Sodium reacts with water violently even at room temperature. Lithium is also very reactive.

Vehicle & ruptured tanker fires, often, cannot be quickly extinguished because of the protected fuel & ignition sources.
What about a sodium fire or magnesium fire? I’ve heard that they are almost impossible to put out because they are oxidizers.
