I had a Muslim gf and we had been in a relationship for almost 4 years, i loved her regardless of my religion, i didn't care abt anything but her, at the end when i finally asked her to get married she opposed and rejected that left me baffled and shattered thoroughly however she offered me a proposal that if i accept and convert in Islam then there is a possibility and i asked her if she can convert in my religion but she radically denied it coz her faith and her religion never allows it and she puts her religion over everything and then she opened my eyes by the fact that how hypocrite and blind these Muslims are and it didn't take me long to realise that she pre-planned to persuade me to accept her religion under the pretext of loving me... since that day i despise this wicked religion even more.period
She wasn't allowed to marry outside her religion. They never are and if someone found out that she did and she didn't leave her religion. They would have punished her severely. Some Muslim women would be executed in a Muslim country for marrying outside their religion. That's why she declined your proposal and asked you to join her religion because then you could've gotten married. Even if they aren't deeply committed to the religion they are still bound by its laws.

I just had a conversation with a Muslim girl who actually cited this verse. I explained to her how it was wrong and it was actually a very violent verse.
She proceeds to tell me that if it’s true, then it’s not bad, since whoever transgresses in Muslim land should be punished.
I was like “wtf” and asked her if a girl who commits adultery should have her head sliced off then for violating the law, and she said there was no point in arguing anymore.

The consequence of censorship is that one side or group won't be able to discuss something, to explain, to argue and make arguments, or even to defend themselves. So why should they listen anyone without being able to talk anything they want? Discussion is not one way interaction and conversation. In discussion or debate they exchange ideas and opinions and arguments, not to be passive listener and follow what other says. And censorship will make sure that the exchange between speakers won't happen.

Hey AP, thanks for that elucidation. I subsequently tried to google the Texts/verses in Englisch. It's almost impossible to find the originals online as the apologists and interpreters have swamped the web so that you can only find "what does verse 5:33 really mean?" and so on. I finally found the verses in German. That reminds me: many years ago there were Salafists operating here in the Düsseldorf area. Their stands were full of copies of a book with the title "lies!", which means, as you know, "read!". Very appropriate.
As I understand it, originally Allah want Muhammad and Muslims to pray 50 times a day. Then Muhammad negotiated and bargained with Allah (Funny) and knocked down to 5 times a day. Now, let's think about this, Allah is insecure that he wants his Muslim worshipers to pray to him 5 times a day. This makes Allah appears to be afraid, apprehensive, touchy feeling, unsure and uptight about himself and his followers. HUM!

In surah Al-Nisa verse 4, Allah says " They will never be ˹true˺ believers until they accept you Muhammad as the judge in their disputes, and accept Muhammad and do not not resistance his teaching and decision and submit wholeheartedly. WHAT??? Accept his teaching? I thought it was Allah's teaching. Muslims scholers clear this verse by saying Muhammad recieved his teaching from Allah and that is what meant her, Allah's teaching. It is very clear it says HIS TEACHING refering to Muhammad, If it refered to Allah's teaching, then why Allah was not more clear and less comfusing. Is Allah incapable to convey a clear verse??? HUM!!!!
I always struggled with the concept of praying to an all knowing all seeing omnipotent being. Seems a little patronizing.
