@Omn1 - I have seen about 10 different reactors watch Season 2, and you sir have won the reaction game. Most observant, most emotionally invested, most compelling.
@HAMMOS75 i get your point but at the same time a show can *absolutely* be intriguing without killing off main characters, especially one like this where they’re now trying to tear it all down
@HAMMOS75you usually watch these shows because you WANT the characters to survive, you pray they will, putting them in perilous situations where they could die but they pull through is the best for viewers, especially when it’s a character they REALLY love. This! I feel like the people saying this don’t care about the metaphors, stories and themes, they just care about the games and the deaths. Which shouldn’t be the main draw, you don’t need to kill off main charscters all the time to add emotional weight, we should want these characters to survive, and considering that they killed every character in the first season it’d be unoriginal and pointless to kill everyone here, especially considering this season focused so much more on the bonds and humanity within people, which the ending of season 1 set up so well with the homeless man.
Bit cliche to say but it really felt like Empire, a real kick in the gut to end the middle part of the story before we move onto the third season (return of the jedi)
I agree with everything you said except S2 having more developed characters. This time around, we got so much 'main' characters that it was hard for me to really feel attached to them. In season 1, every 'main' character death definitely either made me tear up or sob even if we only spent a small amount of time with them (ex.: Player 240/Ji Yeong). In season 2, I was rooting for Jun-hee (222), Hyun-Ju (120), Young-Mi (95), Se-Mi (380), Geum-Ja (149), and Gyeong-Seok (246). 3/6 (maybe 2 if 246 was actually saved by No-eul) of those people have died but not once did I tear up. I was sad, of course, but I just didn't feel as connected to them. I wanted to know more about 380 so badly but it felt like they just used her as an eventual character development tool for Min-Su (125) in season 3. Even the last death of this season didn't affect me as much as the last one in season 1 did. Of course these are all just my opinions. Regardless, the whole season was genuinely still very enjoyable and I'm hoping they wrap it all up nicely in S3.
I just want to add I'm not mad at the season being split in two because we've had so much more character development this time. Unfortunately its going to make any of them dying a lot more emotionally devastating.
I wonder if he actually doesn't have ptsd but in fact, is lying about being an ex-marine. he was probably in a more supporting role in the army, not a combatant one because he seems too inexperience in handling the MP5 gun. also the general awkward vibe whenever he's asked too much about his military time. maybe he got the marine tattoo as a way to project false valor and to be accepted into conversations/groups with guys (could be because he doesn't have much in common with them, growing up with only sisters; could be some other reasons)
@@iamai_iggsapparently to some Korean viewers, he may actually have actual PTSD as the timeline of when he got in and got out of the marines, there was a major shooting incident that happened which could have caused his PTSD
People saying that Dae-ho's tattoo is fake is just crazy, in korea its illegal to have a marine tattoo unless you actually were in the marines (i could be wrong, I tried doing some research and that's what it said), i just think the boy is very traumatized, we can see hiw hard it was for his to talk about his father etc, we don't know much about his backstory and what he went through
I'm sure it was 11 who shot at 246, but I do believe she did it to save him. He will likely be sent to the harvesting operation, and she will rescue him.
obviously he has ptsd, he was forcefully sent to the army because his dad thought he was too girly playing with his sisters, all that gunfire probably brought back his trauma
thats what i thaught at first, but then someone else contrasted me by saying he would at least know how to use a weapon, we see in the dorm that he was struggling to understand the weapons mechanisms and how to load the weapon. I think he just got the tattoo to 'prove' to his dad that he 'joined' the marines
@@yourlocalguapo what about his serial number that he told to bak jeong bae in that scene, he was saluting to him because he was his superior, he wouldn't know to do this if it was all fake
@@SansTheSkeleton_ He would, he would do his research to further prove to his dad that he actually joined. He wouldn't just get a tattoo and call it a day, he would do some research because he knew his Dad would obviously ask him about it since its a big deal
@@yolandag8436 Not just what, but also WHY? Why is he expected to risk his life for someone he knew 5 days? Sure there’s a bond but that’s his life on the line
I know a lot of people give Minsu a hard time for not jumping in to save Semi, but his response is so realistic. he has already been shown to not be someone who has it in him to stand up for himself, let alone other people. it's easy to say what he should have done from the safety of our own homes, but often, fear wins out in the end. I love that you said you feel defeated after watching this last episode because that's how I'm sure a lot of us felt at the end of Infinity War. I don't think it's a coincidence that we had a prominent character named Thanos in this season. as sad as I felt at the end of this episode, I'm even more pumped to see how our heroes win in the Endgame. Happy New Year, Michael! 🤩🎉
at 11:00 the frontman says "we make a small sacrifice for the greater good?". This is what he thinks he is doing with the Games, eliminating 456 anchors on society. Gi-hun doing this makes the frontman realise that Gi-hun doesnt care anymore about the people and only about his own desires, which is why he is willing to put an end to his time in the games; he had gone in to see why Gi-hun was there and he had now got the real answer.
