Ahhh yes, Remember those days of climbing the silo to help the unloader get started in hay. It was always a fight for a couple days. Sometimes we'd run a little ground or cracked corn up the blower and that really helped move it better. Both in and out of the silo. Those days of climbing up the shoot at -10 degrees with the wind blowing and hay dust blowing up around your head, Ugh! don't miss that. Didn't think much about it back then, you just did what you had to do. Great vid!

When the smell of fresh cut hay transitions to the smell of fresh chopped corn.... You just can't beat that. Making feed through all of the seasons.

I saw one of those drone sprayers at a field plot a few weeks ago. It was pretty cool. One guy asked about it crashing and the guy told him it’s got a feature that senses objects and stops it automatically. He said he would demonstrate it by trying to crash it into the silo. It got about 10-20 feet from it and stopped. Pretty cool stuff.

Please keep your Grant man safe while his farm sense continues to develop. I love it when you walk around in the cow yard. I am so very impressed at the udders the girls have and none of the girls have be AI'd all with a bull. I remember you saying you had to switch the guy that got the bulls or something.i don't know who it is or was but they know their cows.
Get, all you guy continue to stay safe. Happy harvest

You should change the pulley on your unloader blower drop it down in size to speed up the blower so your haylage gets thrown out the door. Another great video with grant the boss. God bless

Hey Kip, love the content of the channel, been a faithful watcher for quite a few years now.
Please help me understand something about your JD Chopper; Are the front wheels your drive wheels like a combine? Are they the only drive wheels, the rears aren’t assisting except for steering right? I was just curious, because the front tires look like they should be on the opposite side of the chopper. I’m an older guy but I was wearing my glasses when I checked what I was seeing. Please explain why the chopper was configured that way, you probably have a perfectly great reason. I’m just checking. Brandon Township here. Hey “neighbor” love the show keep ‘em coming, I will keep watching Grant get bigger. It won’t be that far in the future when he will be driving a green tractor, helping Dad with the chores!

    • @aaronbeisch4707
      @aaronbeisch4707 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes, the front tires on the self propelled choppers are the main drive tires like the combines. The easiest way to tell if the chopper or combine has rear wheel assist is the direction of the rear tires while the machine is parked. What I mean is that if the tire lugs are the same way as the drive tires, then it is rear wheel assist. If it looks like they mounted the tires backwards, than it's not rear wheel assist. I've been told well about 20 years ago, the reason to mount the back tires backwards is that it's supposed to be a smoother ride.

2 comments, first if I do the math right you milk around 200 hundred cows and that should mean you calve 75 to 100 new heifers every year unless you sell some so does that mean you ship 75 to 100 cows to market each year and my second comment is please keep your eyes on that boy 100 % of the time because if something happens to him you will never forgive yourself!

Thanks for another great video Kip.
Those huge drones that they spray with are absolutely amazing. Wow. Thanks so much Kip for doing the interview on the spray drones. I find that so interesting. Thanks.
Was interesting watching the silo unloaded working. I know you are careful but always have a partner working with you for safety and watch the machine and where it is by you. Dangerous machine. I have worked silos before but not in the silo when running.
Are there gases you must watch for????????
    Thanks for showing us.
The big tractor got that disc through those muddy areas. Good going dad.
Thanks for showing us the onion digger and loading their trucks. Interesting. Never seen that before. Must have a digging head on the machine that pulls them out of the ground. Easy loading those trucks. Great drone footage of the drone machine. Thanks.
Lots of great drone footage today. Appreciate that. Love watching the farm operation from the drones.
Busy busy day for all of you. Lots going on.
The cows are hungry. Eating good this cooler weather. Wow.
Thanks for everything today. Lots to show us today. All was super interesting.
    Thanks Kip.
    Take care and be safe.

I think most onions are topped, left a short time, then lifted out of the ground to leave them lying on top of the ground, left to dry off, then picked up with a machine like that. If you watch the video again, you can see them on top of the ground in each row.
