Logo looks like the one WVIT in Hartford used at around that time; metallic call letters with a script "thirty" over it. It was owned by Viacom at the time.

One of my favorite sign-off National Anthem videos.

From what I heard, WOIO took the FOX affiliation for Cleveland, OH because WUAB refused on account of the markets in their cable footprint having enough stations for Fox to hook up with.

When you can afford a graphics designer but not a staff photographer, this may be what you do.

"This is your announcer speaking." A tribute to Ernie Anderson's identification of himself on "The Tim Conway Comedy Hour" and on "The Carol Burnett Show" (as "your Wacko announcer speaking"--Carol's production company at that time was "Wacko, Inc.").

I wonder if John Christopher Burns was aware of that when he wrote the copy for Bill “Troll” Tullis

WOIO went 24/7 in September 1994, shortly after the affiliation switch to CBS. (Prior to that, they **only** signed off on Monday mornings.)