This season only convinced me Sang-woo deserved to win the Squid Game. Sang-woo was honest and played the game how it was meant to be. Gi-hun is a hypocrite.
@@joshuaagee-bass4049 Indeed. The way Gi-Hun cheated 001 during the marble game showed how the real character he is in S1. That is already a tale tell of the willingness to sacrifice others for his own ass. The way the front man smirks is so evident in the way to now believes this dude is other than reckless and stupid but also a hypocrite.
This was a great season and I think I even liked it more than season 1. Those who say it was bad do it a great disservice because they expected a repetition of the experience from season 1 (while of course the first shock cant be replicated). But Ive read many people saying "We wanted more games and less of the not-game stuff." as if they hoped for a reality competition game show and didnt know they had turned on a drama series. They wanted some brainless entertainment about cheering for their team to win like watching a sports match, when it's the stuff around the games, the character buildups and especially the psychological game between Gihon and Inho who both have different agenda than just play game after game that gives this season its depth.
i actually like this season a little more than s1 .... s1 had that shock factor. s2 did a really good job expanding that world - making us invest in the characters even more.
i also like watching the season again - because I am now looking at Gihun's arc again and I find it interesting the themes and how they relate to Sangwoo as well. The judgement he passed on Sangwoo for killing the man in the glass game to essentially save them comes around to Gihun also making the call to sacrifice people for the "greater good". I also have to say it again for everyone to rewatch it and watching 001 - his expression and how he looks at 465 in all the scenes is so well acted.
The character development between the mother and Hyun-ju was the highlight of this season for me. I went from hating her initially because of how she acted towards Hyun-ju at first but then they actually interacted and grew a bond. So few shows actually manage to pull off the 180 of a characters opinions and I ended up loving the mother by the end of the show.
Hate is a strong word. She's from a different generation so her initial reaction to Hyun Ju was expected and realistic. She wasn't even mean to her, just didn't understand her. I loved the old lady from the beginning, she was so wholesome.
@@s7robin105 Yeah I know. I'm just saying I never once hated her even from the beginning. She wasn't particularly mean to Hyun Ju. She just didn't understand what being transgender means. She's from a different generation.
I really fell in-love Hyun Ju player 120 but I just realize that she's didn't exist IRL like Hyun Ju is just a character. But I still love Park sung-hoon acting and I wish that Hyun Ju survive and had a happy ending in season 3. She such a Diva and badass and lovely person. Like all of my friends fav character is Hyun Ju like we really love her and the actor who played as Hyun Ju. I'm so thankful for the creator that they cast sung-hoon but not a villain but as a transgender. Like I been hating her since the glory and queen of tears but I'm not really hate the actor but the her villain character hehehe. But Hyun Ju is just my most fav and unforgettable character
28:33 I'll say it was her that shot the dad. It didn't look like she shot him where it will be fatal like the other guards did to the others that surrendered.
32:07 normally you shoot either at the heart and/or head to make it fatal, but the gun was pointed at an angle (it seemed to be way below 90) for below waist
I too am skeptical that the Dad caricaturist is dead-it wasn't enough of a beat to complete the storyline between those two, plus, idk if it's just me, but I kinda got hints of a vibe between Dad and Hyunju
This is how I felt S2 of Avatar the last airbender. If we're going with a 3 arc style storytelling, then I can def see how this season was meant to be a great defeat. With that being said, hopefully, this means S3 won't end, so badly, though I'm sure there's going to be heartbreak along the way. I think this was a solid season, and I can see the potential set up for how this will play out in S3/pt2. Loved your reaction!
I agree, many people said they hated this season literally just cos it ended on a cliff hanger, and they even forgot that season 3 was declared months ago, do many trilogies even have a happy/complete ending in the second one (The Hunger Games? Pirates Of The Caribbean? Fantastic Beasts?)? They need to use it to hype up the third!
The captain being the spy made alot of sense now. Like of course there would be sailors that may encounter the real island beforehand although I don't quite get why he would have saved the police man in the first place?
