@@wigwagstudios2474that’s because the EMA director is dumb and doesn’t understand the history and how unique the system is, heck even though 6 out of the 58 sirens don’t work coverage is still very good. If they kept up maintenance this stupid system upgrade wouldn’t be happening and I bet they won’t keep up maintenance with the new system. So I am very against it and if it doesn’t happen (it probably will) then we all get the chance to record more awesome sirens from the county if only they weren’t picky about the weather and don’t do the system upgrade.
@@wigwagstudios2474 they actually aren’t getting scrapped, they’re for sale to anyone that wants them but the Hurricane is staying and the 3 T-121’s aren’t for sale as they’ll be refurbished and sent to towns that need them. A siren dealer called Sheboygan Warning Systems will oversee the project they’re a very good company. And the project won’t start till November, i also live in Milwaukee so that’s why I’m a bit protective of the system as it’s my childhood system
One of my good friends is a professional who works and trains people to work on motors, and he told me that motors that can be wired for 110/220V and 220/440V will sound the same regardless of the voltage. A 440V 10HP Allertor wouldn't sound like this. Whitefish Bay is 220V single phase. I believe the controls look different for single phase, but whitefish bay also has a distinctive pause in the windup, caused by the capacitor
Apparently there used to be an Allertor in Marshall, WI. Sadly, it was removed and replaced with most of the sirens in Dane county.
this siren is like a drug
I get addicted and die!!!!
some day i'll record this... one of these days
I don’t think so anymore, Milwaukee county is replacing the system, I think this one is already gone.
oh......... well i'm glad i took a pic of it in july
curse you milwaukee, you had so many good ACA sirens for so long

They could at least sell the sirens to other towns and cities in need, auction em off and shit. But they’re probably being scrapped as we speak.

I guess one of the P-50s said lol to cancel
Why Is A P-50 Sounding?
Thefunny 15hp 🥰
It's actually a 10HP
@Justin Franklin whitefish bay is 15HP, you can tell by sound. Same pitch as a dual tone P15.
I believe someone who worked on it also confirmed this.
@@Sipex6484 I was also told that this ACA Allertor 125 is 480V
