller has a passive making all Area abilities deal necrotic damage, which he has, so it is the same type of damage
@@unknownunknowner2903 I thought the passive was the beam damage was turned necrotic not the actual abilities

Yep, the boss under Spirit Market island has that item.