It was likely on Inho's orders. He shot him in a non fatal way, called this guy to come pick up his brother but to keep him away from the island now that's he's insistent on going back.
35:56 That was EXACTLY what I was thinking what would probably happen next season when you mentioned whether she was the person that shot him and/or if the guy died
I was really surprised that when 390, Jung.-bae, was shot by the front man, I had no emotional reaction. I just sat there and stared blankly, I think what you describe is what happened to me as well - just this all around defeated feeling. I see so many people talk about how In-Ho maybe wanted to see whether he would change playing the game with Gi-Hun, but I doubt that was the case. For him, Gi-Hun was just an interesting speciment that he wanted to observe up close. He will never change his view on the game or humanity. If his backstory is legit (which I think it is), then he probably was disillusioned with the world even before entering the game himself. He played by the rules trying to find money to save his wife, and society still punished him. Through the games, he simply was encouraged to think even less of humanity. With his wife dead, there is no going back. He might still have a soft spot for his brother, and he might still be able to enjoy moments of excitement and happiness, but none of that will change that he thinks the worst of everyone. Honestly though, that actor is a menance. Almost every scene he was in, all I could think was "wow he's hot" - especially when he killed that guy during the Mingle game. What a man to play this character.
what struck me the most is the soundtrack that played at the end since it sounded very similar to when Sae-byuk died last season. They even had a parallel of Gi-hun being pinned down by the pink soldiers. Though I think Gi-hun was way more devastated here and was crying harder since that was his longtime friend 💔 Also I know it's the end of the season but just to let you know: No-eul's name is pronounced "No-oohl", Dae-ho is "Deh-oh", Hyun-ju is "Hyuhn-joo" (although you do occasionally say them correctly 😅)
Min-su (Player 125) wasn't even one of the bad players and yet I hated him more than Thanos and the other junkie lol. The saddest thing is that the girl chose him because she thought he wouldn't betray her and it was twice he betrayed her because of his cowardice. And to top it off, he ran away when the Cryptobro defended him from Thanos in the bathroom and he was about to die. Undoubtedly the most cowardly can be your worst ally and Min-su deserves to be eliminated in the third season.
@@js83 Nah, the Marine guy has PTSD, it's justifiable, and I doubt he lied because in South Korea it's mandatory to be at least 2 years in the military or you go to prison. In Min-su's case he was simply that, a coward who even if he had the support of others, he only used them as a shield and did not dare to accompany them at any time. I still like the Marine guy, but the other one deserves to leave the game.
That is the right feeling...defeated 😩 I'm glad u get it...many ppl are confused and disappointed with how things unravel in ep7 and the cliffhanger but they don't understand that this specific squid games is technically not about the actual games or even the players is about breaking Gihun. Themes of illusion of choice are important here. I'm so scared for the rest of the players...the games will be more brutal than ever to punish Gihun, that's why he didn't kill him he is not done with him 😩😩
I can't wait for 456 reaction when he discovers that 001 once again betrayed him. I think he is going to die at the end, he is so broken now 😢 what the witch said resonates with me a lot when they were in the room with 222. Also she mentioned that the others will die looking at each other so maybe the next games 😢 my hope is that 246 is alive and 11 saved him
About player 388 I found a video on TikTok explained by a Korean guy who said that the unit (I guess we call it that way?) he was from in the military had a traumatic event. It was during 2011. And in real life, that year a soldier shot 5 of his mates (sadly they passed away) and injured 7 of them. So I think player 388 has ptsd from that!
I think it was 11 who shot the dad... But I think she purposely shot him in a non-lethal area. I genuinely believe she shot him to get him out there, but time will tell!
Happy New Year’s!!! 😊, once again thank you for understanding the whole season and gi plan. Tbf on gi with 001 is that he was bit suspicious of him in the beginning but cuz the frontman is manipulative and how hard the frontman was being on his side gi became trusting (even tho it can be frustrating) and gi was desperate. I love unnie she was one of the mvps of the season.
Pretty sure 11 gut shot art dad so that he’d be taken for organ harvesting where she can then rescue him by taking the Dr hostage and forcing him to treat art dad.
Hey, I just finished the show myself yesterday, and I'm currently catching up with your reactions, part way through the second episode. I noticed you had a blinking cursor on your subtitles and I thought I'd skip ahead to the latest video and see if you're still facing the issue, and indeed you are! Pro tip: press F7! It'll solve all your problems, lol. It turns on/off caret browsing. I had the same issue for a while. 🤣
you are literally the only reactor to point out that they only made it that far because inho was there . they were always doomed to fail , the soliders couldve literally guarded that toilet door and they coulve sent in more soliders . you are so observant , you just gained a new subscriber
Young Hee likes to play with 123 wooden figures. Her younger brother Cheol Soo is also a master of playing games. He likes to find people to play claw machines.
