Small Business Administration/USDA Outreach Session: The Business of Farming and Ranching

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Rural Affairs cohosted an interactive webinar for beginning farmers and ranchers on July 21, 2022. A high-level overview was given on federal programs and resources for farmers, from farm loans and crop insurance to conservation programs and disaster assistance. Tips were also shared on how to connect and begin working with each of the agencies. Farmers and ranchers had the opportunity to ask federal experts questions about their agencies’ programs. As already asked, do you support indoor aquaculture farming, and also indoor vertical farming? I want to have both, along with greenhouses and free range, grass fed livestock to support a large homeless shelter for youth, in a way never done before in the U.S. Thanks for any information.
