Doing an album as an artist at this age is a huge deal and he did a phenomenal job making sure it was not an average album that was released just for the sake of it. He took his time to ensure he provided songs for all vibes, and did not throw in skippable songs that add no value. Some might not be your vibe, but they might appeal to someone else. That being said, the pen game was on par with some of the best artists in desi hip hop. Great work by jani, excited to see what else he might have in store for us. My top five from the album were 1. I'm not sure since you didnt mention abdullah's name, but i think you mixed Abdullah Meharvi with Abdullah Siddiqui. Abdullah meharvi has done two previous songs with Jani called nothing like you and tu kahan(this also featured hasan raheem). Both those songs will leave you speechless, do give them a listen. This particular song is actually a sequel to nothing like you since like usual the audience demanded it because of the chemistry between them two and it did not disappoint at all. In any case, you aren't wrong. His voice is super soothing for the ears. Ibtida means beginning/start. "tootna hi hai kabhi to mere dil nai, ibtida bhi kar hi do tum aaj se" My heart is bound to get broken some time, so you might as well start today. Faqat means only. "is maazi ki galiyon mai faqat haadsey hain" Streets of my past are filled with incidents(haadsey literally means accidents, but I take it he means heartbreaks here) only. Jani mentioned in a podcast that he was a little doubtful about sunset hills since he felt his writing was a little subpar in that one according to him. But Mishall absolutely carried that song to perfection and he acknowledged that.