This episode took me out of the show a bit mainly because of how Gi-hun's willing to sacrifice his X's group with zero thought. First he was fine to let the O's to kill off a few of the X's so his team can play dead to wrestle arms from the guards then storm the control room for a break out. The plan of course fail. They were out numbered and out gun even without 001 involvement. His plan ended up losing more Team X. Of course Team O will attack regardless but had he and his Team X targeted a few alpha males the odd is a lot better than facing a well staffed and well equipped Frontman. Also I do not believe Gyung-seok - Player 246 is dead. His story with Guard 11 - No-eul is not over yet.
I wonder if the endgame of this show is Gi Hun running the games, becoming part of the system cause as much as I am all for stopping the games, I don’t think Gi Hun, Jun-ho, their team or any of the players have the power to do so, no matter how much money they might get.
obviously, 388 has PTSD, he was forcefully sent to the MARINES because his dad thought he was too soft and too girly playing and always being around his sisters, all that gunfire probably brought back his trauma, and panic attacks. He is from Marine class 1140, he enlisted on April 18, 2011, and was discharged on January 17, 2013. During this period in South Korea, the Ganghwa Marine Corps shooting incident occurred, leading to the interpretation of his PTSD. Let's all be thankful to him, coz 120 is saved because of him... our 120 is our MVP for this season... So sad that history repeats itself 456 friend (390 Park Jung Bae) are killed just like what happened in season 1 (67 Kang Sae-byeok and 218 Cho Sang-woo).
M25s aren't actually used in regular branches of military, so it would make sense that daeho didn't know how to work that gun specifically and hyunju (because she was in special forces) would :) also I FULLY believe that daeho was a Marine and not just because of mandatory enlistment lol. there're too many quirks and personality traits to his character that would be completely erased if he was lying about that. It looked a lot like complex PTSD, coming from somebody whose father (Marine), sister (Army soldier) and grandfather (Marine) have combat PTSD. and it wasn't just like a thing that they randomly threw in, he's been showing signs of pretty extreme PTSD since the mini games lol. but like the story with his father wanting him to join the military to make him more of a "man" makes so much sense with his character, and that one scene back when they played the mini games and jungbae was making fun of him for being really good at a "girls" game. anyways I think it would make no sense to his character if he was lying, it seems like he was probably discharged whether honorably or dishonorably, It seems like maybe he wasn't mentally strong enough to continue to pursue his career over there. there's just a lot of open backstory with his character that I'm hoping we get next season because I'm so intrigued by him. 😭 I'm really glad that you didn't just start jumping on daeho though, he gets entirely too much hate as it is😞
I know writer/director said he is OVER squid games and is glad he can step away from it now, but id be remiss if we dont get a prequel series about the games the front man won..it would be the best way to "humanize" him as much as u can..from the story he tells, he pretty much went thru the same thing gi hun did as far as it bring too late to save his wife after he won (much like gi huns mom dying b4 he won).. the only difference being the tragedy "broke" the front man and destroyed his faith in humanity whilst gi hun was able to hold on to his humanity n I think THIS is why the frontman wants to break him. He envys gi huns outlook on the whole situation and is attemping to prove his worldview "correct" and wants gi hun to lose his faith and come to see things the frontmans way...gi hun started proving the frontmans point when he agreed to sacrifice the few for the many..
Just my guess: Season 2 number 001(the front man) is actually son of Season 1 number 001. The old man 001 from season 1 said his son does not like white milk. Season 2 001 also dont like white milk. (episode 6) Front man cares so much about the pregant girl because she reminds him his dead wife with baby. In Season 3 the pregant girl will die at some point but taken to the basement surgery room. then somehow mayber from the pink agent number 11, front man knows about the harvesting operation with baby and saves the girl and baby with number 11 agent. Because of all this, front man finally breaks the rule of the game for the first time and maybe sacrifice himself for the baby. (the front man becomes a good guy) In the end 456 becomes the front man. 456 now respect the game and getting addicted to the game. In the begining of the episode 2, when the guy asked 456 in the motel "Did u kill him?", 456 said "no, he just lost the game(instead of saying yes i killed him)." this scene shows how 456 is changing as time goes by. So in the end 456 become new front man who honors and respects the game at the same time do not have guilty mind. (456 becomes a bad guy) this guess is all from the book "The Four Fundamental Concepts of Psychoanalysis" by jacques Lacan, which was found in Front man's residence in real life in Season 1. From the book, "The purpose of the drive is not to reach a goal (a final destination)(ENDING GAME) but to follow its aim (the way itself)(PLAYING GAME), which is to circle round the object."
Your guess makes sense I also think the pregnant woman will survive with baby. Gi-hun, Frontman or both will save her. I just watched the guy's interview today who acted Frontman said Frontman has some hope that Gi-hun will change or stop this game.Which means Frontman also doesn't enjoy being Frontman.
@@lovelee3222 yes maybe. From Jimmy Fallon's tonight show, when he asked "Do you become the new front man?", Gi-hun answered both YES and NO. So at some point, he will be in charge of the game.
This plan was stupid for many reasons one of which they lost the chance to leave the game since most of if not all those that went on the suicide mission were ones that voted to leave
well they all agreed with the plan, pretty sure it they all said they wanted to vote and go home, gihun would just accept it. plus, that was his plan all along. to stop the games. he didn't wanna kill innocent people from the other team, he wanted to kill the guards.
Player 120 is my favorite character she's badass, she stole this show, Park sung-hoon is do amazing job as player 120, I really want her, mother and son and pregnant lady to live ,survive and live happily after those soldiers better save them if not I'll be piss than motherfucker, again they better stay alive in the final season 2025, overall happy new year
The framing of this episode with the two groups really makes me think season 2 is all about the political divide There are people in power who play with us. Some people want to keep playing the game in hopes of winning it big, some for selfish reasons, others for valid reasons While some want to stop, to change the system The players of the game get caught up fighting and hating each other, killing each other When our enemy isnt across from us But above Your enemy is NOT your fellow player, it is the game master How many people are we willing to lose for a select few to win big?
@@Omn1Media plus when the other side called him a coward - he was triggered and was really offended - the fact that he also was cowering and leaving them with no ammo makes me agree with your take. I also was rewatching that mingle game and when they suggested two men and 4 women for the number 6 - him and the "momma's boy" were the volunteers to go with the women. The other guys stayed back to try and make another group of 6.
I think he had an abusive father who has really messed him up. The way he flinched when 120 reached towards him was telling plus the way he talked about his dad. Military service is mandatory in Korea for young men but I don't think he was honorably discharged.
@@SandraMorris51 i was thinking that too - i think maybe him having older sisters and this macho man mentality that exists - I think he was for sure abused as well.
Honestly, I don’t think that was a good plan at all.. They had the advantage over the O team.. last season they built a fortress and survived against worst people.. all they had to do is survive the night and go home.. Our main character had one goal and one goal only: go after those who organize the games… he was blinded by that goal and was willing to sacrifice people to achieve that goal even though the plan was so bad!!! I don’t know.. that’s just how I feel and wanted to share it 😅 Apologies for the long comment 🙏🏽
@Omn1media, I've probably put way to much thought into this but hear me out 😊😊 First thing is about the "Recruiter": When he goes to the park/plays roulette with the people he captured got me thinking about how he wanted our main character (I'm not trying to spell the character's names because I'll totally mess it up, please forgive me) to admit he was "A piece of trash who just got lucky." He really needed to hear that from him to solidify his personal World view, like he said he started out working for the game masters he never had the balls to play for real! So that's why he plays games outside of what his main job is supposed to be (IMO). After we get down to the last shot he was willing to die in his belief that he was somehow better than the people he sent to the slaughter, but before he dies our main character lets him know he's worse than the people he calls trash (I hope I made that make sense). Second thing, with the front man. I started thinking about in the first season when his Brother found the tiny room he was living in and all the types of books he was reading, it made me think he had similar trauma after he won his games as our main character and may have tried to find a different way but watching each year of the games play out made him more jaded to the point he decided the change in people needed would never happen in his lifetime so screw it 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ Another thing about the front man is we learn that he and the host from last season were close and maybe hearing him explain how he felt being part of the games is why he chose to join these (of course he wanted to study our main character up close and personal too) and to see if that hope would rub off on him. That's all I have to say about the show for now 😅😅 Omn1, I love watching shows with you for the same reason so many have stated in the comments section. There's a beautiful humanness that flows from you when reacting to shows and it's felt even through the barrier of the screen. Thank You for that! I hope your Holiday Season was a great one. That's All For Now, Love Y'all!!🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️💜💜
It makes me mad that not all the men in that room helped. If they did, they would have won because all South Korean men go to the army. Then again In ho was playing his own game idk ugh
s3 has two official games left until the last Squid Game ? I'm so intrigued on where this will end and who will make it. I dont want my top 3 characters to die. I really want the father... thepregnant girl and the transgender woman to make it.
11:00 this point i hate him.. why he willingly to sacrifice people who vote X, the one want to stop the game and want to leave.. at least lets all whos vote X know that team O will come to kill X so that they can prepare the ambush.. and he just stop his team to kill the O when them have ammo. nah he just want act like hero.. at that point im side with 001..

120 being the MVP of this season. Love it.
See you in season 3 and Happy New Year's 🎉
To be fair 388 saved 120 by not getting the ammo. If he did get the ammo then they both would be overwhelmed and killed by the soldiers.
Also Player 388 obviously had PTSD and he knew he wouldn't survive if he turned back
@@Moonchild0 So many people watching dont realise this ! he indeed does have ptsd and its hinted troughout the season !
@ South Korea has mandatory Military service for all men. Is not strange that they all have basic military training. So no he probably wasn’t lying.
I think so too. Way too much of a storyline there just to end abruptly.
PS Editing Omni read my mind 😆
FOR SURE they already building it up since Ep 1 and 2 why Soldier 11 knew 246 situation. So he is alive
I think 388 has PTSD that's why he's freaking out during the rebellion and couldn't bring himself to leave the dorm with the ammo
obviously he has ptsd, he was forcefully sent to the army because his dad thought he was too girly playing with his sisters, all that gunfire probably brought back his trauma
thats what i thaught at first, but then someone else contrasted me by saying he would at least know how to use a weapon, we see in the dorm that he was struggling to understand the weapons mechanisms and how to load the weapon.
@@yourlocalguapo well he would have to stay somewhere else then, because he's supposedly not in the army, so where would he live?
Glad there's a reactor not giving Min-su or Dae-ho a bunch of crap for being scared.
The majority of them are idiots / how they have so many views I don’t know
Right like what was Min-su supposed to even do?
@@yolandag8436
Not just what, but also WHY?
You sir are the only intelligent reactor to this series I’ve watched.

at 11:00 the frontman says "we make a small sacrifice for the greater good?".
@@joshuaagee-bass4049go away troll
right.. he just prove the 001 perspective..
I like this season better too. I'm way more attached to these characters.
i actually like this season a little more than s1 .... s1 had that shock factor. s2 did a really good job expanding that world - making us invest in the characters even more.
@@SandraMorris51 Same.
and I guarantee if this season followed the exact same formula as season 1, there'd be complaints
I agree this season had layers of very important themes and ppl complaining it wasn't like s1 proves the point of some of these themes 🤦🏻♀️
I'm interested to know in the decades these games have been going on, how many times they've faced a rebellion.
You are just the best reactor of this man, just want to say thanks.
i also like watching the season again - because I am now looking at Gihun's arc again and I find it interesting the themes and how they relate to Sangwoo as well.
@ I was saying that I hated her but as the show went on she grew as a person so I began to worry for her
@@s7robin105 Yeah I know. I'm just saying I never once hated her even from the beginning. She wasn't particularly mean to Hyun Ju. She just didn't understand what being transgender means. She's from a different generation.
ngl i enjoyed and loved watching this season , specially player 120 she really carried the show that's so amazing.
The more I watch that ending scene the more I actually get emotional. I didn't cry the first time but I definitely did now
28:33 I'll say it was her that shot the dad. It didn't look like she shot him where it will be fatal like the other guards did to the others that surrendered.
32:07 normally you shoot either at the heart and/or head to make it fatal, but the gun was pointed at an angle (it seemed to be way below 90) for below waist
I really want Player 120 to do well in the end.😢❤
Hopefully we dont have to wait too long for season 3 in 2025.
37:30 One possibility is that he has PTSD too
I too am skeptical that the Dad caricaturist is dead-it wasn't enough of a beat to complete the storyline between those two, plus, idk if it's just me, but I kinda got hints of a vibe between Dad and Hyunju
Exactly!
@@Omn1Media I think the Captain was the one working with the organ harvesters. They mentioned in S1 having to swim and deliver to someone on a boat.
35:56 That was EXACTLY what I was thinking what would probably happen next season when you mentioned whether she was the person that shot him and/or if the guy died
My wicked loving self, loving the pink and green lights lmao
I just got done finishing your previous episode literally a minute ago!
SAME! I love how fast he uploaded. About to dive into this one now.
Fabulous episode. I can’t wait for season 3.
Boat captain is probably the guy that picks up the organs and brings them to shore. I knew he was in on it.
gihun talks politely even all through this, i just noticed 😭
17:50 facts if this was a cod map you won’t stand a chance against campers mostly 😂
what struck me the most is the soundtrack that played at the end since it sounded very similar to when Sae-byuk died last season. They even had a parallel of Gi-hun being pinned down by the pink soldiers. Though I think Gi-hun was way more devastated here and was crying harder since that was his longtime friend 💔
Also I know it's the end of the season but just to let you know: No-eul's name is pronounced "No-oohl", Dae-ho is "Deh-oh", Hyun-ju is "Hyuhn-joo" (although you do occasionally say them correctly 😅)
bro se-mi was my favorite character :((
Min-su (Player 125) wasn't even one of the bad players and yet I hated him more than Thanos and the other junkie lol.
I admit I won't be entirely sad if he does die but I need Nam-gyu to go first
Him and the scared Marine should both go.

That is the right feeling...defeated 😩
I'm glad u get it...many ppl are confused and disappointed with how things unravel in ep7 and the cliffhanger but they don't understand that this specific squid games is technically not about the actual games or even the players is about breaking Gihun.
13:07 - The Frontman must really not want to pay his employees to the point where he lets them die and kills them off himself 😂
Need to see the next season right now!
I love unnie she was one of the mvps of the season.
with the way cod maps are designed nowadays, i wouldnt even be surprised if they added this in the next seaosn 🤣
I know when Season 3 hits I'll be inconsolable. Geum-Ja & Hyun-Ju dying? Just done.
the dad's death ☹️
I wonder if the Captain was in it from the start, and that's how he was around to save Jun-Ho (maybe ordered not to kill him by Frontman)
you are literally the only reactor to point out that they only made it that far because inho was there . they were always doomed to fail , the soliders couldve literally guarded that toilet door and they coulve sent in more soliders . you are so observant , you just gained a new subscriber
You're so fast! I really need season 3 for answers 😂
That's the entire point, he ended up proving the front man's point more about killing people for the better.
You should check out anime "Kaiji", it was stated as an inspiration for Squid Game, and I think it's as good, if not better.
I wonder if the endgame of this show is Gi Hun running the games, becoming part of the system cause as much as I am all for stopping the games, I don’t think Gi Hun, Jun-ho, their team or any of the players have the power to do so, no matter how much money they might get.
that and aren't there other games going on outside of Korea?
@@AlessaParker no
@@euphoria2737 I just checked back. In the Season 1 episode where the VIPs appear, one of them mentions that the contest in Korea is the best.
obviously, 388 has PTSD, he was forcefully sent to the MARINES because his dad thought he was too soft and too girly playing and always being around his sisters, all that gunfire probably brought back his trauma, and panic attacks.
Oh final episode? Nooooo
M25s aren't actually used in regular branches of military, so it would make sense that daeho didn't know how to work that gun specifically and hyunju (because she was in special forces) would :)
also I FULLY believe that daeho was a Marine and not just because of mandatory enlistment lol. there're too many quirks and personality traits to his character that would be completely erased if he was lying about that.
I'm really glad that you didn't just start jumping on daeho though, he gets entirely too much hate as it is😞
I know writer/director said he is OVER squid games and is glad he can step away from it now, but id be remiss if we dont get a prequel series about the games the front man won..it would be the best way to "humanize" him as much as u can..from the story he tells, he pretty much went thru the same thing gi hun did as far as it bring too late to save his wife after he won (much like gi huns mom dying b4 he won).. the only difference being the tragedy "broke" the front man and destroyed his faith in humanity whilst gi hun was able to hold on to his humanity n I think THIS is why the frontman wants to break him. He envys gi huns outlook on the whole situation and is attemping to prove his worldview "correct" and wants gi hun to lose his faith and come to see things the frontmans way...gi hun started proving the frontmans point when he agreed to sacrifice the few for the many..
Sometimes a coward is more dangerous then the thug
Just my guess:
Season 2 number 001(the front man) is actually son of Season 1 number 001.
The old man 001 from season 1 said his son does not like white milk. Season 2 001 also dont like white milk. (episode 6)
Front man cares so much about the pregant girl because she reminds him his dead wife with baby.
(the front man becomes a good guy)
In the end 456 becomes the front man. (456 becomes a bad guy)
this guess is all from the book "The Four Fundamental Concepts of Psychoanalysis" by jacques Lacan, which was found in Front man's residence in real life in Season 1.
From the book, "The purpose of the drive is not to reach a goal (a final destination)(ENDING GAME) but to follow its aim (the way itself)(PLAYING GAME), which is to circle round the object."
Your guess makes sense
I also think the pregnant woman will survive with baby.
Somebody should make a Counterstrike map out of this
I’m gonna miss Thanos a bit crazy junkie
This plan was stupid for many reasons one of which they lost the chance to leave the game since most of if not all those that went on the suicide mission were ones that voted to leave
well they all agreed with the plan, pretty sure it they all said they wanted to vote and go home, gihun would just accept it. plus, that was his plan all along. to stop the games. he didn't wanna kill innocent people from the other team, he wanted to kill the guards.
I think there is a good chance the father made it because of the whole no body no death trope.
21:18
Player 120 is my favorite character she's badass, she stole this show, Park sung-hoon is do amazing job as player 120, I really want her, mother and son and pregnant lady to live ,survive and live happily after those soldiers better save them if not I'll be piss than motherfucker, again they better stay alive in the final season 2025, overall happy new year
17:46 there actually did put squid game in call of duty
This map? :o
I think different map idk all I saw is the trailer of it
24:05 well... he wasnt lying.
"Sacrifice a few for the greater good" how ironic those words are.
Hehe, nice.
The framing of this episode with the two groups really makes me think season 2 is all about the political divide
There are people in power who play with us.
Some people want to keep playing the game in hopes of winning it big, some for selfish reasons, others for valid reasons
While some want to stop, to change the system
The players of the game get caught up fighting and hating each other, killing each other
When our enemy isnt across from us
But above
Your enemy is NOT your fellow player, it is the game master
How many people are we willing to lose for a select few to win big?
LFG !!!
I think Daeho lied about being a marine, because they showed 16:05 us him struggling with gun, otherwise what's the point of it
Think the tattoo is fake or maybe he went in but defected or went awol and ended up here never having actually finished training.
I don’t know.. that’s just how I feel and wanted to share it 😅
Apologies for the long comment 🙏🏽
45:43 for Gi Hun's hero play
So now instead of Season 3, we’re going to Season 2 Part 2. 🤦🏻
why does no one talk about the post credit scene?!
I got zero things to say about it lol
Minsu is a lil wimp. 😡
Loll that RUDEEEE got me 😅🤣😂
Damn 😢
@Omn1media,
I've probably put way to much thought into this but hear me out 😊😊
First thing is about the "Recruiter":
When he goes to the park/plays roulette with the people he captured got me thinking about how he wanted our main character (I'm not trying to spell the character's names because I'll totally mess it up, please forgive me) to admit he was
"A piece of trash who just got lucky." He really needed to hear that from him to solidify his personal World view, like he said he started out working for the game masters he never had the balls to play for real!
I started thinking about in the first season when his Brother found the tiny room he was living in and all the types of books he was reading, it made me think he had similar trauma after he won his games as our main character and may have tried to find a different way but watching each year of the games play out made him more jaded to the point he decided the change in people needed would never happen in his lifetime so screw it 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Another thing about the front man is we learn that he and the host from last season were close and maybe hearing him explain how he felt being part of the games is why he chose to join these (of course he wanted to study our main character up close and personal too) and to see if that hope would rub off on him.
That's all I have to say about the show for now 😅😅
Omn1, I love watching shows with you for the same reason so many have stated in the comments section. There's a beautiful humanness that flows from you when reacting to shows and it's felt even through the barrier of the screen.
Thank You for that! I hope your Holiday Season was a great one.
That's All For Now,
Love Y'all!!🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️💜💜

It makes me mad that not all the men in that room helped. If they did, they would have won because all South Korean men go to the army. Then again In ho was playing his own game idk ugh
I don't think there'd be enough guns anyhow
@ yeah everything about this was rigged from the beginning on purpose anyway, even down to how and who was recruited smh.

The sight of the rebels fighting is reminiscent of Rooftop Korean. (1992)
s3 has two official games left until the last Squid Game ? I'm so intrigued on where this will end and who will make it. I dont want my top 3 characters to die. I really want the father... thepregnant girl and the transgender woman to make it.
Not happy with Min u or whatever his name is. He just threw a bottle and let her die. I’m not rooting for him at all.
Big man there dropping a bottle and hiding in his bed while his baby momma is getting murdered.
17:44 - There is a Call of Duty x Squid Game crossover actually.
